First January Color Challenge Entry
Here is a gorgeous tag made by Donna Davis and is her entry into the January Color Challenge. She used Creme Brulee, Juniper and Cocoa; "Find Your Style" and "Universal Backgrounds" stamp sets; and the AP cartridge for the branch, leaves, and tag.

December Challenge Drawing Winner
Better late than never! Check out this great handmade journal created by Karen Kondrick. To embellish it she used November's Stamp of the Month, "Cherish The Day" and the Art Philosophy cartridge among other things. Karen won the drawing for December's challenge and will receive a small gift from me. Thanks so much to those who play along each month and don't forget about January's challenge which is due February 15th. January's challenge is a color challenge. Create something using the colors Juniper, Creme Brulee and Cocoa and mostly Close to My Heart products. You can use other colors, but these three colors must be in the project. Send me a pic to be inlcuded in the drawing.

Heart to Heart Color Challenge
This week's Heart2Heart Challenge Blog challenge was to use the colors Crystal Blue and Amethyst on a project. This one was kind of challenging for me because I tend toward warm colors usually. I used the Rock the Block set and some chipboard flowers, ribbon, opaques and sparkles. The additional "challenge" was to use glitter on your project... now if you know me at all you know that this part was not a challenge for me..lol.

Music Gives
This is a birthday gift for my son's girlfriend. It will go in a shadow box. The flowers are from the AP cartridge as well as the flourishes and leaves. I used one of the Sonoma papers for the background, old old Life Is Music and Butterflies stamp sets and on the bamboo paper I used Universal Backgrounds (one of my all time favorite sets). Lots of bling later, this is what I got. I'm hoping she likes it.

H2H Unused Stamp Set Challenge
Here is my card for the Unused Stamp Set Challenge on the Heart2Heart Challenge Blog. I won't have my January Stamp of the Month for a couple weeks and wanted to showcase it at an upcoming workshop. I bought the Remember This set quite a while ago and never used it and now I can't figure out why! It's very similar to the Little Reminder Stamp of the Month for January so I decided it would be an ok substitute. My littlest brother, Scott, turned 40 this year! This will be his birthday card. The paper I used was Elemental... another thing I haven't used before as well as the Kraft Die Cut cards. This card is full of firsts!

Art Philosophy Cutout Cards
If you are attending Laurie Bitten's workshop on Sunday, here is a sneak peak of one of the cards we'll be making. I find it hard to decide how to decorate the cutout cards so Sunday three of the cards we'll be making are cutout cards... each one with a different way to decorate these fantastic cards. We'll be making a total of 5 cards on Sunday. Hope to see you there!

December 'Past Stamp of the Month' Challenge
Here is Donna Davis' oh so pretty submission for the December challenge to use a past Stamp of the Month on any creation. She used 'Blessed' and 'A Little Thanks' to make this beautiful card. Create, take a pic and send it to me to be entered into a drawing for a gift from me. This challenge is open to all of my customers. The challenge deadline is January 15th so there is still plenty of time!

Collage Cube Fun!
My kids and I and good friends of ours used to go to Letchworth State Park every October to take pics with the beautiful views and autumn foliage. We haven't done it in a few years because as my kids got older it was very hard to get everyone together for a good part of a day. My youngest is a senior in high school this year and my oldest a senior in college and I knew this could be the last time we have the opportunity to do this so I asked the boys to set aside a Sunday for me and they did. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. It was a very overcast and rainy day. The pictures weren't all they could have been (especially considering I was hoping to take senior pics of Ryan while there), but we had so much fun. We laughed more than we've laughed together in a long time. Short and sweet but one of my favorite trips there... thank you so much boys... it was a real gift to me.
Here is my Collage Cubes set, which is featured in this month's Rock The Block promotion and will be available for sale when the new Idea Book goes live in February. I'm showing three sides of the cubes... the other sides are mostly just covered in paper. The trickiest part of this project was decorating with fairly flat items so the cubes sit nicely in the tray... you know me and my embellishments! But even with a few buttons, sparkles, and chipboard pieces the cubes sit nicely on all sides. I used the background stamps to add design to the "F" and the "U" chipboard pieces and stamped a paisley on the "N" chipboard piece. I also liquid glassed all the letters including the inside of the "N" square. I cannot wait to see what YOU do with YOUR cubes! (Smells like a possible future challenge!)
I'll also take this opportunity to congratulate Ginny Maltbie! I drew Ginny's name for the challenge for November. Thanks to all of you who participated and I hope to have even more entries for December's challenge... a reminder to come soon.
