So... I did my time in the old coal mine... all the while my mind was here with you... and my craft room and a nice warm cup of coffee on this "chilly" Phoenix day...
For my second project for the hop I used another one of those cute Artistry coffee cups that I cut out... I mean.. I have to use them up! I decided one more with red and then I'm leaving them behind in favor of using some of the new awesome coffee papercrafting paraphernalia that I've picked up since the last Coffee Hop. One more and then maybe some chores... maybe.. mmm... maybe not!
On this one, I tried the old Versamark on the snowflake embossing folder again and used the snowy glitter embossing powder again. Love the way it came out, but I've discovered it's really hard to see when the white embossing powder/glitter is done cooking on white paper...lol... so I did overdo it in one area, but that's ok... I do like things a little distressed don't I? I used CTMH White Pines for the cup and used the zip strip across the bottom.. and the red background with the circles is from one of the CTMH Paper Fundamentals packs.
This beautiful Joy cutout was made with some gold metallic paper and the Paper Sweeties Sweet Cuts. The sentiment is from CTMH Miracle of Christmas, and it's not a card without some Paper Sweeties flower shaped, cupped sequins in gold. Now... I'm still on my very first pack of gold sequins... which I purchased months ago... but I use them on almost every single card I make.. you can see... I'm not hoarding them. Debbie from Paper Sweeties claims they have been counted and there are approximately 300 sequins in a package. I'm sorry.. I think she meant 3000... or maybe it's just an endless bag. I have one for backup ... but it's awfully lonely. My goal-finish up the bag before the end of the hop. It's a lofty goal... pie in the sky type of thing.. but I think if I work hard... I can do it!
So did you get a gander at this fella?
I can't take credit for him... I placed a cyber weekend order from Ellen Hutson LLC and this little cutie was on a thank you tag that was attached to my order! Already colored and everything! Suppose I should get credit for thinking to actually save it... he kind of looks like he's up to something doesn't he?
So thanks for stopping... and come back and see me soon! Hoping to have lots more posts this week for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and the Choux Choux Paper Arts Holiday Challenges. Don't forget to go to those sites too and check out more of the artwork... lots to see! You don't have to see them all... but why wouldn't you??
