Under the wire with this one... the Winter/Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop has come to a close... it's back to life as I know it. Tomorrow... work, Christmas shopping, get many of the cards I've made this week out in the mail... clean out some of the dust bunnies...
For this one, I used the old embossing folder covered in Versamark and then my new Clear Gold Highlight embossing powder. Then I stamped my coffee stain stamps and embossed them in gold. I shall use this word Gold many times in this post. I stamped and embossed that cute little Waffle Flowers freebie stamp I was lucky enough to get because I couldn't sleep and was up at 2am... in gold. I used another yummy gold doily (snowflake shaped) from Michael's... Some flowers I made many projects ago that have some Gold Color Shine on them... and some Gold Bling Gems from CTMH. I used white seam binding ribbon and tied a gold bell around it. I decided that I needed a splash of color so I used one of my favorite colors.... NO... not gold silly.. Lagoon... or Ocean... or Aqua... whatever you want to call it... I love it and I love it with one of my other favorite colors... YES!... gold.
Thanks so much to everyone who has stopped by and left me comments. I shall see you again, if not before, then in a few months for the next hop.. as we used to say in the good old Western part of New York... God willing and the creek don't rise.
I will be here Monday for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, but don't think there will be any more posts after that until Christmas weekend.... in case you want to come back sooner.
Love and Peace to you all this Holiday Season!!
Haha, it's always so fun to visit your blog and read your posts! I leave with a smile and chuckle! I don't know how you put together these fabulous cards so quickly - mine have been CAS but yours are detailed and beautiful! What I love most about this is all the gold! So elegant looking! If I'm not talking to you again before Christmas, hope it's a happy one! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHere we are... "Looks like we made it...." as the once Love of My Life sang... yeah... I was young and I just didn't know there was no chance. Eventually I moved on to Sean Cassidy. Anyway, me, Pal, SNAP OUT OF IT!! Christmas is a week away!!!! Thanks, I needed that :)
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely card, Lisa! TFS!
ReplyDeleteStunning!!! Love the elegant colors. TFS

ReplyDeleteGorgeous color combo! It's been fun!!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, such wonderful decorations behind the cup and I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteHello, Lisa! Hope you are recovering from the fun! I'm still dreaming of coffee, tea, and cocoa but I need to get to that dreaded housework haha!
ReplyDeleteJust saw your questions on embossing folders on my Flickr cards. For the one that looks like a frame of snowflakes - just got this one recently and I love it too! I can't remember where I found it, but it should be easy as it's by Darice called Snowflake Trim. The other snowflake folder is from Taylored Expressions - Winter Flurry. I love TE EFs because they cover the whole A2 card front unlike Cuttlebug where it's a tiny bit smaller. The EF with the cute penguins I've had for a long time and it came in a 4-pack - Cuttlebug Christmas Set - it's 5x7.
You also asked me about my ornament - yes, I just used half the ornament. Found them at the dollar store. I've been seeing people make these half-baubles and got totally inspired!
Looks like you got all your commenting done - you totally rock! TTFN
Gold and aqua...I love that combo! Gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful card Lisa, I was also admiring the embossing folder on the penguin card that KT Fit Kitty...gave me info I needed. All your gold embossing and glitter looks fantastic, not to mention the beautiful white poinsettias.
ReplyDeleteHey, my ornament is right next to the last card you submitted, we are right-on. Could have been because you told me the deadline was like now; but we still had time for another card.
ReplyDeleteThe gold and blue is spectacular together! I never would have come up with that one. I've got to remember it! Bravo!
