Welcome back to Day 3 of the July Paper Sweeties Blast From The Past! I have something new for you today:
Here's another one I made using the Let's Go To The Beach stamp set and Sweet Cuts dies. I can't take credit for the idea of using a sand castle as more of a princess castle in the clouds. This is definitely a card that was inspired by others that I've seen.
This time my for sky background I just watercolored some paper with various blue hues, splattered, and then cut it out with a background die when it was dry. I used the dies from both the Let's Go To the Beach Sweet Cuts and the Showering You With Love Sweet Cuts to get a couple different shaped clouds... I use these two ALL the time!
And since this card is pretty girly, I'm playing along with the Aud Sentiments Challenge #159 For a girl + a sentiment!
I stamped the castle and colored it in pink of course!! I chose to fussy cut this one and then I hid the little sand hills surrounding it with the clouds. At first I thought they could be clouds... but I liked it better when they were covered. I drew in my flag because I accidentally cut off the flag that was on the top of the sand castle...lol... but I like the way it came out!
And again I used my Wish die from the Wish Sweet Cuts... I just LOVE these word dies and how delicate they are. I adhere mine with some liquid glue that has a very fine tipped point. And this time for the dot above the "I" I used another one of the heart centers I had laying around from cutting the heart banners from the Sweet Borders Set.

To finish it off I added some beautiful Paper Sweeties Crinkly Seam Binding in Bubblegum and those beautiful Frosting Sequins. I think next to gold the Frosting are my favorite.. they are clearish yet iridescent and so beautiful on any project! Although... creamsicle is pretty awesome too... not to mention the cookie dough... wait... I'm getting sidetracked... easily distracted by sparkling items... Oh! And I had this bunch of paper flowers I ordered that are prety but some of them have that stamen center which I've been kind of ripping out and replacing with something like a sequin... however I just realized how awesome they look with the sequin AND the stamen popped back in the center... so... happy accident for sure!
Thanks for stopping today! It's been fun celebrating some retro releases! Be sure to hop on over to all of the Design Team members' blogs and check out their awesome projects:
