You know I love Brentwood and I also love Halloween and I especially love making cards and such with the awesome Halloween colors and images. The Trick or Treat sentiment is from the new set... don't you just love Jessica's handwriting? So much fun!
With this card I'm playing along with the Crafting With An Attitude Anything Goes Challenge #19... this is a fun one and there are prizes! Check it out!
I wanted to color Brentwood in green .. I wasn't sure, but I figured what the heck... and I've decided I love him in green! I think he likes it too. And see the cute little kitty sitting on the fence? He's kind of subtle but that's cause he's in the shadows and of course he's black.
My background is colored with Tim Holtz distress inks in purple and dark blue and then I used a star stencil and some gold texture paste.
And then I thought.. well, if he looks good in green he'd probably look good in other colors too... so I asked him if he'd like to be a pumpkin for Halloween and he said... Why Not??
So I like the way he looks... and yeah... that's a lot of orange...lol! But I like it! My background here was also colored with distress inks and then I used a sunray stencil and added some extra yellow for some subtle sunrays.
This sentiment from another set was perfect for this card so I had to use it.
This set comes with a couple more pumpkins so it was fun to create this large gang of orange friends... they seem to be having a good time....
And then I thought... orange and green were good... how about....
Purple? Sure, Brentwood said! He loves purple! Love the hocus pocus sentiment on this set and that cute little kitty! I used some of my favorite dies to make a shaker with this one and some watercolored paper I made a while ago... I left no shade of purple untouched in my arsenal of markers, watercolors, ribbon and papers.. glitter and otherwise....
Tried to give this one a magical feel.... stars and swirls and pretty splatters of watercolors and gold drops ...
LOVE that sentiment...
So I hope you've enjoyed my Halloween Moonbow of colors... I had fun coloring them! Be sure to hop on over to the JessicaLynnOriginal Blog and checkout all of the design team creations for today and leave some love... AND find out how you can win a stamp set!
