Paper Sweeties Countdown to Christmas!

It's time for 25 Days of Christmas over at Paper Sweeties!  All month long Paper Sweeties is celebrating with a month-long holiday blog hop and a different special every day to save in the shop!  Today is my day to share a project and here is what I've created:

If you haven't gotten one of these Sweet Chips sets yet you really must!  So many possibilities!  There are four layers of chipboard... a base and three window layers!  I made this shaker decor item for my Mom for her birthday which is today!  I made it while we scrapped together and she didn't even realize it was for her...lol!

I had the perfect piece of design paper in my Sugar Plum paper pack from My Mind's Eye to serve as my first layer and background.  Then I used the landscape die from The Tree of Life Sweet Cuts set to make multiple layers of snowy hills.  Then I stamped my snowman from Holly Days Stamp Set and the reindeer from Jingle All The Way and popped them up with foam tape.  I used one of the layers to trace it onto the woodgrain paper for my top layer before I attached them all.  And don't forget to add the clear cardstock if you're creating a shaker before you attach the top layer..'cause I would do that...lol!  And before I put my top chipboard layer on, I filled the bottom parts with lots of sequins and beads.

I embossed a piece of gray cardstock for my base... I'd originally used a shiny metallic paper, but it just wasn't right... I like the gray much better.  And I decorated again using glittery holly leaves cut with the Holly Days Sweet Cuts and those pretty felt flowers from my stash.  Not to mention one of my very favorite crinkly seam bindings, robin egg blue.

Oh... and did I mention one of my favorite group of dies.. the word dies... love the delicate script on these!  Believe is from the Joy Sweet Cuts.

There is an awesome set of directions that comes with these kits with pointers and tips and as always, we're always over at the Paper Sweeties Inspiration Facebook Page if you have any questions.

Also!  Don't forget to play along with this month's Inspiration Challenge!  It's a beautiful picture to gain inspiration from... It's Anything Goes... pick something that inspires you and just create!  And for December the prize is a whopping $100 to spend in the Paper Sweeties Shop!

Thank you so much for stopping by and be sure to come back to the Paper Sweeties Blog often to see who is up for the day and what the special is for the day!

And don't forget about Visions of Sugarplums still going on... you can find today's post here.
