Yippee Skippee It's Release Day over at Paper Sweeties and it's the day the new sets are available in the shop! Here's what I've made for you today:
If you know me at all, you know that I'm #MadforPlaid for sure! I picked out my paper and then colored in the Eggs image from the new Hoppy Easter stamp set in coordinating colors with my Copics. I meant to add a layer of vellum before I added all of my other stuff to my card and didn't realize that I had forgotten until I was all done... but you know what?? I love it without.. and that vellum must have known because I still can't find that darn layer that I had already cut out and everything!
Rather than decorating my eggs with stripes and polka dots as I first thought I might I decided to color them in solid and then splatter some alcohol on them to create this mottled effect... hadn't done that in a while and I liked the look of it... I gave the same treatment to the leaves from the Bee Happy set. I layered my eggs and leaves on the bottom and then popped up the banner from the Hello Friend stamp set. Hoppy Easter is one of the very cute sentiments on this new stamp set.
I had this leftover packaging that some order of something had come lovingly packaged in... I save things like this all the time, but can I find it when I need it? Sometimes! And this time I found it easily so I was able to use that crinkly paper like grass that these pretty eggs might be nestled in. I added some of the sweet flowers from the new set and I was wishing I had a chocolate bunny to add... can you see him peeking out there? Do you recognize him?? Guess.....
Those cute little fellas are from the slippers in the I Love You set... tee hee! I just added a nose and some whiskers and now they are chocolate bunnies! They were the perfect size!
So thanks for stopping by and putting up with my shenanigans! Be sure to hop around and see what everyone else has created for you today and then head on over to the shop to get yours! And come back tomorrow for the Release Rewind!
