So I think I kinda did it? A Kind of Clean and Simple Card? KCAS? There's a lot of white anyway! I was dying to make a shaker using these Arizona Skies sequins because they are so pretty and I think the colors go perfectly with the April #CDDMONTHLY Challenge...
I used my original Tim Holtz distress inks to create the background for the shaker in some pinks and purples (I picked up some oxides but haven't cracked them open yet). Then I used the Inside Scallop dies to create my shaker window and filled it up with the pretty new sequin mix.
I colored in my flamingo and flowers using my new watercolor pencils that my friend Jean made me buy. We do that to each other you know.. They are the Faber Castell Albrecht Durer Watercolor Pencils and a waterbrush and I love them.
I highlighted the the flowers with some glittery gel pens and some Wink of Stella... which shockingly you can kind of see here! I also mixed my purple and pink embossing powder for the sentiment from the Floral Wreaths stamp set.. the pink wasn't quite dark enough for my liking so adding a little bit of purple helped and I think it looks cool!
I'm linking up to the first challenge over at SheepSki Designs Challenges. It's Anything Goes... you should check it out! And don't forget to join in the #CDDMONTHLY Social Media Challenge on Facebook in the Craftin Desert Divas Gallery.
