The Cutting Cafe-Road Trip Inspiration

It's time for some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  This time around we're working with the It's Road Trip Time Again Printable Stamp Set.  I used it to create this Scrapbook of our road trip to the Grand Canyon... yes, I said scrapbook... doesn't always have to be in the form of an actual "book"....

I'm playing along with the Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge #175 Anything Goes! and the Cut It Up Challenge #123 Summer School!  You should check them out!

I used some old CTMH paper and accessories from my stash that had a really distressed feel to them and a travel kind of theme.  And along with the so very many stamps in this printable set, my photos, and some keepsakes... that's all I needed!

The very cool road sign and car are from the set.....

I printed all of my images in black and white... but you can print them in color if you prefer!

I started with a white recipe box from my stash... I covered and modgepodged it with papers from the pack.  I found that cool handle in my stash... it was a gift from a crafty friend... thank you crafty friend!  It was perfect for this!  Once it was dry I went to town decorating it...

Love the bingo cards in this set... I just printed this one with the little bit of color it had and distressed it....

And they come in a couple different sizes too!

Then I cut a bunch of 4x6 pieces of cardstock, distressed, added layers, photos and then used various stamps from the set... the compass; the car; the Road Trip sentiment and the road sign... that Road Trip sentiment came from one of the cool backgrounds in the set... I printed two and used one to cut single sentiments out of:

Very cool that you can print them in color or in black and white... I chose black and white so I could add the colors in my paper palette...

It really went together very quickly!

This scrapbook box can easily sit on an end table or coffee table so that I can look at it and remember this awesome trip often...

Love those suitcases too!

Here I cut some of that cool word background AS a background... colored it in with a variety of my copics.. splattered some alcohol on it... love the way it came out!

And on the photo at the top of this pic, I used some vintage photo distress ink to distress a piece... love that look too!

I'm not quite done with this yet, but I figured this was as many pics as you'd want to have to wade through...lol!  This is one of my favorite non people photos...

I didn't even use every part of this awesome file... there is even a shaped card file in it!  Some of the girls have used this as well and you definitely want to check them out....

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to hop on over to the Cutting Cafe blog on the 7th.. leave some comments for a chance to win some free files and then check out what my Design Teamies have created for you!

Come back soon!
