Welcome to the May Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas! We are four crafty friends who have committed to making a Christmas card a week for the year so that when Christmas comes all of our cards are made and all we have to do is mail them out! We share them each month on the 25th of the month and that's today!
And this month we have a special guest crafty friend joining us!
Our lineup today is:
Lisa (You Are Here)
and our special guest:
Without further ado... here is how I was inspired:
I have been coloring these pups from Art Impressions all month and then put the cards together all at once. The stamp set is Santa Paws and you can find it here!
I'm playing along over at the Art Impressions All Layered Up Challenge! I LOVE layers... I love to create little mini scenes using various stamps and diecuts... and usually I throw a frame in there too...and lots of different thicknesses of foam tape. This challenge was made for me!
I started with the awesome Trinity Slimline Frame and Fold die set to create this cute mini card and used the photo frame cut for my mini scenes!
Honestly I don't know which of these pups is my favorite....
I was trying to decide what design papers to use and then I landed on these cute papers from Doodlebug... an old pad from prior years...and it was perfect because I'm playing along over at Double Trouble's Brown Bag-It Day Challenge which is all about the Kraft! I cut the squares to fit perfectly by using the photo frame die again and saved the frames for a future project because they're kinda cute!... ok... VERY cute!
To create my scenes, I used the Slimline Scenic Border Die Set for the snow and cut it down to 2 1/2" lengths to fit in the frame; the little house in the background is from Trinity's Tall Shaker Dome Die Set; and the trees are from Paper Smooches Holiday Sweets Dies. I just used some of the strips from the Doodlebug papers as a pseudo sentiment to save time and I love them!
And of course there is some coffee included!! We're in the middle of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop don't ya know! Click on the link to check it out if it's new to you and hope you play along! Tons of sponsors and chances to win for linking up new projects... get all the details in the main hop post.
For this one I did at an additional sentiment because I thought the one from The Rabbit Hole Designs Caffeinated Reindeer stamp set was perfect. And that cute little cup is from the new Cozy Cup Die Set... I love that she included this in there!! I am going to be using it a lot! And I made it a Christmas mug by positioning it over a little Santa in the Doodlebug paper.
That's me for today! Be sure to check out everyone's projects... links are at the beginning of the post! And now for my happy mail winner from last month's post:
Theresa! Whoop! Send me your address puhlease!
And to Vanessa from last month... I have not yet mailed yours... I just got some stamps in from the post office as I haven't been physically going there... so I'm hoping to send out both on Tuesday!
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me some love! I'm playing again this month and I'll choose someone from any comments left to send some happy mail to! Come again soon!!
I love your set of cards! The coordination of colors and elements are absolutely perfect. Thanks for letting me join you all this month!
