Excited because today is Release Day over at Rubbernecker Stamps! We've got lots of new florals in the shop! I used a few of the new sets for today along with lots of fun stuff from previous releases!
For this one, I used the new Geranium Sparkle stamp set! I started with a gel print created with some acrylic paint and the Butterfly Flowers stamp set. I ran it through the Minc with some Magical Shattered Glass Deco Foil... can't really see it in these pics but boy is it pretty in person.
I stamped the floral twice and colored and fussy cut. I cut apart the white one so that I could break up the white and pink flowers. I popped them up onto the background with some foam adhesive.
I had the circle from the Square Combo die left over from a previous project. I popped it up onto the base and then cut a circle to fit in the center, stamped the sentiment onto it and popped it up into the center of the frame. Finally I cut a butterfly from some scraps from another gel print, colored the center with a black marker and added it to the sentiment circle.
Below are the Rubbernecker products I used for this one! I've included links to all of the Rubbernecker products I used for today's cards below each card. Should you choose to purchase products using these links, I may receive a small compensation at no additional charge to you. And thank you!
For my second card, I used the new Daffodil Blooms stamp set! I love Daffodils because they are so easy and SO beautiful. They come back every year with no work and they are some of the first flowers to bloom in the Spring.
In my yard in Western New York, I had quite a few different varieties of daffodils including some like this with pretty yellow petals and an orange cupped center. I decided this image would be perfect for the Flower Bouquet Wrap die. I cut the bottom stems off because they weren't quite long enough to show in the opening at the bottom of the wrap.. trimmed it thinner and inserted it into the wrap base.
I added some of the Canterbury Bell flowers to the bouquet (which look more like Lily of the Valley to me... another one of my favorites).
The background started with a watercolor gel print using the swirls stencil... and since it was a very light print, I stenciled over it with the Damask Stencil. I popped the Diamond cover over the top and then added my bouquet. Finally I stuck in a couple flourishes cut from white glitter paper and added a sentiment from the Daffodil set.
Next, I used the new Hugs Your Way stamp set!
I started with another watercolor gel print using the Swirls stencil. Then I cut that gorgeous Decorative Floral Circle Die and popped it up onto the background. Then I used the Sun Burst stencil to add some rays to white cardstock and cut out a circle just large enough to fit inside the Decorative Floral die.
I stamped, cut and colored the floral from the set and popped it up onto the base. Finally a cute sentiment with some funky fonts and a few sequins.
And last, but not least, the beautiful Watercolor Spring Tree!
I rarely make flat cards and while this one is not quite a one layer, it's about as flat as I get! I started again with a watercolored gel print, this time using the Sun Burst stencil. All of my watercolor prints were made with my Gel Press, Color Fuse Inks and water.
I stamped the tree over the top using my stamp positioner. I needed to stamp a few times so that the image would show up over the top of the background. I just LOVE the way the sun rays show through just a little as sun rays can do!
I cut a sheet of paper in a curve to use as a mask and created a hill under the tree... along with the darker green grass image from the set and then some added color with markers. Finally, again using the stamp positioner, I stamped the sentiment directly over the background.
I die cut the watercolored panel.using a stitched rectangle and then added that to a white Nested Scallop die. I popped that up onto the pink background and then a white base.
There are lots more stamps, stencils and more in this release! Be sure to head over to Rubbernecker Stamps and check it all out!
