Eat Play Love - A Colorful Life Designs

Hi!  I decided to have some fun with some stencils I picked up over in the A Colorful Life Designs shop fairly recently.  There is a special anniversary challenge over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog so I decided to play along over there!

My first card I just had to use the Puppy Pals stencils (they come with masks!) and Eat Play Love.  Since the theme over at Double Trouble is Kraft I used it for both of my cards today.  I love how it looks with the browns and black Distress Oxides.  The Eat Play Love stencil does have a heart but I decided to add a glitter heart die cut over it for this one.  I used the included masks to put both pups on the same side.

And this is the one that's going to be linked up over at Double Trouble.  The special anniversary challenge asks you to choose an additional theme in the form of a "raffle" and there is a special raffle prize!  Be sure to read all of the details over on their blog.  I'm entering this one into the Birthday or Newborn raffle.

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - May 2024 Edition

Hello!  It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas cards we made this month!  Be sure when you leave here you check out what Debra and Michael have for you today!

Recently Honey Bee Stamps had a sale and I picked up some fun things in their shop!  That Peace word die and stamp set were perfect and I knew I'd use that Peace word for one or more Crafty Elves posts!

But when I came across this gel print in my stash with the pretty foiled snowflake on it, I knew the Peace would be perfect and then I saw that Helping Hand die set (which last I checked is only $3 on clearance!!) with the peace sign and I thought it would be fun to make the hand catching snowflakes and yeah... why not a peace sign!?  I used lots of papers from past and present Your Paper Insider boxes.  I love it!

Miss Ink Stamps - Wildflower Stencils

Hi all!  Today I'm using the awesome layered stencil, Wildflowers, from the most recent release over at Miss Ink Stamps!

I was zoom crafting with my friend Alyson and she sowed me a card she made on dark paper using Perfect Pearls and I thought, I have some of those.  When it came down to it though I couldn't find them!  But I did find my Perfect Medium from Ranger and then I came across my chalks that I hadn't used in ages, so I thought I'd play a bit.

These stencils are numbered and come with a guide (I'll be sharing a reel sometime soon showing them) and these two things make them so easy to use!  As I used each layer, I added some Perfect Medium through the stencil and then a sponge to add the chalk.  I was going to use my little foam finger applicators but much to my surprise when you don't use them for years, they deteriorate and fall apart!  I heat set it when I was done and then added the sentiment from the Always Stamps and coordinating dies.

My goal for next time is to find my Perfect Pearls...lol.. we'll see how that goes. But this was fun and it reminds me of a velvet painting so popular when I was a kid.

Miss Ink Release Sneaks - Happy Thoughts

Brass & Bliss May 2024 Release

Happy Wednesday!  We've got a fun new release over at Brass & Bliss Craft Co!

We've got a summer vibe going on and the adorable Cats On The Beach stamp set is perfect for a summery card!

And the new Round Petal Cover die is so much fun!  You don't have to use the cutouts to insert multiple colors, but it' so fun to do that!  I cut it in three separate colors and for this one popped the turquoise die cut onto a solid panel of orange and then inserted yellow and blue cutouts back in a pattern.

Then I stamped, die cut and colored my image and created an ocean/sunshine background using the Mask Stencils and blended inks through the Wavy and Sun Burst Stencils and popped it all up onto the background.  Finally one of the fun sentiments from the set.

Similarly, I added the orange die cut panel over the top of a yellow panel and inserted the turquoise and orange cutouts in a different pattern.

I created another beachy background for this one... aren't those little flip flops and lotion images just the cutest??

And the sentiments from the Cats On The Beach set are fabulous...

This gorgeous floral was released earlier this month and I thought it would be perfect over the Offset Diamond Cover Plate die cut.

I popped the panel up over some glitter paper and used a couple Color Fuse inks to stamp the Hope sentiment in a similar color.

And the oh so lovely Tropical Dreams paper pad... I just love the colors.  I used it here as a background for the fun Mix & Match Coffee Dies... perfect for an iced coffee... and I added the whipped topping from the Winter Cocoa die for an extra frosty treat.

I added some Spring Flowers using cardstock that coordinated along with some of the matching solid papers from the paper pad and finally a sentiment from the fabulous Let's Meet For Coffee stamp set!
