Live the Life You Dream About with JessicaLynnOriginal

You are going to love this new stamp set by Jessica!  It's called Live the Life you Dream About and the images... while they are admittedly Southwest in feel they are also so versatile that I know I'll use them on a lot of different projects!

Here is the stamp set:

And here is what I've made with it:

This dream catcher image caught my eye right away.. I have a thing for dream catchers and I love the way Jessica drew this one... it's so pretty and those feathers... and the beads... LOVE!  I knew I wanted to make something pretty and pink so I got out my Distress Inks and made a 5x7 background that was like a rainbow and went from pink to orange to yellow to green to blue.. then I splashed some water droplets on it.

After it was dry, I embossed the feathers in a random pattern and I was a little messy with my embossing powder which is fine with me.  I never claimed to be Clean and Simple with my cards or my self...lol!

I finished it off with this cute Happy Birthday sentiment that is in the set... love the mixed fonts... so pretty.. and I just love using that pretty gold sparkled netted ribbon when I want to add some ribbon to a project, but don't want to cover up much of my piece.  Gold heart and a feather, a few sequins, and it felt done to me!

So you might be wondering where the green and blue went on my background piece...

I loved that ink distressed background so much I couldn't bear to use it up on one card, so I cut it into two smaller pieces and used the other half for this card!  I wanted even more of it to show so I decided to make it a shaker and make the "background" the main event.

This feather on the set is going to get a ton of use ... such a great addition to any card!  And the sentiments that are on it... a couple of my favorites!  I decided to heat emboss this one on the top of the clear cardstock!

The arrow with the pretty flowers is another one I'll use plenty... just such nice accessories ... I can see this on another card placed on top of a bow or nestled in it...

And there's that ribbon again... I actually cut the butterfly for the previous card and decided it was two big and when I placed it in the center of this webbed bow, I felt like it was perfect!  Just needed a few gold sequins and this one was good... I should mention that I smeared some Inka Gold all over the edges of both of these cards... just cause I could!

When I started on this one I was picturing something manly... something a man's man would want to receive... and I almost got there... but then there was this flower and there you go... so it's more a man whose comfortable with his feminine side card... or I could take the flower off and put something metal and rusty looking or wooden.. but for now... the flower makes me happy!  I'm really loving making blended ink backgrounds... far from an expert yet, but the beauty of it is I think it looks great even when it's not perfect.

This skull and that cactus... LOVE!!  More pretty feathers!

And another awesome sentiment... and I didn't even use all of the stamps on this one yet... I will.. I have so many more ideas!

So thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all of the Design Team makes for this release... they are pretty awesome!  And come back Monday for Atlantic Hearts because I think this stamp set just might make another appearance!
