Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #204

Welcome to this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  This week, I decided to play along with the Stamplorations Monthly Theme And Sketch Challenge (I'm playing along with the theme, Spring!), as well as the Cutplorations Challenge for March which has a beautiful floral theme and the Never Ending Anything Goes Challenge!

Aside from being inspired by this month's AHSC sketch and all of the other challenges I'm participating in... my main inspiration was my former Lessology Design Teammate Lizzy Hill.  If you've never checked out her blog before you must (just click on her name).  She makes the best, most yummy stuff including lots of scrapbook pages.  I was reading her latest blog post yesterday and then thought of the awesome handmade pocket letter she had sent me with all kinds of goodies handmade and not so I set out to find my inner Lizzy by using some of that stuff and a few other items... she sent me that jar with the flowers chipboard piece, the cute little word tags peaking out, and the doily that is behind them, and the pretty jewels I've scattered around... so pretty right.. and there's lots more for future projects so you'll be seeing those!

I was going to use one of the pretty word die cuts that she sent and they really would have fit this perfectly, but then I remembered I hadn't played along with Stamplorations in a while so I checked out the March challenges and decided to use one of the awesome new coffee dies and stamps that I got over there recently... Coffee Hop starts Friday!  I'm ready! I'm ready! Iiiiii'm ready! (as Spongebob likes to sing).  I also pulled out some pretty floral fabric tape that fit the themes (and of course after I adhered it I found the floral washi Lizzy had sent... oh well... guess I have to make another...lol!)

And since what got me started anyway was Lizzy's kraft layout with the awesome stenciled embossing paste background, I used a Stamplorations stencil and some gold texture paste and proceeded to splatter some stuff around... little gold and pink raindrops I think... and for my steam that pretty little heart cluster from Paper Sweeties.. I'll be using that a lot during the Coffee Hop for sure!

So here's this week's sketch!  Come and play with us!

And here's the inspiration photo for the Cutplorations challenge and I used the theme for the Theme and Sketch challenge which is Spring... perfect, right?!
