    I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday and a prosperous new year!
    On Japanese New Year ‘s customs;
    Adults put money in a special envelope and give it to children.
    This is called “otoshidama” and many children look forward to it very much!

  4. I saw it on the blog and it is an awesome card. I just love the festive design of that cup. And putting the sentiment on the cup that way looks great too. Your choice of papers and dies used really make the focal image stand out even more. I was reading the post by Ryoma above and maybe that was why my grandsons who live in Japan wanted American money this year. I made a special card for each of them too.

  6. Hi Lisa!! Happy New Year!!! I've been away from my computer while on Vacation - Then I got sick, so it's taken me longer to get back to blogging and stuff in general - Headed back to work today and thought I would pop in to say HELLO! I am feeling better, at least well enough to sit at my computer and type this out! LOL I loved flipping thru your blog to see what I've missed - You've been super busy it looks like! - LOVE the sentiment on the coffee cup and how lucky to get a whole bunch of goodies in the mail!! :) hopefully starting this weekend I'll be back to checking your blog daily as before - Big HUGS! :)
