Coffee Loving Cardmakers-Fun Stampers Journey Collaboration Hop!

So excited!!  Today is the day that the Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Fun Stampers Journey Design Teams hop along together to feature some of the awesome products available from FSJ!  If you're hopping along you probably came here from Helen's place!  What's so special about this hop ... aside from all of the inspiration you'll get including lots of techniques and design ideas...there's this:

Whaaaaa??  Yeah that's right... leave some love at each stop along the way and you could win a $25 gift certificate to get yourself some cool stuff!  To be eligible for the prize, please leave comments on all participating blogs.  Commenting will close on Friday July 27th at 11:55 pm Pacific.

We're using the Coffee Helps Stamp and Die sets and the Coffee First Die set.  You can find these and another great coffee set, Le Cafe' here (But don't forget, when you're done hopping, to check out all the other awesome stuff you'll find at the FSJ website!)

Here's what I have for you today:

I am in love with this Coffee First die set!  The wrap has a really cool pierced outline that adds some yummy texture.  I cut the cup and wrap pieces from some pretty coordinating papers for this one.  The sentiment is from the Coffee Helps stamp set... so many fun sentiments on that one!  And that wonderful Journey Thread in Whip Cream... it's the perfect width (skinnier than baker's twine, but thicker than actual thread) and so soft... easy to use for all kinds of things.  And there is so much of it on one spool....68 yards!!  Love it.  And check out that wood chip... it's from the Hello Bubble pack of wood chips that includes 4 each of 4 words in word bubbles!  I smooshed this one into some Versamark and heat embossed it in white... just to make it pop a bit!  Love wood embellishments because you can emboss them, color them with paint or markers, just leave them natural... lots of options to make them perfect for your project!

I'm playing along with the Double D Challenge: Tea and Coffee with this one!  You should check it out for sure!

I'll have to admit it was hard for me to put the Coffee First Die Set down... turns out it's pretty in pink too!  Another sentiment from the Coffee Helps set... this time I just stamped it in black and then fussy cut it.  More of the Whip Cream Journey Thread and then I added a few Fashion Silver self adhesive beads from FSJ, some flowers from my stash and a few die cut leaves left over from another project.

And THEN I started stamping with the Coffee Helps stamp set...I created that cool background by stamping some of the coffee rings and coffee beans in Versamark and heat embossing them in white.  Then I added various colors of splatter.  While that was drying, I stamped, colored and die cut the cup.  I colored the wrap so it would look kind of corrugated (I just colored it in and then made swipes of a darker color).  I fussy cut the sentiment again.... gave it a simple kraft circle background that help my cup and sentiment stand out from the busy background... some more of that awesome thread and a few sequins!

You know I think coffee is out of this world...lol!  So, for this background, I used my Distress Oxides and blended some purple and pink inks together.  Then I splattered it with some water and dabbed it dry and splattered a bit of white.  Just a quick easy kind of galaxy background... I didn't want it to be too dark for this one, so I used lighter colors.

I stamped three cups and colored them in coordinating colors, die cut them and popped them up to look like they are in orbit.  Then I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment on vellum so I could place it over the top of my cups without covering up too much of them.  A few more Fashion Silver beads and this one was done!  Fun I think!

Thanks so much for stopping today!  Hope I've given you some Coffee For Thought!   Don't forget to hop along and stop and leave some love at each place for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate.  From here you can visit Robyn's place to see what she has for you!

Don't worry if you get lost along the way just head on over to the Fun Stampers Journey Blog or the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog where you'll find the complete hop list that will help get you back on your way!

Hope you come back to visit me soon!
