Fall/Winter 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day 5

It is already Day 5 of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!  You have until Friday to play along.  Just create something new with a Fall/Winter theme that features coffee, tea, or cocoa and link it up!  There are tons of sponsors and tons of prizes!  If you link up by Wednesday, you will be eligible for some special flash prizes too!  Check out all of the details here!  Here's how I was inspired today:

I was checking out the beauty in the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Facebook Group and was reminded that this gorgeous Coffee or Tea? Die from Stamp Simply exists AND it lives at my house!  So I knew I had to get it out and use it for the hop!

I started with some beautiful Bo Bunny papers and cut my background layer using one of my fave layering sets from Waffle Flower Stamps.

That cup, right??  Next I cut that gorgeous "doily" using the Fancy Circles die set from Our Daily Bread Designs.   I cut the cup out of a previous attempt at a background... it was from the shaving cream background/embossing technique I showed a while ago but I had put too much of the Glitter Snow EP on it for the look I wanted BUT of course I saved it because it was still beautiful and I knew I'd use it.  I thought for a background, but turns out it was perfect to cut this cup from.  I cut the handle from some gold foil cardstock.

And that ribbon!  That was plain old seam binding that I dyed using some coffee... yup!  I was disappointed that it didn't retain the smell... but basically I took the ribbon and some leftover coffee and soaked it in over the course of a few days.  I changed out the coffee each day so it wouldn't get moldy and made sure I crinkled it up quite a bit.  When it was done I squeezed the excess out and layed it out to dry.  I LOVE it!!

I chose this sentiment from a Reverse Confetti set.. Holiday Gnomes believe it or not...lol!  Hoping to use that one during the hop as well!)  I had some leftover "doily" to place along with my sentiment and I cut my "snowflakes" out of that embossed paper I used for the cup using the Bitty Blooms dies from Our Daily Bread Designs!  I thought they made really cute snowflakes!  Then I scattered around a few sequins and gems and done!

One more look before I have to run!  Of course I'm late!  I have my priorities!

I'm also playing along over at Choux Choux Paper Art's Visions of Sugar Plums Challenge (I'll be by to visit with you soon Lori!) and Double Trouble's Embossing challenge... (and oh look Tracey!  Snowflakes for your twist!)

Come back tomorrow!  I'll have some specials for you again!

Stunning card and so glad you shared this with us at Double Trouble and the Coffee Challenge, but please be reminded that for the coffee random draw you need to make a comment on "What's your favorite hot/cold drink for the Holidays?"
