Have a Grande Day! - Miss Ink Stamps

Happy Saturday!!  I'm so excited to be sharing with you a project I created using some new stamps from a new stamp company in town, Miss Ink Stamps!  If you haven't heard of them yet, you can check out their Facebook page here!  Opening is March 16th and I'm so honored that the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Design team had a chance to play with a couple of the sets that will be available and we'll sneaking you some peeks over the next few days!  Here's how I was inspired:

I told you I'm all about rainbows for the month of March!  And as soon as I saw the images from the Java Joe's set this idea started forming in my head!

I started by die cutting the Cafe image out and then die cutting and embossing the larger white panel.  I used some temporary adhesive to adhere the piece with the cafe on it and then die cut a curved piece of cardstock.  I held the curve over the paper and used some distress inks to create thin ink blended lines.. just moving the edge of the curve down as I went... letting one color blend into another and I made sure to ever so lightly let the color go over my image.

Then I colored in the cafe doors using SO many colors of Copic markers to create a rainbow down the door.  For the windows I first made some very light gray streaks and then to add just a little bit of a "reflection" of the rainbow colors, I did some tip to tip transfer of various colors onto the tip of the gray marker and swiped them on.  Then I colored the rest of my pieces in and layered it all together.

Those beautiful coffee bean plant pieces are from another one of the new sets called Brewtiful.  Amy shared a card using that set earlier on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog and you can check it out here if you'd like and you can read a bit about Miss Ink while you're there!  There are so many great sentiments on both sets... can't wait for you to see them!

I'm playing along with the Create A Scene Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge!  I've done just that (and this isn't the first time...lol!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope you enjoyed it and be sure to stay tuned for more sneaks from the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Design Team and Miss Ink Stamps!  You should definitely follow Miss Ink at these places:
