Oh Happy Desert

Hello!  We've had some stuff going on here that has made it hard to find time for crafting, but a friend asked me for a cactus card for a friend's birthday so I found some time to get this done and I have to say I loved it!

Some of these things may be retired, but this one was for fun so ... but if you can find these things, I highly recommend!

Cacti - Hero Arts
Background desert dies and roadrunner - Brass & Bliss Craft Co
Medallions - My Favorite Things
Flowers and Oh Happy Day - Miss Ink Stamps
And of course lots of Deco Foil from Therm O Web

Have a great day!  Thanks for stopping!

Crafty Elves Countydown to Christmas - June 2024 Edition

Merry Christmas!  It's the 25th of the month and time for a new Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas!  Debra and I are sharing the Christmas Cards we made in June!  Be sure to head over to her blog when you're done here!

I made a couple quick cards... because... time... but also, I had a couple really great gel print backgrounds that I wanted to use, but didn't want the to be covered up.

For this one, I just added some gold foil to the gel print created with an awesome Snowflake Stencil from Brass & Bliss Craft Co, die cut it and added a glittery die cut from Lawn Fawn and sequins.

Simple but pretty!

This one I added a panel of vellum to make the Merry die stand out since it's such a thin font.

I love that Folk Snowflake Stencil from Uniko!

Easy peasy!

Thank you so much for visiting with me today!  Don't forget to head on over to Debra's place and come back again soon.

Crafty Elves Countodwn to Christmas - April 2024 Edition

Welcome back!  It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas Cards we made this month!

I had some adorable images from Art Impressions and MFT already colored and cut out from a previous project that just needed fun backgrounds so I decided I'd use them this month.  This pup and the ornaments are from Art Impressions Santa Paws stamp set.

This crafty dude seemed perfect with a fireplace background using the Miss Ink Stamps Letters stamp set.  I colored the floors with Copics and stenciled some wallpaper with the Miss Ink Springtime Lace stencil.  The tree is from a retired Gina K Designs set and I used it because it was the right size to add a Christmas tree to this scene.

The scene is framed with the Photo Frame from AJVD and I stamped a sentiment from a retired MFT stamp set, Deck The Howls.

Next, a background with the Newton's Nook Holiday Foliage stencil.  It's only one layer, but I used a detail brush to add some pink to the berries.  I didn't mask... I just tried to be light with the green where the berries were and then added the pink over it.

This pup is from the MFT Stamps Deck The Howls as well as the sentiment.  The frame is from Funky Fossil.  I decided to insert the inside circle for a less busy background behind that adorable pup.

The big bone is from the Art Impressions set... I just thought it was cute for this little dog to have a huge bone for Christmas.  And the tree was cut using an old Paper Smooches die.  I added ornaments with Nuvo drops and a gold star sequin.

For this one I used the Miss Ink Pawsome stencil for the background.  I masked the stencil to make the paws multi colored rows.  The frame is from Stamps of Life... it's one of my new faves.

I decorated one tree and decided this pup would rather have quantity over quality... so he's got a whole pile of bones for his gift.

The paw ornament is from the AI set and another sentiment from the MFT set.

That's me for today.  My pink and green cardstock on all of these cards is from the latest Your Paper Insider box... and the green glitter is scraps left from a previous box.

Now be sure to head on over to Debra's place to see what she has for you today!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - September 2023 Edition

Welcome back!  It's a new month and we're back with the Christmas cards we made this month!

I actually made three cards using an adorable set from My Favorite Things Dino-Mite Christmas stamp set!  It's retired, but I did find one in stock over at the Frantic Stamper if you find you must have it!

I also used my current favorite sheet of design paper from Vicki Boutin.  I picked up a couple of the sheets at my local scrapbook store, Scraps of Love and if they still have some when I go back I'm gonna get more for sure!  One side is this lovely pink snowflake and the other...

... is this gorgeous stripe.. just yum!  I used a favorite frame from Avery Elle ... also retired... and also available over at Frantic Stamper.  Along with some dies from the shop over at A Jillian Vance Design.

I'm just in love with these dinos and that paper!

That's me for today!  I have a winner from last month's giveaway!

Denise Bryant from right here on the blog is the winner... Denise email me your address so I am sure I have it right!

Thanks to everyone!  Come again soon!

Now be sure to head on over to my fellow Crafty Elves places, Debra and Michael AND Pam Kline Stang is joining us too!

Here's To You - Your Paper Insider

Just a quick, fun card using some of the papers from a previous Your Paper Insider box!  I got this beer mug and fun sentiment set from MFT.

That pretty fibery plaid (Peach Weave Rayon Fiber) is from Box 3 and I love it!

I think I have to make another one of these, but with a feminine touch!  Stay tuned!

Thanks so much for stopping!  Hope you'll come again soon!

Make A Wish - Your Paper Insider

Welcome back!  I've got a fun one for you today!  I used some of the papers from the latest Your Paper Insider quarterly box along with some stamps and dies that I've been wanting to use!

I fell in love with that adorable mouse in the cake from MFT Stamps and decided it would be perfect with that awesome Make A Wish die from lawn Fawn!

I stenciled stars onto that pretty teal cardstock with Distress Oxides in the same colors I used to color the image and then added some Glitz Glitter Gel over the top.  I created a star frame with two star dies and popped it up over the top.  Then I cut the Make A Wish from that yummy white fibery and gittery paper and popped it up over the star.. same thickness of foam.. I just left the foam off the top half of the Make word.

Thanks so much for stopping!  Hope you'll come again soon!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - April 2023 Edition

Welcome back!  It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas cards we made this month!

After you see what I have for you here, be sure to visit Debra and Michael to see what they have for you today!  Misty is taking a break this month!

Here's what I created this month:

IDK about you but when I create, I always have extras left over!  When I print digis, I print the images in a few different sizes because I'm not sure what I'm going to want when it comes time to create my cards.  Both images I used today along with almost everything else on these cards was left over from previous projects like this adorable Tree Cup Gnome from The Cat's Pajamas!

I created that gel print a while ago and cut it for a previous project but didn't use it so I used it here!  It's funny because the pink of that great Avery Elle Wonky Square frame was much redder and the red in the gel print was much pinker while I was creating... but I don't mind... I kind of like the contrast.  The Gel Print was created using the Lumberjack Plaid Stencil from Miss Ink and has some Iridescent Foil over it from Therm O Web.

And of course I have tons of extra snowflakes in my workspace so I chose this Bold Snowflake from AJVD as an accent.

I'm playing along with the BYSHC Spring Into Christmas 2023 Holiday Linky Party!  You have until the 28th to create a Christmas Card and link up for a chance to win prizes from some fabulous sponsors!  And be sure to join them over on Facebook where you'll have lots of chances to win stuff and you'll find tons of Christmas Card inspiration all year long!

For this one, I had printed some fabulous Unique Snowflakes from Angie Blom onto Gel Prints a while ago and then foiled it.  That's when I discovered that foil sticks to the Acrylic Paint as well as the toner from the printed image..lol... so they didn't come out as clear as I'd hoped and had a bit more foil on them, but I knew I'd use them some day and this was the day!  It's really a fab set of snowflakes that I think I'm gonna print up and use next month again!  So stay tuned for that.

I did cut that loopy panel for this one because I just love it!!  It adds such a fun detail to a card.  And idk how it's taken me so long to talk about that adorable Yeti from LTTS Doodles!!  Also an extra digi I printed from a previous project.  I added some treelights to his horns and a couple gifts from an adorable Pawsome Stamps set that I stamped and die cut previously and they were perfect with this digi!

I used a sentiment from MFT stamps along with a banner that I cut previously... when I'm cutting extras, banners of all sorts are a great go to to fill up the space on my large die cutting machine!

That's me for today!  I've been kind of lax with the prizes during tax season but I am going to start that up again!  If you were a winner and I didn't send you a prize, please do let me know!!  And I apologize.  Although I think I did get past prizes sent out, I know there is always a chance something gets by me.

This month I'm giving away a packet of slightly used or new stamps and/or dies as I'm trying to destash a bit.  Some will have packaging and some not.  If you are interested in being in the drawing, follow me and comment here or on one of my two posts on Instagram for these two cards and let me know!  If you would rather not be in the drawing, feel free to still leave me some love and just let me know not to include you.  Comment in all three places for three chances to win.  I'm not sure what days I'll be posting on Instagram, but it will be sometime in the next week or two.

Thanks so much for stopping and don't forget to visit my fellow Crafty Elves.

I've included links below to the products I used for these two cards.  Some are affiliate links and some are not, but I like to include links to everything in case you're feeling shoppy!

Happy Hopping and Shopping!
