Instagram Hop With Brutus Monroe, Unity Stamps and Therm O Web!

Hello!  I've got some fun for you today and an opportunity to win one of 6 prizes!!  We're having a Triple Brand Instagram Hop!  There is a new release of fabulous Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers and we've got beautiful designs from Brutus Monroe and Unity Stamp Co and they are hopping with the Therm O Web team to show them off!

For this one, I used those fabulous sentiments from Unity Stamp Co!  I built my sentiment using three separate adhesive transfer from one of the new Unity Stamps packs.  I applied the adhesive and foil using my Gemini with just pressure and no heat.  I was on the fence about whether I preferred using heat or pressure for these and I've decided that the pressure method with my Gemini works best for me.

I started with the fabulous Toner Card Front from Brutus Monroe and foiled it in Rainbow Deco Foil.  I added some clouds from Lawn Fawn and applied the sentiment to one of the clouds.  Then I cut the butterfly from the Brutus Monroe Magical Monarchs set from some toner paper foiled with Pink Foil!

This is the card that I'll be sharing for the hop so look for the hop graphic and this card on Instagram.

For this one, I used a foiled gel print I've been hanging onto for a while because I LOVE how it came out and was looking for just the right use.  Well, these floral Adhesive Transfers from Unity were perfect!!  I added one on each corner and applied Rose Gold Deco Foil to them.  I foiled a piece of toner paper in the Rose Gold to use as a base behind the gel print and instead of wasting a whole sheet that would be hidden behind my front panel, I die cut two butterflies from the center and used one here.

I die cut a banner and applied another sentiment to the banner... first in Lilac and then offset some Gold Sequins foil.  I did use two adhesive transfers for this one sentiment but I love the shadow of another color ... very subtle here.. but will definitely try this again!

Now!  Be sure to head on over to Instagram to hop!  You'll find directions on my post regarding what you need to do in order to have a chance to win one of 6 prizes!!  Be there or be square!  You've got to be in it to win it! ...lol... ok ... enough cliches.. get on over there!  Look for the post with the Hop Graphic to get started.

Thanks so much for stopping!  Please do come again soon!

Caffeine Fueled Paper Play-The Best Version of You

I'm up on the blog over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers today with some MORE Magical Monarch!

You'll find details and links for this one over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog!

But before you head over there, I have another one for you and a video!

I created a similar background with this one, but you can see more of the detail here AND this time I foiled the Toner Card Front first with the new Magical Shattered Glass foil!  It is "clear" so whatever you foil with it will show through but with lots of iridescent shine and sparkle!  Here the black toner butterflies really show off all of the color variations of that foil!

I added over the center butterfly a die cut of the same butterfly shape cut from a gel print I added pink flock to!  It's in the Electro-Pop collection just like the inks I used so it is a great match!

I just love how this one turned out too!  And here's a video showing how I created these backgrounds:

Hope you enjoyed it! Come again soon!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas- February 2021 Edition!

Happy February Holidays!  We're back again with some more Christmas Card inspiration!  Debra and Michael and I are sharing the Christmas cards we've made this month.  Without any further ado

I had lots of fun with these cuties!  I chose a couple stamp sets that I bought over at Topflight Stamps... one a Christmas doggy set and the little dog isn't from that set, but a similar one and it worked just as well!

Here's a closer look:

OMG... what's even better than a pup stamp??  A pup stamp with an owl.  For this background, I die cut some snowflakes from Paper Smooches from cardstock adhered to double sided adhesive sheets from Elizabeth Crafts.  I peeled off the backing and placed the snowflakes onto some white cardstock sized a bit larger than my frame in a random pattern and then blended some Distress Oxides in blues over them.

I did a slight ink lift using a paintbrush and water and a paper towel so the snowflakes would show up better.  Basically you add water to the area you want to lift the ink from and while it's wet soak up the extra along with a bit of ink using a paper towel.  Then I layered all of my background pieces and popped that cool Deckled frame from Rubbernecker over it.  I popped up my image and that cute sentiment (that one is from a Christmas pup set from MFT that is retired.)  A few sequins and done!

For this one I used a cool background stamp designed by Brutus Monroe and available in the Unity Stamp Shop.  I heat embossed it in white over blue cardstock.

Easy peasy!  Then I added another one of those cute sentiments from the old MFT set (because I thought it was perfect since this cutie pie is decked out in ornaments!

I used another Brutus Monroe background stamp with this one-also available over at Unity Stamps.  There are a couple sentiments on the Paper Artsy sets and decided there was the perfect space for this one... I love that wonky font with these dogs... they're perfect!  That frame is from Paper Smooches and not available but I had to use it because it's one of my faves!

I used two of my favorite Copic color combos one all of these... the pink is R81, R83, and R85 and the blues are BG000, BG10, BG13.

I played with some alcohol inks for this one!  I've been playing alot with EVO Synthetic paper and it's perfect for all of my alcohol ink projects.  For this one.. similar to my first... I cut the snowflakes from EVO paper backed with double sided adhesive and adhered them to a panel of EVO paper.  Then I used a combo of Ranger Alcohol Inks and Copic refills along with blending solution.  Then I took a cue from a post over on IG at ETCPaper's account and added a little glitter while it was wet.

After the ink dried a bit, I used a paintbrush filled with alcohol and used it to push the ink on the snowflakes and some of the glitter away a bit... again, so that the snowflakes would stand out more and not get lost in all of the ink and glitter.  Another technique I'll be playing some more with!

This little cutie was the one that was from the other Paper Arty set that isn't Christmas themed, but I thought she deserved to be on a Christmas card... especially with her present she got!  I used another sentiment from the MFT set because I thought it was perfect for this little girl.  That frame is from Whimsy and I love it too!

That's me for today!  No don't for get to head on over to Debra and Michael's places and see what they have for you today!  But before you go..... let's pick a winner!

Kim!  Please send me your snail mail to bzscrapper66 at gmail dot com!

We're doing it again, so leave me some love and next month I might be sending you some Happy Mail!

Thanks so much everyone for visiting and hope you enjoyed your stop!  Come again soon!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 7 1/2

Welcome to Day 7 1/2 of the Spring & Summer 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  You have today and tomorrow left to link up for chances to win (and of course have a lot of fun!).  Click on the main hop blog post here to find out all of the details and then play along!  This afternoon I'm using some products from Sponsors Stamps of Life, Your Next Stamp and Our Daily Bread!  Here's what I've got!

I don't know if you are familiar with Stamps of Life... I wasn't until a little bit before the hop... but you should definitely check them out!  My first purchase included this awesome Coffee Statement set that comes with the Coffee word die as well as the coordinating outline die and a stamp set of very funny sentiments that go along with it!

I started off with some of the papers from Crazy for Coffee paper from Your Next Stamp.  And I had the pretty oval diecut from Our Daily Bread Designs leftover from another project.  I decided I needed a different color so I had this one for this card which was perfect!  It's from the Layered Lacy Ovals die set (beautiful set!)

This Coffee die is large enough to be the star of the show along with the fantastic sentiments that come with it!  I embossed this sentiment in some Penny embossing powder from Brutus Monroe and it was just what I needed!

And I finished it off with that cute cup (not sure where I picked that up), flowers and these pretty glittery embellishments that I got from Your Next Stamp, but I'm not sure if they still carry this color.

I'm entering this one into the Double Trouble challenge to use two or more patterned papers and because I'm playing along with the Coffee Lovers Hop I get two chances to win at Double Trouble!  It runs through the end of the Coffee Hop!

Thanks for stopping!  I'm still moving along commenting in the evenings after work... so I'll see you soon if I haven't seen you yet!

Come back tomorrow!
