It's the first of the month and over at Paper Sweeties we're planning our lives!  I've got a busy crafty and vacation life this month.. yay!!  I used the Hello Spring, Pretty Posies, and Bee Happy sets to decorate my printable planner this month!

Along with some fun washi and pretty papers cut with the scallop border from the Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts makes for a summery June planner.

I love the sweet insect critters in the Bee Happy set... so cute and quick to color up!  And of course you know those little sweet flowers from Hello Spring along with the Pretty Posies flowers are among my faves!

I've used quite a few of the planner sets from Paper Sweeties to fill my days!  One of my most used is Get Your Craft On.  I also love the Everyday Basics set to fill in my weekdays and Business Basics are great even when I'm not talking Business!  I also love to use the balloons from the Celebrate set to mark any kind of fun celebration!

So cute, aren't they?

Paper Sweeties March 2019 Release Party!

It's time for the Release Party over at Paper Sweeties!  The new Get Well Stamp and Sweet Cuts are now available in the shop!

Today I'm sharing with you a card using the new sets and I created a background using a couple previously released sets!  I used the leaves from the Bee Happy Stamp Set and my favorite flower from the Hello Spring Stamp Set.  I embossed them onto some watercolor paper.  Then I blended some distress oxides over the top.  I used the "lift" technique to then remove the color inside the stamped images... you just add a little water with a paint brush only to the area you want to remove or "lift" the color from and then blot it with a paper towel.  You can take as much or as little color away as you want.  Then when I removed some of the distress ink from inside my images, I filled them back in with the colors I wanted using my Zig markers along with a little bit of water.  Then when it was all done, I splattered some drops of water all over and blotted it with a paper towel and splattered a little gold Color Shine over the top.

Then I cut the Get Well die cuts once out of this pretty shimmery paper and two more times from white cardstock and stacked them together.  Then I embossed one of the sentiments from the Get Well stamp set onto black paper and added it.

And there you have it!  I'm playing along over at Double Trouble Challenges where the challenge this time around is Wearin O' The Green!  Create something with green as the main color and I met the twist with my gold splatters!  And Double Trouble is partnering with Heart2Heart Challenges and I'm linking up over there as well!

So! You can head over to the Paper Sweeties shop and order up your new sets right now!  And while you're waiting for that to come to your mailbox, you can check out these places and see what they've created for you today:

Paper Sweeties March 2019 New Release Sneak Peeks!

Welcome to the March 2019 New Release Sneak Peeks over at Paper Sweeties!  Today we're sharing some makes with the new Get Well Stamp Set and Sweet Cuts along with some other favorites from the Paper Sweeties Shop!

I created this loose plaid background using my Zig watercolor markers.  I first saw this over at Lori Hairston's Choux Choux Paper Art Blog and it's so much fun to make them!  I used watercolor paper, and wet my markers with water for the wider lines and used the side of the markers and used the tip and less water for the thin lines.  I didn't try to make them perfectly straight.  I love these because you can use whatever colors you want!  After I was done, I splattered some small water drops onto the background with a paintbrush and then soaked them up with a paper towel to soften it a bit.

Then I layered on all of the goodies.. that pretty Scallop Oval Frame, the sweet little flowers and leaves from the Hello Spring Stamp Set, and then that awesome Get Well sweet cut that I cut three times so I could stack them for a little dimension.  I stamped the sentiment from the Get Well Stamp Set on black cardstock with Versamark; heat embossed it in white, and fussy cut it out.  I like to do this when I don't want my sentiment to take up too much real estate on my card.

Lastly I added some sequins to the center of the flowers from the Latte Coffee sequins and scattered a few around on the card.

I'm playing along over at Cupcake Inspirations Plaid challenge!  You have a little time left to play along if you'd like!  I knew I had to... I mean... it's plaid!  My favorite color!

Thanks for stopping and be sure you check out what everyone else has made for you today!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series - March 2019

Welcome to the March 2019 Plan Your Life Series over at Paper Sweeties!  I've made a couple fun layouts in my planner for my very busy March!  I'm gonna need a lot of luck to get it all done...lol!  Plus it's tax season!!  So I've got quite a few four leaf clovers from last month's All Occasions stamp set!

I've used lots of green in this layout... the sweet flowers from the Hello Spring stamps and dies were perfect with the clovers and that rainbow from Somewhere Over The Rainbow... it's just pretty isn't it?  And I just happened to have that sun from Island Time laying on my table waiting to be used... it was just right!

My printable pages come without the weekday names printed on them.. love the Everyday Basics set ... I can add my weekdays when I want!

I had fun mixing and matching papers for this one... I wanted there to be a lot of green, but not just green and I love the way it turned out!

And notice the pretty scallops in plaid and stripes??  I'm playing along over at Mod Squad Challenges and this week the challenge is Stripes!  You should definitely check it out!

Before you do that though... hop on over to these places and see what all of the girls are up to:

Paper Sweeties February 2019 Release Rewind!

Welcome to the Release Rewind!  Today I've used the duck, umbrella and heart from the new All Occasion Stamps and Sweet Cuts on this cute card!

I started by using the Circle Scallop Frame to cut a window in my top panel.  Then I used a stencil to add the clouds where the window would be and die cut the waves using the wave die in the Let's Go To the Beach Sweet Cuts set.  I cut it from a previously made shaving cream background.

I placed the waves so they would show just right in the window and then added the top layer to the bottom with some foam pieces.

I stamped and die cut two of the ducks and one umbrella from the new All Occasions set.  I colored the ducks with my Copics and paper pieced a pretty rainbow striped umbrella.

I used the frame from the Circle Scallop Frame cut for the window at the top to frame my sentiment.   The sentiment from the Home Is Where Your Story Begins was just right for this card too!  I used some more of those sweet flowers from Hello Spring and die cut a heart using a die from All Occasions from the same paper as the umbrella.  All I needed to finish it up were a few Robin Egg Sequins.

That's it for me!  Hope you enjoyed your visit!

I'm playing along over at Double Trouble's Flower Challenge and it's all about Flowers at Outlawz Twisted Thursday too!
