Paper Sweeties Challenge - November 2017 Anything Goes!

Welcome to the November Paper Sweeties Anything Goes Challenge and this adorable inspiration photo!  Here's how I was inspired...

Love all of the wood grain in the inspiration photo so I decided to use one of my many wood grain papers as my background.  I was also inspired by the beautiful autumn colors and the pumpkin shaped sign.

I'm playing along with the Sunday Sip And Share Sketch for October from Kerry over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog... not sure if I'll be able to link up in time, but it was fun to use the sketch from this past Sunday!  I'm also playing along with the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Anything Goes Challenge with a twist of Anything Goes!

There are so many cool coffee sets in the Paper Sweeties shop!  I used the But First, Coffee set for the coffee pot and cup.  The pumpkin is from the Thankful stamps and sweet cuts sets.  It was fun to use this frame I'd cut previously using the Square Scalloped Frames to ground it all.  And used my favorite sweet little flowers from Hello Spring and those cute little hearts from Somewhere over the Rainbow.

My sentiment is from the Sweeties Wagon stamp set and it was just the right size!

Thanks for stopping and be sure to check out what everyone has created for you today!  We hope you play along with us this month!  You can link up on the Blog or join at the Paper Sweeties Facebook Group here-just add your photo to the November album!

Hello Lovely-Createful Hearts Guest Designer!

So happy you are visiting me today!  I'm excited because I won a challenge over at Createful Hearts earlier this month and was asked to be a guest designer for the challenge that starts today!  I also won four digis and this adorable Northern Saw-Whet Owl is one of them!  It's so cute!

Isn't this little guy adorable!?  I colored him with my Copics.  These little owls come in all kinds of colors... I chose to color mine in browns and grays.

That pretty white crinkly seam binding is from D.L. Art and it's called Whipped Cream.  Diana has such pretty ribbons in all kinds of colors on her site... although for this one I chose white.

I had this idea as soon as I saw this owl... I wanted most of the card to be in whites.  A little kraft on the background and the sentiment.  Love the way it looks...

I embossed the white background using a Tim Holtz embossing folder.  My leaves are quite a mix of brands... the furthest back is a Tim Holtz diecut, the big loopy leaves are from Paper Smooches and the lacy Maple Leaf is from Frantic Stampers.

The dies for the sentiment are from Peachy Cheap... love the font!

And on the bottom, more leaves, that beautiful ribbon and the pretty white heart with sequins.  The clear sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh and I LOVE them!

So there it is... my Clean & Simple/Not So Simple card...lol!  Thanks for stopping and do be sure to check out the Createful Hearts digi shop!   And link up to this Anything Goes Challenge!  You don't have to use one of Mary's Digis if you don't have one... and you might win some!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #236

Welcome to this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  I have another pocket layout today!  This was a fun sketch... love the stripey background and I used gears instead of hearts and an arrow instead of a bow... well... you know why!

Can't wait to see what you create!

Naughty or Nice? With JLO

Lots of fun starting today with the Cat Lovers Blog Hop over at Her Peaceful Garden Blog (Be sure to link up at the main page... I've included a link for you!  JessicaLynnOriginal.com is a sponsor for the hop and she created this adorable Merry Christmas Cat digi just for the occasion!  It is available in the shop and you can find it here!

I colored this cute little kitty with my Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils and a waterbrush. I decided to make him an orange tabby cat.

I'm also playing along with the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge which is always anything goes and this week's twist is twine... this pic was perfect because there is twine around the scratching post AND I added some twine at the bottom of the card!

And I thought this sentiment was perfect for the pic... you just never know with cats...lol!

Thanks for stopping by and come back soon!

Cutting Cafe Inspiration-Anything Goes!

Welcome to some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  Regina has given us free reign this time around to use whatever files we want!  I have company this week visiting so I thought it would be a perfect time to use a few leftovers from past projects that I've loved to make a couple quick cards!  So I started with the Hey Foxy Shaped Card set.  I had printed out a few extra images so I thought I'd use this one to create a Fall-ish birthday card.

All of the images and sentiments come on one JPG image.  I pulled them into my photo editing program and cropped and then saved each image separately so that I could then insert them into a word document together or separately any way I wanted to.  After I printed it out, I cut it with a stitched die and colored it in.

I also had these leaves leftover from a prior project.  I used a custom stamp Regina made me with some leaves from the Welcome Fall Printable Stamp Set and stamped them onto a paper I had ink distressed.  I had a small sheet of them left over so I cut them out and used them along with my cute little fox!

Next, I had a whole bunch of these flowers left over from another project.  I used the Layered Flowers Template and Cutting File and cut a whole bunch of these out knowing I'd use them... so here they are!

Love the sentiments on the Hello Gorgeous stamp set available at the Cutting Cafe Shop... I embossed this one in gold on a vellum banner.

I was so happy I had these flowers... and came across some hearts cut out of the same paper from the Mailbox Template and Cutting File... awesome to use those up too!

So thanks for stopping by my place today to check out what I made using some of my leftovers!  Be sure to head over to the Cutting Cafe Blog!  Leave a comment there for a chance to win some files and then hop around and check out what everyone has made for today!

See you again soon!

Smooches!

Popping in with a quick post this morning!  I've been hustling around getting ready for company to come both at work and home, but I didn't want to miss playing along with the Paper Smooches Challenge for October which is to use pink!  I made this card for a friend who has just had so much going on ... good and not so good... and while she handles it like a Rockstar, I'm sure she could use a little smile...

I added the "stitches" to my floral layer using a background die.  The piece was smaller than the die, but it did a nice job of adding the stitching for me.

I just love the beautiful Blossoming Buds stamp set.  I used two of the floral stamps here.  Under the band I did overlap them because I needed the space and I knew I'd cover it with a strip of something or other!

I colored the floral images using my Zig Clean Color Markers and a little bit of water.  I stamped with Ranger Archival Ink because I knew I'd be using watercolors, but I didn't use watercolor paper .. if you use just a tiny bit of water with these then some good cardstocks are fine.  I used the Copic friendly paper I have.

I also love this Smooches die!  It comes with the cute lips.  I cut the lips out of pink glitter paper but it wasn't quite the tone I wanted to I colored it a little with my Copics and it was perfect!  All I needed was a few sequins and I'm good!

I'm also playing along with the Paper Smooches Guest Designer Challenge which ends in about 16 hours or so as I type this so if you want to play along... check it out and get making!

Thanks for stopping and see you on the interweb!  Although I do have company over the next week and a half I have some posts that will go live during that time so don't be a stranger!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #234

Welcome to this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  I'm sharing a page from my mini album... hope you're not getting bored with them!

Used some retired CTMH papers and various dies.  What will you create using this sketch?
