Miss Ink Stamps - Heavenly Day!

Welcome!!  Hope you put on your sunglasses before you popped over here!  I've got some color for you today!

I had some fun with Evo Paper, Alcohol Inks and Texture paste again and with that gorgeous Stained Glass Floral stencil...sure does make me happy!

I added a little bit of holographic glitter before the alcohol ink was dry again...and some of the inks are Pearls so I'm loving the shine on that background.  And it was fun to color that banner in a rainbow pattern to match the background... as well as the flowers!

And along with these beautiful images from Little Angel and Springtime Banners... This would be heaven to me.

Thanks so much for stopping!  I hope you enjoyed your visit and that  you'll come back again soon!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas- February 2021 Edition!

Happy February Holidays!  We're back again with some more Christmas Card inspiration!  Debra and Michael and I are sharing the Christmas cards we've made this month.  Without any further ado

I had lots of fun with these cuties!  I chose a couple stamp sets that I bought over at Topflight Stamps... one a Christmas doggy set and the little dog isn't from that set, but a similar one and it worked just as well!

Here's a closer look:

OMG... what's even better than a pup stamp??  A pup stamp with an owl.  For this background, I die cut some snowflakes from Paper Smooches from cardstock adhered to double sided adhesive sheets from Elizabeth Crafts.  I peeled off the backing and placed the snowflakes onto some white cardstock sized a bit larger than my frame in a random pattern and then blended some Distress Oxides in blues over them.

I did a slight ink lift using a paintbrush and water and a paper towel so the snowflakes would show up better.  Basically you add water to the area you want to lift the ink from and while it's wet soak up the extra along with a bit of ink using a paper towel.  Then I layered all of my background pieces and popped that cool Deckled frame from Rubbernecker over it.  I popped up my image and that cute sentiment (that one is from a Christmas pup set from MFT that is retired.)  A few sequins and done!

For this one I used a cool background stamp designed by Brutus Monroe and available in the Unity Stamp Shop.  I heat embossed it in white over blue cardstock.

Easy peasy!  Then I added another one of those cute sentiments from the old MFT set (because I thought it was perfect since this cutie pie is decked out in ornaments!

I used another Brutus Monroe background stamp with this one-also available over at Unity Stamps.  There are a couple sentiments on the Paper Artsy sets and decided there was the perfect space for this one... I love that wonky font with these dogs... they're perfect!  That frame is from Paper Smooches and not available but I had to use it because it's one of my faves!

I used two of my favorite Copic color combos one all of these... the pink is R81, R83, and R85 and the blues are BG000, BG10, BG13.

I played with some alcohol inks for this one!  I've been playing alot with EVO Synthetic paper and it's perfect for all of my alcohol ink projects.  For this one.. similar to my first... I cut the snowflakes from EVO paper backed with double sided adhesive and adhered them to a panel of EVO paper.  Then I used a combo of Ranger Alcohol Inks and Copic refills along with blending solution.  Then I took a cue from a post over on IG at ETCPaper's account and added a little glitter while it was wet.

After the ink dried a bit, I used a paintbrush filled with alcohol and used it to push the ink on the snowflakes and some of the glitter away a bit... again, so that the snowflakes would stand out more and not get lost in all of the ink and glitter.  Another technique I'll be playing some more with!

This little cutie was the one that was from the other Paper Arty set that isn't Christmas themed, but I thought she deserved to be on a Christmas card... especially with her present she got!  I used another sentiment from the MFT set because I thought it was perfect for this little girl.  That frame is from Whimsy and I love it too!

That's me for today!  No don't for get to head on over to Debra and Michael's places and see what they have for you today!  But before you go..... let's pick a winner!

Rubbernecker Stamps Springtime-Fun Release! - Day 2

I've got some more release fun for you today!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using the new Precious Poppies stamp set!

Here's how I was inspired:

I started by stamping the flowers onto a panel of cardstock and heat embossing in gold.  I stamped a flower, embossed it, and then masked the edge and stamped another one and did this until I had the look I wanted.  I love that all of the images are separate so I can build the bouquet the way I want it!

When I was done stamping, I blended on some orange and yellow Distress Oxide down the center and overlapped the flowers and leaves just a bit.  Then I blended on some Color Fuse Ink in Crimson onto the Poppies.  I added some darker areas using watercolor pencils as well as the flower buds and leaves.

I splattered on some water droplets and then some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine.  Then I cut the Wishes word die three times from black cardstock and stacked them and added them to the front of the card.  The Get Well Soon from Kittie Says Phrases #1 was embossed onto black in gold and then cut the sentiment down, layered it onto red and then popped it up and placed it above the Wishes.  A few sequins and done!

That's me for today!  You have until Sunday to hop along over on Instagram for your chance to win one of five $20 gift codes to the shop!  You can start hopping here!

Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon!

We're All Mad Here!

I mean... we are right???  At this point I'd say it's a pretty safe statement...lol!

Had some fun with this one!  I started with a panel of EVO Synthetic paper and applied clear texture paste through the Rabbit Hole Stencil.  While that dried, I stamped, cut and colored my image from Tea Party and heat embossed the sentiment from Madness in purple and cut it out.

Once the texture paste was dry, I dropped some alcohol inks in green (including a beautiful Pearl variety) over the stenciled paste and used Blending Solution and a hand blower to move it around.  I LOVE how this turned out and will be playing with this some more for sure!

While the background dried I finished up with the rest of the elements and then popped them up over the swirly background.  I added another sentiment from the Madness stamp set and a few sequins and done!

Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon!

Rubbernecker Stamps Spring Release and Instagram Hop!

So excited because there is an adorable new release over at Rubbernecker Stamps and today we're hopping over on Instagram and showing them off starting at 9am EST!

I'm sharing a card today I made using the new Chicks and Eggs stamp and dies and here's how I was inspired:

I just love these fun chicks!  They're perfect for Easter cards and along with the rest of the spring sets perfect for lots more!

I couldn't help but fill up all of the windows in this cool frame die with all of the adorable chicks!  Along with the flower spray and daisies from the Lambs and Flowers set.  And it's so cool that all of the windows cut out and have stitching so they can be used like I did here and inserted back into a window with a sentiment or on save them to use on other cards!

Be sure to hop on over to Instagram here and start hopping!  Rubbernecker is giving away 5 $20 gift codes to the shop!  5!!!  Head on over to IG for all of the details!
