Crafty Elves Countodwn to Christmas - April 2024 Edition

Welcome back!  It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas Cards we made this month!

I had some adorable images from Art Impressions and MFT already colored and cut out from a previous project that just needed fun backgrounds so I decided I'd use them this month.  This pup and the ornaments are from Art Impressions Santa Paws stamp set.

This crafty dude seemed perfect with a fireplace background using the Miss Ink Stamps Letters stamp set.  I colored the floors with Copics and stenciled some wallpaper with the Miss Ink Springtime Lace stencil.  The tree is from a retired Gina K Designs set and I used it because it was the right size to add a Christmas tree to this scene.

The scene is framed with the Photo Frame from AJVD and I stamped a sentiment from a retired MFT stamp set, Deck The Howls.

Next, a background with the Newton's Nook Holiday Foliage stencil.  It's only one layer, but I used a detail brush to add some pink to the berries.  I didn't mask... I just tried to be light with the green where the berries were and then added the pink over it.

This pup is from the MFT Stamps Deck The Howls as well as the sentiment.  The frame is from Funky Fossil.  I decided to insert the inside circle for a less busy background behind that adorable pup.

The big bone is from the Art Impressions set... I just thought it was cute for this little dog to have a huge bone for Christmas.  And the tree was cut using an old Paper Smooches die.  I added ornaments with Nuvo drops and a gold star sequin.

For this one I used the Miss Ink Pawsome stencil for the background.  I masked the stencil to make the paws multi colored rows.  The frame is from Stamps of Life... it's one of my new faves.

I decorated one tree and decided this pup would rather have quantity over quality... so he's got a whole pile of bones for his gift.

The paw ornament is from the AI set and another sentiment from the MFT set.

That's me for today.  My pink and green cardstock on all of these cards is from the latest Your Paper Insider box... and the green glitter is scraps left from a previous box.

Now be sure to head on over to Debra's place to see what she has for you today!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - March 2023 Edition

It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas Cards we made in March!  Still busy with tax season so I've got one card for you today... but don't worry!  It's a cutie!

And make sure when you leave here you check out what Debra, Michael and Misty have for you today!

I picked up this fun Merry & Bright sentiment from Erin Lee Creative on sale knowing I'd be using it for my Crafty Elves post!  It's perfect for a quick card because it takes up so much space.

I cut it from glitter paper and popped it up on a gel print background I created with acrylic paint and the Snowflakes stencil from Rubbernecker Stamps.

All it needed was that cutie pie pup from an Art Impressions set called Santa Paws.  I had stamped and cut it out a while ago for a previous Crafty Elves post so I just had to color it up and pop it onto the card.  A few sequins and done!

Thank you so much for stopping and visiting!  Come again soon and don't forget to checkout what everyone else has created for you!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - June 2022 Edition

My first card today is using one of the adorable pups from the Art Impressions Santa Paws stamp set.  I was sitting at my workspace and there he was leftover from another month... all colored up and ready to take his place on a card!

I decided this gel print I made using the Frosty Flakes stencil from Miss Ink Stamps and acrylic paint and added a sentiment from an MFT set and the Happy Holidays die cut from MFT (both retired) along with a little snow drift in my stash.

My next three cards are using images and sentiments from the Jaded Blossom Hipster Christmas stamp set.

I used another gel print made with watercolors and the Swirls Stencil from Rubbernecker stamps the Medium Stitched Snowflake from A Jillian Vance Design behind him.

And for the last two, I used two more background with the Swirls Stencil and layered a cool Plaid Die Cut over the top that I cut from Toner Paper that I Deco Foiled.

And for this one I used the Bold Snowflake die from AJVD and the Stitched Flag Dies from Kat Scrappiness.

For this one I used the Medium Snowflake again.

And that's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed it!  And now be sure to head on over to Michael and Debra's blogs and see what they have for you this month!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - September 2021 Edition

Welcome back to Crafty Elves for September 2021!  Debra, Michael and I are sharing the Christmas cards we made this month.  And be sure to hang around 'til the end to see if you won some Happy Mail from last month!

Here's how I was inspired:

Awwwwww.... right???  I fell in love with this stamp from Colorado Craft Company called Puppy's Quilt the minute I saw it and it doesn't have to be a Christmas image, but using the right colors and sentiment it can be!  I found the perfect sentiment on an old Lil' Inker stamp set.  The frame is from AJVD and you can find that here if you like it (and psst...there's a sale going on over there for the next few days!)

For my next three cards I used a stamp set from Art Impressions that I love!  It's called Santa Paws and I've used it for my Crafty Elves post before on some mini cards.  This time I used them for these full sized cards:

I got this awesome Fa La La die from MFT Stamps from a local craft store a while ago and decided it made the perfect background shaker for these crooning canines!  It was a quick and simple design.  The background die is retired, but you might be able to find one somewhere if you love it!

Next up is this little guy!

I had a lot of fun adding him to the Joy shaker I made using the Joy Shaker die from Pretty Pink Posh!  I used the Sketch for this month's Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers challenge!  You have 'til the end of the month to play along and you can find the details in the Facebook Group here!  Sketch is below!

I used the sketch for a second card too!  It's a great sketch for using up some design paper scraps.. you know, like the bit of a 6x6 paper after you cut a base panel out of it!

I used two of the pups for this one and they make the perfect pair... one chihuahua is a grump but the golden makes up for it... seems about right!

Here's the sketch:

Before you go to check out what Michael and Debra have for you, let's see who won some Happy Mail from last month's post:

Crafty Elves' Countdown to the Holidays - May 2020 Edition

Welcome to the May Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas!  We are four crafty friends who have committed to making a Christmas card a week for the year so that when Christmas comes all of our cards are made and all we have to do is mail them out!  We share them each month on the 25th of the month and that's today!

And this month we have a special guest crafty friend joining us!

Our lineup today is:

Lisa (You Are Here)

and our special guest:

Without further ado... here is how I was inspired:

I have been coloring these pups from Art Impressions all month and then put the cards together all at once.   The stamp set is Santa Paws and you can find it here!

I'm playing along over at the Art Impressions All Layered Up Challenge!  I LOVE layers... I love to create little mini scenes using various stamps and diecuts... and usually I throw a frame in there too...and lots of different thicknesses of foam tape.  This challenge was made for me!

I started with the awesome Trinity Slimline Frame and Fold die set to create this cute mini card and used the photo frame cut for my mini scenes!

Honestly I don't know which of these pups is my favorite....

I was trying to decide what design papers to use and then I landed on these cute papers from Doodlebug... an old pad from prior years...and it was perfect because I'm playing along over at Double Trouble's Brown Bag-It Day Challenge which is all about the Kraft!  I cut the squares to fit perfectly by using the photo frame die again and saved the frames for a future project because they're kinda cute!... ok... VERY cute!

To create my scenes, I used the Slimline Scenic Border Die Set for the snow and cut it down to 2 1/2" lengths to fit in the frame; the little house in the background is from Trinity's Tall Shaker Dome Die Set; and the trees are from Paper Smooches Holiday Sweets Dies.  I just  used some of the strips from the Doodlebug papers as a pseudo sentiment to save time and I love them!

And of course there is some coffee included!!  We're in the middle of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop don't ya know!  Click on the link to check it out if it's new to you and hope you play along!  Tons of sponsors and chances to win for linking up new projects... get all the details in the main hop post.

For this one I did at an additional sentiment because I thought the one from The Rabbit Hole Designs Caffeinated Reindeer stamp set was perfect.  And that cute little cup is from the new Cozy Cup Die Set... I love that she included this in there!!  I am going to be using it a lot!  And I made it a Christmas mug by positioning it over a little Santa in the Doodlebug paper.

That's me for today!  Be sure to check out everyone's projects... links are at the beginning of the post!  And now for my happy mail winner from last month's post:

Theresa!  Whoop!  Send me your address puhlease!

And to Vanessa from last month... I have not yet mailed yours... I just got some stamps in from the post office as I haven't been physically going there... so I'm hoping to send out both on Tuesday!

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me some love!  I'm playing again this month and I'll choose someone from any comments left to send some happy mail to!  Come again soon!!
