Cutting Cafe Inspiration-Anything Goes!

Welcome to some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  Regina has given us free reign this time around to use whatever files we want!  I have company this week visiting so I thought it would be a perfect time to use a few leftovers from past projects that I've loved to make a couple quick cards!  So I started with the Hey Foxy Shaped Card set.  I had printed out a few extra images so I thought I'd use this one to create a Fall-ish birthday card.

All of the images and sentiments come on one JPG image.  I pulled them into my photo editing program and cropped and then saved each image separately so that I could then insert them into a word document together or separately any way I wanted to.  After I printed it out, I cut it with a stitched die and colored it in.

I also had these leaves leftover from a prior project.  I used a custom stamp Regina made me with some leaves from the Welcome Fall Printable Stamp Set and stamped them onto a paper I had ink distressed.  I had a small sheet of them left over so I cut them out and used them along with my cute little fox!

Next, I had a whole bunch of these flowers left over from another project.  I used the Layered Flowers Template and Cutting File and cut a whole bunch of these out knowing I'd use them... so here they are!

Love the sentiments on the Hello Gorgeous stamp set available at the Cutting Cafe Shop... I embossed this one in gold on a vellum banner.

I was so happy I had these flowers... and came across some hearts cut out of the same paper from the Mailbox Template and Cutting File... awesome to use those up too!

So thanks for stopping by my place today to check out what I made using some of my leftovers!  Be sure to head over to the Cutting Cafe Blog!  Leave a comment there for a chance to win some files and then hop around and check out what everyone has made for today!

See you again soon!

Smooches!

Popping in with a quick post this morning!  I've been hustling around getting ready for company to come both at work and home, but I didn't want to miss playing along with the Paper Smooches Challenge for October which is to use pink!  I made this card for a friend who has just had so much going on ... good and not so good... and while she handles it like a Rockstar, I'm sure she could use a little smile...

I added the "stitches" to my floral layer using a background die.  The piece was smaller than the die, but it did a nice job of adding the stitching for me.

I just love the beautiful Blossoming Buds stamp set.  I used two of the floral stamps here.  Under the band I did overlap them because I needed the space and I knew I'd cover it with a strip of something or other!

I colored the floral images using my Zig Clean Color Markers and a little bit of water.  I stamped with Ranger Archival Ink because I knew I'd be using watercolors, but I didn't use watercolor paper .. if you use just a tiny bit of water with these then some good cardstocks are fine.  I used the Copic friendly paper I have.

I also love this Smooches die!  It comes with the cute lips.  I cut the lips out of pink glitter paper but it wasn't quite the tone I wanted to I colored it a little with my Copics and it was perfect!  All I needed was a few sequins and I'm good!

I'm also playing along with the Paper Smooches Guest Designer Challenge which ends in about 16 hours or so as I type this so if you want to play along... check it out and get making!

Thanks for stopping and see you on the interweb!  Although I do have company over the next week and a half I have some posts that will go live during that time so don't be a stranger!

Paper Sweeties October 2017 New Release Rewind!

Welcome to the Release Rewind for the October 2017 Release over at Paper Sweeties!  Today I'm using the new Home is Where Your Story Begins stamps and dies along with a few other previously released sets!

I purposely placed the house so it was peeking out from behind the cluster of trees.  As I was building this scene it made me think of a place just like this where we lived in Western New York where they sold pumpkins out front of a house nestled in the woods... and the smoke from the fireplace would swirl up out of the chimney, through the trees, and up into the sky... gives me the warm fuzzies...

It was fun to create this scene using the house and trees from the new sets; the pumpkins from the Stand Add On Fall Harvest stamp set; the grass from the Tree of Life Sweet Cuts and the pup from the Planner Series: Appointments stamp set.  And of course... the hearts from Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

And the sweet dainty word die from the Thanks Sweet Cuts.. LOVE!

Now!  Be sure to head over to these places:

Paper Sweeties October 2017 New Release Party!

Woo hoo!  It's time for a Release Party over at Paper Sweeties!  Today is the day that all of the new stuff is available in the shop!  I'm sharing a project made using the new Home Is Where Your Story Begins stamp and die sets!  Links to all of the Paper Sweeties products I've used are at the bottom of this post.

I created my background with some orange vellum that I cut with the largest of the Scallop Circle Frames Sweet Cuts.  I actually cut this for my last card and decided it wasn't right... but It was perfect here!  And I feel like with the dark brown circle in the center it kind of looks like a sunflower again... unless I'm just seeing sunflowers everywhere...

Just love this sweet house that is included in the new Home Is Where Your Story Begins set!  I made it into a little birdie house and used my Copics to kind of make it look like it's made out of wood planks.  I used the cutie patootie little bird with the heart in its beak from the new set along with the birds from the Tree of Life Add On Set.  And OF COURSE I used those sweet hearts from Somewhere Over The Rainbow as my little LOVE smoke coming out of the chimney.

I love to use the leaf from the Be Happy Sweet Cuts all on its own sometimes to create foliage.  And those pretty Cookie Dough sequins .. perfect as flowers.

As usual, the hashtag sentiment is my favorite!..lol.. especially since I rarely leave room on the front for a large sentiment.  I'll put that on the inside because there are so many lovely sentiments on this set!

So that's me for today!  Thanks for stopping and come back tomorrow for the Release Rewind!  And don't forget to hop around and see what all of my teamies have created for you today!  Then get on over to the shop and get your new stuff as well as take advantage of the awesome sale going on... 25% off in the Sweeties Girls, Sweeties Friends, or Sweeties Boutique category!  See the pic below for your code!

Paper Sweeties October 2017 New Release Sneak Peeks!

Welcome to Sneak Peeks for the October 2017 Paper Sweeties Release!  Today I'm sharing a card with you using the new For You Stamp and Sweet Cuts sets and a few other items!

The For You sets are all about this awesome stitched tag and some really cute sentiments.  I cut two of the tags out and inlaid them into the woodgrain background.  First I cut two tag shapes in the background piece and then I added inserted two more tags in to that space and taped them in place on the back of the paper.  Then I layered the whole piece onto my card base.

I loved the smallest scalloped circle from the Circle Scallop Frames for sunflowers... I cut three sets out and placed them and the leaves from the Pretty Posies paper in a "bunch" which made this cute sentiment from the For You tag set perfect!
