Churray! It's Your Birthday!

I'm up on the blog over at Miss Ink Stamps with this one.

I created this watercolor background by smooshing on some watercolor with an acrylic block.

Join me over there for the details!

Thanks so much for stopping.  Come again soon!

Miss Ink Stamps-Hola!

Hello!  I've got some more Miss Ink and some more foil for you today!  I used quite a few things on this one!

I started with a mini slimline panel and blended some Abandoned Coral and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxides through the Ins and Outs: Hollywood stencil.  Then before removing the stencil I placed the Chevron stencil over the top and blended more Abandoned Coral over the entire area leaving a very faint chevron stripe.

Again leaving the Ins & Outs stencil over the base, I placed them both into the Misti and used a small brayer and some Heidi Swapp Toner Ink to add the ink to the images from the Pinata stamp set and stamped them onto the panel.  I also stamped the pinata image onto some white cardstock.  Then I foiled both the panel and individual pinata using Thermoweb Summer Rainbow Deco Foil and my Minc!  Finally, I splattered some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine over the top with a paint brush.

Finally, I cut the Hola letters out of some previously alcohol ink and foiled paper that happened to be just the right colors and a white strip.  The EI EI O dies make a few different words and I love that font!   I assembled the card, added a few sequins and done!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope you'll come again soon!

Celebrate - Miss Ink Stamps!

Welcome back!!  So if you come here often you know I've been playing with a bleach technique this month and I keep finding new ways to use it!  This one wraps up my month of bleach...lol... but I am in no way done with using it.  You'll see it pop up here and there for sure because I really am enjoying the look!  My friend Mare introduced me to this technique and she learned about it in a Gina K Facebook Live that you can check out here if you'd like!

So this technique isn't just for florals!  I've used the included images from the Pinata Party stamp and dies and the Streamers stamps and dies.  You can use any stamp sets for a different look.  I think I love painting with bleach so much because I love to play with Mixed Media... I love a vintage look (and you can definitely use this technique for a more clean looking card, but that's not what we're doing here today for sure...lol!).  I should say that this time around I did not stamp in Memento ink first before covering it with clear embossing powder.  I simply stamped in Versamark and used clear embossing powder for my images.  I love that the lines aren't as defined... perfect for this look I love so much!

And this word die from the Streamers stamp and die set!  I LOVE it... even with the included background die attached it takes up very little real estate on a card... perfect when you spent all that time making your card pretty and you don't want to cover any of it up!

This time I made my colors a little brighter using my Prismacolor pencils... because it's a party!  I colored the red, purple and blue pencil dark and then went over it with Putty Beige which is perfect for muting and blending the brighter colors just enough to keep the vintage feel.

I used an old Lil Inkers die as a topper to give me a nice blank space to add my extra images that I stamped and die cut.  I popped everything up with various thickness of foam tape and finished it off with some of my favorite sequins from Trinity Stamps!

And that's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed it and I sure hope you have fun playing with this technique!  Do be careful with the bleach.  You don't want to be inhaling lots of fumes while you are coloring.  I put a very small amount in a dish and move it away from me as soon as I'm finished... usually I'll leave it on the bathroom sink and then rinse it out when I'm positive I don't need to touch anything up.

Hoping your are all safe and happy!  Things here with COVID in Arizona are ramping up so I am spending lots of time still at home... which I don't mind at all!  I don't seem to have any extra time though somehow so I guess I may have been a bit of a homebody anyway...lol!

Have a wonderful weekend!  Come again soon!

A Colorful Celebration With Miss Ink Stamps

I've got a little bit of color here for you today... just a little!  I started with the Diamond Fade Stencil 2 and used it to apply some Deco Foil Transfer Gel.  I ran it through my Minc with some Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil.

I stamped a bunch of the rosettes from the Pinata Party Background Stamp set and the streamers from the Streamers Stamp Set, colored them in rainbow colors and cut them out using the coordinating dies.  I added them using varying thicknesses of foam tape.  These are two of my very favorite Miss Ink stamp sets... but I have a lot of favorite Miss Ink stamps!

I added an angled border at the top to hold that awesome Celebrate word die that is included in the coordinating dies to the Streamers set.  I used a gem in the center of each of the rosettes.

This one was so fun to put together and even more fun to look at!

I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Instagram Challenge for October which is Favorite Technique... I LOVE to add foil to a project using a stencil and Deco Foil Transfer Gel!  Foil is awesome anyway, but the added dimension when using the gel... perfect!

Thanks so much for taking this ride with me as I guested at Miss Ink Stamps this month!  I've had a lot of fun and I hope you've enjoyed it too!

Trick or Treat - Miss Ink Stamps

Happy Sunday!  Do you have a crafty hangover from World Card Making Day?  I hope you got a chance to get crafty and if not, maybe today?  I have some Miss Ink for you today!  I love the Boo Crew Stamp Set released in September!  With the adorable critters all dressed up for Trick or Treating and that spooky cute background... LOVE.  IT.

I started off by creating a Distress Oxide background using yellow, pink and purple.  Then I used my Misti to get a nice impression from the Boo Crew background.  I cut it down so it would fit behind the window die.  I chose plaid wallpaper... because why not??... and then layered on all of my pieces.

These critters... adorable right??

The ears!!

I used the Streamers and Pinata Party stamps and dies to create a party!  I love these two sets SO much.. good for any kind of celebration depending on how you color them... perfect for this Halloween party!  And that cute little spider ghost carrying all those flashlights... eep!  He's just "hanging" around!

So much fun!

I'm playing along over at Double Trouble's SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing FreeForAll!  It's the fifth week of a month so it's Anything Goes AND I'm also playing along over at DT's previous partner, 2 Crafty Critter Crazies... cause oh... I've got your critters here!  And I'm playing along at Kraft Chicks Create A Scene Challenge.  AND I'm playing along with #ssschallenge over on Instagram... all about your favorite technique!  I loves me some Distress Oxide backgrounds!  Check them all out!

Thank you so much for stopping and hope you enjoyed your visit!  I know I had a lot of fun putting this one together... those cuties are SO easy to color.. and there was much giggling going on in my craft room while I worked.

Come back again soon!
