Fall/Winter 2019 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day 2

I'm excited to be guesting with Super Sponsor A Jillian Vance Design for November and December, including for the current Mini Release!  There are a couple new coffee sets in town and I've used the Hug In A Mug set here today!

A Jillian Vance Design is a long time Super Sponsor over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog and this hop is no exception!  So I created a card to link up to the current Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Here's how I was inspired:

The Hug In A Mug set is awesome!  It has a really nice sized cup and coordinating images for every season!  Originally I was thinking Fall for this one, but I guess it's turned into more of a late summer...lol!  I started by random stamping a panel of watercolor paper with two of the floral images from the set in Versamark and heat embossed with white.  Then with a little bit of water and my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, I colored the background and the florals.  When that was all done, I sprayed it with water infused with Inkon3's Pixie Dust Spray and blotted it and then splattered on some Paul Rubens Glitter Watercolor.

Then I embossed the cup and this beautiful butterfly onto watercolor paper as well, and colored them in with the same colors of Zig markers.  I cut them out and popped them up onto the background.

I chose one of the many great sentiments in the set and stamped it onto a piece of cardstock that was cut using a die from the Sentiment Strips 2 Die Set.  I cut one end into an arrow type banner and then popped that up as well.  I just added a few sequins and I was done!

Bright and cheery so I thought that sentiment was perfect!

Thanks for stopping and please come back soon!  It's going to be a super busy week here! I hope you'll join me in playing along over at the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  You can find the link up, rules, list of SO many sponsors and more at this link here!  What are you waiting for??

You Mocha Me Happy - Miss Ink and the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's here... the most wonderful time of the year... no... not that one.. it's time for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Miss Ink is a sponsor and we're hopping along today to share some caffeinated creations to inspire you!

Link up any new Coffee, Tea or Cocoa themed creation for a chance to win one of many prizes!  The hop starts at the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Blog right here!  You'll find all of the rules and the linkup there.

Here's what I have for you today:

So... this squirrel from the Oh, Nuts! Stamp Set... adorable... they all are!  Doesn't he look like he's made to hold a coffee cup.  Normally I look at almost any set I have to see if there is a way to make a coffee card out of it.  I love making coffee cards using non-coffee themed sets.  The idea for this one however was put into my head a while ago by Heidi ...Miss Ink herself.. and it's been rolling around up there since.  So happy to finally get it onto a card!

I started by creating the background using the Caffeine Molecule and a Coffee Bean from the Brewtiful Stamp Set (which is one of my very favorite Coffee themed sets).  I random stamped the images onto a die cut panel and then splattered a little bit of glitter watercolor over it in some autumny colors.

And I thought the Have Heart wood slice would make the perfect place for the squirrel to take up residence.  A few leaves and acorns from the Oh, Nuts! set and the cup from Just Be-Caws.

And I built my sentiment with one from the Oh, Nuts! set and another from Brewtiful.  I added the parenthesis using an Emboss-It pen.

And that's what I have for you today!

I'm playing along over at Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge which is Anything Goes this week!  This is definitely anything!  I'm also playing along over at Cupcake Inspirations Fall Theme...

Thank you so much for stopping!  Be sure to check out all of the awesome inspiration over at the Miss Ink blog where you'll find some really beautiful projects along with links for more details and be sure to check out what's going on at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog!!  It's a week long celebration of Coffee, Tea and Cocoa and it's awesome!

CAS-ual Fridays 7 Years Release - Doing Great!

Welcome to Day 2 of the CAS-ual Fridays 7 Year Anniversary Release!  Today we're sharing projects using a fantastic new sentiment set, Doing Great!

If you ever need a card of encouragement for someone for any reason, what a great sentiment this is!  And it's true!  If you are reading this, you have survived anything you've gone through so far!

I decided this bold and uplifting sentiment needed a pretty background, so I used the flowers and leaves from the Pretty Posies stamp set and heat embossed them on the edges of a die cut panel.  Then I ink distressed the panel in some blues and added a little bit of stenciling using the Starlequin stencil.  Next I colored in the images using my Zig markers and finally splattered just a little bit of glitter watercolors over the top.

We hope you're enjoying this fun release!  And be sure to hop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see what everyone has created and find out how you could win some free stuff!

You will find all of the new release products in the shop now right here!  And should you see some things you must have, I have this for you:

Hey There Foxy With CAS-ual Fridays!

Welcome to some some CAS-ual Fridays inspiration!  Have you seen the beautiful Foxy stamp set in the CAS-ual Fridays shop?  I decided I needed to pull it out for today.  I stamped the images onto some watercolor paper using Ranger Archival Ink and then colored them in using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  Once they were dry, I fussy cut them out.  I love to cut the floral out especially because I love the way it looks and how it curls just a bit!

I created the background using the Modern Petals Stencil and the Zig markers.  I taped down the stencil over some water color paper and holding down the stencil close to the paper I proceeded to color in the petals.  I didn't spend a lot of time to color the entire petal because I knew I wanted to mix these colors in the negative spaces so with quick brush strokes I went over with yellow, then green, and then orange.  Finally I splattered some glitter watercolors over the top.

Once I popped up and added all of my pieces, I heat embossed this sentiment from the Foxy stamp set onto black cardstock... my favorite way to add a sentiment these days.

I'm playing along with Double Trouble's Masking Challenge... did you know simply using a stencil counts as masking?  Think about it!  It's exactly what a stencil is for!  And with my autumn colors, I'm playing along over at Kat Scrappiness' Fall themed Challenge!  They're partnering with Double Trouble so play along with both and get extra chances to win over at Double Trouble!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope I've provided a little inspiration for your crafty day!

If you have seen something you must have, I have this for you:

Come back soon and often for more inspiration!

An Autumn Hello With CAS-ual Fridays

Welcome to some CAS-ual Fridays inspiration!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using all Die Cuts... not a stamp to be seen!  And CAS-ual Fridays has some of the best in town!

I started with a neutral but beautiful background layering a base of Kraft with a Kraft layer of the Trellis Cover Die.  When it came time to cut the pieces of the Acorn Fri-Dies I thought I'd use some pretty design papers, but they were too distracting... cardstock was too flat... so I pulled out a 6X9 piece of white cardstock and a bunch of autumn colors in Distress Oxides and decided to make my own:

I started with some Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy that I applied to the whole sheet.

Then I added some Fossilized Amber to the entire sheet except for one corner that I wanted to leave very light for the bottom part of my acorns and I wanted an area with some green for some of the leaves, so I added the bundled sage just to one corner.

I added Rusty Hinge and Vintage photo (for some leaves) to all of the areas except where the Sage and Antique Linen areas were.  And for my acorn tops and leaf veins I darkened up an area with the Ground Espresso.  So I had all of the colors I needed on one sheet and slowly started taping down the dies to the colors I wanted and ran them through my Gemini.

And I ended up with all of these!  And my favorites are the ones that overlapped the various color "blocks"

I cut a large Scallop Tag from some cool "graph paper" patterned design paper.  Added my leaves and acorns and splattered some gold, bronze and white glitter watercolors over the whole thing.  Then I added and a gold Hello using a die from the Sweet Friend Fri-Dies across them, using popup tape, cut very thin in the middle to support it.

I also cut a couple of the Casual Tree die cuts from some darker kraft and added those to my foliage clusters.

And I still have lots of die cuts left over for another project!  You'll be seeing that soon!

In the meantime, if you've seen something you must have today, I have this for you:

And there are lots of awesome things on sale here!

Paper Smooches - There is Good In Every Day

So happy you stopped by today!  I'm sharing a card today that turned out very different from what I intended.  Have you seen the new release over at Paper Smooches??  SO much awesome!  One of the new items is a very cool stencil... the Succulent Stencil.  I thought while I was waiting for another project to dry, I'd create a background and then put a nice big chunky sentiment over it, but as I started water coloring I couldn't put down the brush.

I was using my Paul Rubens watercolors and they're so shimmery and mesmerizing...lol!  I started filling in the lines in between and adding more colors.  I'd let layers dry in between and I added additional shading with some water color pencils.  Once it was done, I cut it out and created a background panel with the purples and pinks and swiped some Inka Gold across which gave it a bit of a sunset look... perhaps a desert sunset...

And so I didn't cover up that beautiful succulent too much and because I decided I'm going to keep this one in my room for some inspiration this sentiment from the Inhale Exhale stamp set was perfect and it fit perfectly on one of the Bannerific die cuts!  I trimmed off the fishtails from one side so it fit well on the edge of my card.

I really enjoyed making this one.. and I hope you enjoyed your visit!

I'm playing along over at Paper Smooches for the August Challenge.  It's a Double Challenge over there this month and you can choose to play along with one or both:

The challenges are School and Words.  I chose Words... just add any sentiment to your project to play along!  Easy Peasy!
