Birthdays and Not Making a Big Deal!

Happy Birthday Month to Me!  Along with many of my friends!  I'm sharing with you today a little something I whipped up for a birthday for a male co-worker!  He loves hot sauce... specifically Cholula which happens to be my favorite too.  We were arguing a couple days ago because he didn't want me to make a "big deal" out of his birthday.  TBH, I was just planning on buying him a bottle of the beautiful sunset colored sauce, but it was like he was challenging me!  SO, another friend had given me this TINY bottle of Tabasco sauce because they knew I'd appreciate it... so dang cute!  Lucky I had the It's Fiesta Time stamp set from Hero Arts and it had this adorable Hot Sauce bottle on it and the perfect sentiment!  I decided to make a tiny card to go with it.  This one measures 2" x 1 1/2"...lol... and I wrote on the inside "Happy Birthday!... you asked me not to make a big deal... so I made a little tiny deal"... hahaha!  Of course, then I bought a couple bigger bottles of the good stuff (aka Cholula) and when he walked away from his desk I left these cuties in front of his keyboard and kind of "hid" the other two on his desk... I mean... they weren't hidden.. anyone with eyes could easily see them peeking from their spots!

Just to give you an idea of how little these truly are... I took a pic with my morning coffee cup (don't get me wrong... it's a two cupper... but they're still TINY)!

So when he got back to his desk he IM'd me and thanked me and we laughed.  He wondered where I'd found that tiny card... (seriously??)...men!  Anyway, hours later he IM'd me again and wanted to know when I put the Cholula on his desk...lololol!  That was the payoff... he hadn't seen them like I thought he had right away... "can't find the ketchup"... right?  I repeat... men!

SO!  I'm linking this one up to the A2Z Scrapbooking August Challenge which is Anything Goes!  I don't think there is a size requirement...lol!

Thanks for stopping!  Come back soon... today's my actual Birth Day so I'm celebrating the only way I know how... sweats, coffee, crafts, and my pups... and later Mexican and Margaritas.  And Happy Day to all of my Leo sisters out there!  Your cards WILL be late... but you knew that!

Such a cute card and cool little bottle of hot sauce. And, as for not seeing the bigger bottles, that is not surprising. My hubby can never find things even if they are right in front of his nose. Maybe that is the way men are wired. LOL Happy birthday to you! And I hope your birthday was a great one. I wish you many more my friend.

Found it...When I saw this on Facebook, I had to see what this was all about. Excellent gift and good job with your trickery on your Male Co-worker, sometimes they have no clue...lol. Enjoyed the story behind it and me knowing your coffee cup, this gift was tiny. Need more sauce from Costco?

Such a cute mini card and so clever too! I like the story behind it all! Don't ask how many bottles of hot sauce are in my cupboard. They are all my son's except one and all his are very hot. Thanks for joining in over at a2z Scrapbooking.
