CAS-ual Fridays Stamps New Release-Noteworthy Fri-Dies!

Welcome to Day 5 of Inspiration for the CAS-ual Fridays New Release!  Today we're sharing inspiration with the new Noteworthy Fri-Dies!  Here's how I was inspired:

This is a set of three border dies that create that cool notebook edge on your paper and I love them!  There are three different shapes for the holes AND you can also use it to cut the actual border shape out to add to your projects.  I used it here to create a torn notebook edge.

I started by inking up the inside of a sheet music embossing folder with black ink.  I just lightly rubbed the pad across the raised portion of the folder.  Then I sandwiched my paper in between and ran it through.  While it created the embossing it also "stamped" my paper for me.  Then I used some Old Paper distress ink around the edges of the paper and used the new Modern Petals stencil and Vintage Photo distress ink in the corners for a little more interest. I used the noteworthy die to cut the edge of the sheet music and then splattered some Heidi Swapp Gold Colour Shine over the top.

While my background dried, I heat embossed this beautiful sentiment from the Big Treble stamp set onto a banner die cut and cut the Treble Clef Fri-Die from some Foil Cardstock.

I put it all together and added a little flower and some pretty gold sequins and done!

I'm playing along with Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge which is Anything Goes this week!

Thank you for visiting me!  Hope I've inspired you and be sure to check out what everyone has created for you today!  And come back tomorrow for some more inspiration.  In the meantime, should you decide to shop, there's this for you:

A Friend Knows The Song In Your Heart-CASual Fridays

Lisa here and today I'm sharing with you a card I made using the Big Treble and Treble Clef Fri-Die along with a couple additional sets.

I started by creating a background using the Emboss/Resist method that Nora showed you in this post here.  I stamped some of the Treble Clef images from the Big Treble set along with some hearts from the Peace, Love and Coffee stamp set in a sort of random pattern in Versamark and heat embossed them using white embossing powder.  Then I ink blended my background with Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides and lightly swiped over the top to wipe the ink off of the images.  I decided I wanted the Treble Clef images to stand out more so I added some additional color back to just those using my Zig Clean Color Real Watercolor Brush Pens-alternating in similar colors to what I used for the background.  Then I splattered some metallic watercolors over the top in pink and gold.

I fell in love with the background so I decided my sentiment should be on vellum to let as much of it show as possible.  I cut my frame from vellum using the Bubble Box Fri-Dies and heat embossed in black.  I have always loved this sentiment!!  CAS-ual Fridays has some of the best sentiments I've found anywhere!

I cut a Treble Clef die cut out of some foiled cardstock that was just the right color.  Along with some hearts from the Heartboard Fri-Die... I just used the one for the bottom left corner and saved the rest for a future card.   Finally I scattered some clear and pink sequins around.

I hope you enjoyed your visit here today!  Be sure to come back often for more inspiration!
