Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - October 2024 Edition

Hello!  It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas Cards we made this month!  I've been super busy with work and election activities so my crafty time has been limited.  I made one card this month but it's a fun one!

You know I love the quarterly subscription box from Your Paper Insider!  This month's box has some fabulous papers but also a fun surprise!  It comes with a sheet of adorable images from artist Kim Mraz of Paper Smooches fame!  I used one of them here and all of the papers are from the box as well.

I used some Paper Smooches dies from my stash and the images come with a few sentiments too and guess what!  You can add foil with your laminator or foil machine like the Fuse!

I added some snowy hills with Ink on 3 white ink and fabulous WOW embossing powder.

That's me for today!  Now be sure to head on over to Debra and Michael's places to see what they've created for today!

Thank you so much for stopping and I hope you'll come back again soon!

Love You More - Your Paper Insider

If you haven't signed up for the Your Paper Insider Subscription Box you are missing out... ALL of these greens are in the latest box.  Every piece of shimmery fresh green goodness!

I used some dies I picked up from Queen & Company (the awesome Paper Smooches I Love You die set and that cool wavy beauty from Erin Lee Creative-this one is not available any more but there is a cool slimline version.)

The cool thing is with my leftover pieces from that wavy die I can make some more similar cards... hmmmmm... I have an idea for those!

Thanks for stopping!  Come again soon!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - January 2024 Edition

Merry Christmas!  Debra and I are back with a little bit of Christmas Card inspiration!  I have one card ... because it's January and work is crazy.  It's 1099 season... IYKYK!

I've been missing Paper Smooches so much and am very excited that Kim has found a new home for her artwork over at Queen & Company.  I decided this month I'd use some of my Paper Smooches stash.  You can't get it all over at Queen & Company, but that awesome Joy die is on sale right now. I can't help you with the snowman and no you can't have mine because he's SO cute!  But there is a great new release that I of course have on the way so you can check out out here and here!

I've been hoarding that gel print background for a long time waiting for just the right way to use it...I think this was it!

Thanks so much for stopping!  Hope you'll come back soon and don't forget to hop on over to Debra's to see her awesome card!

Double Trouble Challenge #155 - Guestie!

A new challenge starts today over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog and I'm guesting over there this month!

This month, use your favorite cutting tool!   Of course mine is my Gemini Die Cutting Machine.  I love it... it's electric and really saved my shoulder because I use it... a lot... I mean like .. a lot a lot.  LOL!  And for the twist, wrap it up and add a ribbon, bow, twine, etc!

I mean... I took the assignment literally and really "wrapped it up".  My whole card is a wrapped gift!  I added a poinsettia as a bow using some old Paper Smooches dies, and added a bow die cut from The Greetery.  Those pretty red glitter and metallic green papers are from my latest quarterly Your Paper Insider Box!  The plaid is from Lawn Fawn and it's oooold... but you know I have a huge stash of plaid papers.

Double Trouble is partnering with Use Your Stuff this time around and if you've used your favorite cutting tool and added some ribbon, twine or a bow, you can link up over there too!

I added a simple sentiment using the Merry die set from Rubbernecker Stamps.

Easy peasy!   Head on over to the Double Trouble Challenge Blog for more inspiration and I can't wait to see what you create!

Thank you so much for stopping!  Come again soon!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - November 2023 Edition

It's time for the Craft Elves to share the Christmas Cards we made this month!  And for November we have a special guest joining us!  This time Amy Tsuruta is playing along with me, Debra and Michael!  Be sure when you leave here to give them a visit!

For this one I used papers from the latest Your Paper Insider Box and to celebrate Paper Smooches comeback I used the adorable Freezy Fellas stamp set!  Did you know that Kim from Paper Smooches has teamed up with Queen & Co and they'll be carrying some old favorites and some new artwork from Kim too!  Freezy Fellas is available over there now!  AND they're included in the BOGO offers in the Queen & Company Black Friday Sale!

I ran that pretty blue metallic paper through my die cutting machine in a sweater embossing folder from Richard Garay.  I used some of my favorite old Paper Smooches dies for the sentiment, snowflakes and circle frame as well.

That's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to head on over to everyone's blogs to see what they've created for you today.  Links are above!

Come again soon!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - October 2023

Welcome to the October 2023 Crafty Elves post where my friends Debra, Michael and I share the Christmas cards we made this month!

I only have one card for you this month!  My boys surprised us with a visit Friday which was super awesome but we've been running since then so one card it is!

This latest quarterly Your Paper Insider Box is perfect for all kinds of Christmas/Winter cards!  I used the red glitter, white and green cardstock and green metallic papers from the box!

And they paired perfectly with some Paper Smooches dies!  I added that pretty stenciling using a stencil from Uniko also along with some Therm O Web Transfer Gel Duo and some Magical Shattered Glass Deco Foil.

That's me for today!  Be sure to check out what Debra and Michael have created too!

Thanks for stopping!  Come again soon!

Smooches - Your Paper Insider and a Paper Smooches Throw Back

Hello!  I'm excited to share this one today.  IDK about you, but I sure was sad when Paper Smooches closed up shop.  And I can't bring myself to part with any of my old Paper Smooches stamps and dies.  So I pulled some of them out to play with my quarterly Your Paper Insider box!

Almost every piece of paper I used on this one was from the latest paper box I received.  From that fun stripey embossed white paper that I stenciled on to the shimmery green of the cactus and border along with the pink I used for the base (after cutting some dies from the center).  And that sparkly yellow glitter paper for the sun and eyeglasses and pink glitter paper I cut hearts from!  And there is lots of each left for lots more cards. I only added a scrap of white and back... white for the pot that I ink distressed in yellow and black for behind the cactus and sun faces.

And I love the look of the stenciling on the stripes!  So fun!

That's me for today!  Hope you enjoyed it and you'll come again soon!

Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #14 - Coffee & Hearts!

It's February and time for a new challenge over at the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge!  This month the theme is Christmas, Coffee and at least one Heart!  Our sponsor is LTTS Doodles and this fun Etsy shop makes the most adorable digis!  I've used the super sweet Sweet Yeti digi set for today and here's how I was inspired:

I made lots of backgrounds for today's Therm O Web post and I had some left over so I used one for this one... the adorable Dainty Hearts Toner Card Front foiled in Pink Melon!  And then I added some snow drops using the Tiny Snowfall Stencil from Miss Ink!  First I applied some Glitz Glitter Gel and after that dried a second layer (offset) with Transfer Gel Blanco.

I added the snowflake, greeting and some pretty hearts cut from foil using some old favorite dies from Paper Smooches (super miss this shop!).

And as if that wasn't fun enough!  Today is my day up on the blog over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers!

I took the opportunity to use the 2nd digi in the Sweet Yeti set for a second card!

This little sweetie didn't have a coffee cup but that's ok!  When you have cups in all sizes it's easy to add one.  I used a craft knife (loving my new Art Knife from Olfa) to cut around his mitten so I could slide the cup handle underneath.

I added some stitched hills to this one, a sentiment built from two stamps from Miss Ink and more of those cute Paper Smooches hearts and chunky snowflake.

This card front was foiled in the Enchanted Rose foil... I just LOVE the variation in colors that foil gives off... almost rainbow like as you move it around!

I'm playing along over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog with some stitching (on my snowy layer) and my magical Sweet Yeti.  You have until Sunday, February 5th to play along!  (Note that the Fairy and The Unicorn challenge ended January 31st.)

I hope you enjoyed it!  Don't forget to hop on over to the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge and Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blogs and say hello there!    You're going to love all the extra inspiration at CCCC ... and my mom is guesting there too so check out her super adorable card!
And I highly recommend you give LTTS Doodles shop a visit!  I guarantee you're gonna find something there you need to have!

Come again soon!
