Hippo Birdie 2 You!

Hello!  Happy Friday!  I have a fun Birthday Card for you today using some stamps, stencil and dies from Miss Ink Stamps!  I also used one of the "2" Adhesive Transfers from Therm O Web.

I decided to make the whole card my sentiment!  Did you get it?

Hippo... Birdie... To... You!  I mean you could just use the sentiment on the Hippo Hooray stamp set, but you don't have to!

Thanks for stopping!  Hope you'll come again soon!

Hippo Birdie To You - Miss Ink stamps

Happy Friday!  I've got some Hippo Hooray from Miss Ink Stamps for you today!

I used the Ins and Outs Quatrefoil again along with Random Dots and Tiny Snowfall for the background.  I used embossing paste for the gold dots and embossed them in WOW Clear Gold Glitter and just added a few images from Hippo Hooray and a birthday sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping!  Hope you'll come again soon and hoping to have some videos for you sometime soon.  Now that tax season is over I should have more time for that again... you can consider it something to look forward to or a warning...lol!

Come again soon!

I've got some Huge Hugs for you today with the Hippo Hooray stamp set from Miss Ink along with some images from the Say Cheese set and a banner from Springtime Banners!

I created the background using the Ins and Outs: Hollywood and Latte Love stencils.  I used ink to start and then some glitter past through a portion of it.

That's me for today!  Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon!

Miss Ink Stamps - Gelli Plate Leftovers Are The Hippest

Yesterday I was up on the Miss Ink Stamps blog here sharing a card using some panels from a Gelli Plate session and today I'm using some of the "extra" "reject" panels... which I am loving!

I created a Mini Slimline using some new AJVD dies for today and cut one of the layers from a leftover panel and some more bubbles with a Memory Box die.  I also used the leftover panel for my sentiment.

I am so in love with these baby hippos from Miss Ink along with all of the other images and sentiments on this set, Hippo Hooray!

For this one, rather than stamping the seaweed directly onto the panel, I used the images from the stamp set... stamped, colored and fussy cut.

I'm really bad about stating the Copic colors I've used on my projects usually because by the time I am writing up my blog post I've forgotten.  And I do have a few favorite combos, but I got this idea from a friend and I think it will work out just fine!  I will try to always include something like this for each post going forward for those who want to know.  Actually it's a good reminder for me too!

That's me for today!  Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon!

I'm up on the blog over at Miss Ink Stamps with this one and I've been playing with the Gel Press again!

It was perfect to create this underwater background for the Hippo Hooray images!  I've got lots of details over there and hope you'll join me!

Also, I can't stress enough what great inspiration Tania Ahmed's IG account has been for me as I have started playing with the Gel Press and highly suggest you follow her at her account here!

Hippo Bird Day To You - Miss Ink Stamps

Welcome back!  For today I have some more Miss Ink Stamps, along with alcohol inks, Deco Foil and EVO paper!

And I'm playing along with the It's a Girl Thing Annual Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop !   I was inspired by the colors and added a few pretty little butterflies while I was at it!  Here's the inspiration photo:

How are you inspired?  I hope you find some time to play along and hop on over to the blog to find out all about Lori and her daughter Julie's journey with Turner Syndrome.   Did you know that Turner Syndrome is a lesser known genetic disorder that occurs in 1 in 2000 babies and is accompanied with lifelong medical issues and learning disabilities?  There is so much information over on the blog... be sure ot check it out and help us spread the word.  You might even win a prize!  I can't wait to see what you create!

This time I wanted some lighter colors for my alcohol ink background so cut a panel of EVO paper and picked out a couple of my Copic reinker bottles that were the colors I wanted and went to town.  Using the same technique as on my last, I moved the colors around with some Blending Solution and then added foil from my scraps when I was done.  If you'd like a little more info on adding the foil you can check out my post over at Miss Ink from yesterday here!

I had started coloring up some flowers and leaves from Brewtiful and Springtime Banners as well as birds and butterflies when I decided there was a big of a tropical feel so I decided one of the adorable Hippos from Hippo Hooray would be perfect!

And I just love this punny sentiment from the Hippo set so I decided it was the one and why not add a Hippo friend, that cute little turtle??  Check out the shine on that background!  I guess these colors inspired me to give this a tropical feel.

Thanks so much for stopping!  Hope you enjoyed it and you'll come again soon!

I Hippopotamiss You! - Miss Ink Stamps

Hello again!  I'm back with the adorable new Hippo Hooray stamp set from Miss Ink again along with some flowers from Magnolia Sympathy.  I am living in a world where baby hippos are smaller than flowers and fit nicely in your pocket so you can take them along with you everywhere you go... which isn't very far these days... but I'd still love a baby hippo in my pocket!!

I started my background with the Diamond Halftones stencil and some clear texture paste.  Then I sprinkled on some Primary Pink and Sparkling Snow Wow Embossing Powders.  Then I heated them up until they bubbled.  I stamped, cut and colored all of my images and then added them inside the photo frame with various thicknesses of popup tape.  Finally I stamped and then die cut that adorable sentiment using a word bubble die and popped that up too.  Finally I added a few sequins and done!  I LOVE this sweet hippo with the flower in her hair... oh!  That one is from Springtime banners.

I just love this one!!

I'm playing along over at Double Trouble!  The current challenge is to create a Friendship card!  No Birthdays, Holidays or Celebrations.  I'm just telling my friend I miss her!  And I've met the twist which is to use Gray along with two other colors!  So I can also link up over at their partner for this challenge, Color My Heart Color Dare!  (Silver, White and Black are also allowed)  My colors are Gray, Pink and Green!  You can find this challenge here!  Check out their posts for any details and play along!

Thanks so much for stopping!  And if you haven't seen it, check out my other post today to see how you could maybe win some stuff!

Come again soon!

Huge Hugs - Miss Ink Stamps

Welcome back!  Today I'm sharing a card using another new release stamp set from Miss Ink, Hippo Hooray!  I just love these adorable hippos in this set along with all of the other great images... I've used almost all of them today!
I used distress oxide for the background in a few blues... I just blended it on with a blending brush and then used the Paint Stroke Floral stencil and added a little more.. just lightly which created a nice ripply effect over the blue.. you know... like water!

I heat embossed some of the little solid fishies in gold and some of the bubbles in white.
I stamped, colored and cut all of my images including the banner from Springtime banners... I just LOVE coloring those banners in.  I stamped my sentiment onto the banner and then popped it up and arranged all of my images around it.  Finally just a few sequins and done!

I'm playing along with Double Trouble's current challenge to use dry or heat embossing!  I've done that!  And with these awesome hippos I've also met the critter twist and am linking up with this challenge's partner, 2 Crafty Critter Crazies!  You should check them out!  There are prizes!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you enjoyed it!  Come again soon!
