Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - April 2023 Edition

Welcome back!  It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas cards we made this month!

After you see what I have for you here, be sure to visit Debra and Michael to see what they have for you today!  Misty is taking a break this month!

Here's what I created this month:

IDK about you but when I create, I always have extras left over!  When I print digis, I print the images in a few different sizes because I'm not sure what I'm going to want when it comes time to create my cards.  Both images I used today along with almost everything else on these cards was left over from previous projects like this adorable Tree Cup Gnome from The Cat's Pajamas!

I created that gel print a while ago and cut it for a previous project but didn't use it so I used it here!  It's funny because the pink of that great Avery Elle Wonky Square frame was much redder and the red in the gel print was much pinker while I was creating... but I don't mind... I kind of like the contrast.  The Gel Print was created using the Lumberjack Plaid Stencil from Miss Ink and has some Iridescent Foil over it from Therm O Web.

And of course I have tons of extra snowflakes in my workspace so I chose this Bold Snowflake from AJVD as an accent.

I'm playing along with the BYSHC Spring Into Christmas 2023 Holiday Linky Party!  You have until the 28th to create a Christmas Card and link up for a chance to win prizes from some fabulous sponsors!  And be sure to join them over on Facebook where you'll have lots of chances to win stuff and you'll find tons of Christmas Card inspiration all year long!

For this one, I had printed some fabulous Unique Snowflakes from Angie Blom onto Gel Prints a while ago and then foiled it.  That's when I discovered that foil sticks to the Acrylic Paint as well as the toner from the printed image..lol... so they didn't come out as clear as I'd hoped and had a bit more foil on them, but I knew I'd use them some day and this was the day!  It's really a fab set of snowflakes that I think I'm gonna print up and use next month again!  So stay tuned for that.

I did cut that loopy panel for this one because I just love it!!  It adds such a fun detail to a card.  And idk how it's taken me so long to talk about that adorable Yeti from LTTS Doodles!!  Also an extra digi I printed from a previous project.  I added some treelights to his horns and a couple gifts from an adorable Pawsome Stamps set that I stamped and die cut previously and they were perfect with this digi!

I used a sentiment from MFT stamps along with a banner that I cut previously... when I'm cutting extras, banners of all sorts are a great go to to fill up the space on my large die cutting machine!

That's me for today!  I've been kind of lax with the prizes during tax season but I am going to start that up again!  If you were a winner and I didn't send you a prize, please do let me know!!  And I apologize.  Although I think I did get past prizes sent out, I know there is always a chance something gets by me.

This month I'm giving away a packet of slightly used or new stamps and/or dies as I'm trying to destash a bit.  Some will have packaging and some not.  If you are interested in being in the drawing, follow me and comment here or on one of my two posts on Instagram for these two cards and let me know!  If you would rather not be in the drawing, feel free to still leave me some love and just let me know not to include you.  Comment in all three places for three chances to win.  I'm not sure what days I'll be posting on Instagram, but it will be sometime in the next week or two.

Thanks so much for stopping and don't forget to visit my fellow Crafty Elves.

I've included links below to the products I used for these two cards.  Some are affiliate links and some are not, but I like to include links to everything in case you're feeling shoppy!

Happy Hopping and Shopping!

Craft Elves' Countdown to Christmas March 2021 Edition!

Merry Christmas in March!  It's time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas cards we made this month!

I decided I needed to really get to know the Winter Gnomes set from Sweet N Sassy Stamps so my first three cards use images from that one...

I decided to keep all of my cards fairly simple in design and used a similar formula for each.  I used up some old Doodlebugs papers and tried to coordinate them with the theme of my image.  This sentiment is from the Winter Gnomes set.

I decided on that photo frame from Trinity Stamps because it was the perfect size for a small simple scene and for these image sizes... I cut some landscape from glitter paper using these Rubbernecker dies.  I love them because they have stitching on both sides of the cut lines!  I just trimmed them down to fit inside the frame.  I also cut a few snowflakes from a couple different places like Paper Smooches and A Jillian Vance Design.

I think this one is my favorite... of course the coffee (or cocoa if you prefer) and decided to use an old Paper Smooches die set.  Love the candies and cookie and they were fun to cut from Copic friendly paper and color them and then add glitter to some of them.  I used a sentiment from an old MFT set because it was just right.

Did I mention I'm playing along with the Coffee Lovers blog Hop??  You have today and tomorrow to pay along too!  I'm linking up this one for sure!

For my last card, I decided to use an adorable set called Spit Happens from The Cat's Pajamas... it's no longer available, however, you may want to head over to their shop because they've got big progressive sale action going on as they are going digital.  Lots of fun stamps and dies on sale for 20% off at last check and I'm sure you'll find something you love!

Anyway, here's how I was inspired:

Aren't these guys adorable???  I had that MFT Happy Holidays die cut already cut and used the Fleece Navidad from an MFT stamps set because this one wasn't a Christmas set.  I'm linking this one up to the Coffee Lovers Hop too because one of these little guys is drinking a cup of coffee!  I love that the dies for this one cut out his cute little hooves.

Now for last month's winner of some Happy Mail!

Crystal, send me your snail mail so I can get you some Happy Mail!

Thanks to all of you who stop and give us love each month!  I'm doing it again except this time I know ahead of time what I'll be sending you!  If you love that cookie and candy die set I used on the Candy Cane card, then you're gonna love love it at your house!  Just comment here for your chance to have it come to your house!

That's me for today!  Be sure to head on over to Debra's and Michael's places to see what they've created for you this month!

And also head over to the Coffee Loving Cardmakers and play along there too!  You have today and tomorrow to play along!

Here's how I was inspired:

I have two cards for you today using this set... I have so many more images cut out and ready to go too... I just love these sweet bunnies.. not to mention that adorable little mouse with his adorable big ears!

This one I kept fairly clean and simple using the beautiful Scalloped Duo Die to cut the beautiful frame and little embellishment by my sentiment.  And speaking of, I love the sentiments on this set!  This one might be my favorite...

And then I did this:

I used that beautiful Scalloped Duo die again but as an embellishment behind my bunnies.  Aren't they just the absolute cutest??  And can you tell I'm ready for Spring?...lol!

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas - May 2019

Welcome to the May edition of Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas!  Each month on the 25th, my friend Debra Davison from Meticulosity and I are sharing the Christmas cards we made for that month.  We've made a pact to keep each other going making a Christmas Card a week so that at Christmas time, we're all done and only have to mail them!  So far so good!  It's May and we've both more than stuck to our commitment!  Without further ado, here is how I was inspired:

I'm starting with these adorable deer from Your Next Stamp's Oh Deer stamp set.  It's not really a Christmas stamp set, but these two deer are easily added to a Christmas card.  I used papers from Papertrey Ink's Wonderland Paper Collection, Evergreen Dies from Impression Obsession, Holly Leaf Cluster from I.O., Scribble Snowflake Die from CDD, Mini Snowflakes from Lawn Fawn,  Jingle All The Way Die from Kat Scrappiness, and the Nested Rectangle Small Stitch Dies from Rubbernecker.

I basically used a similar layout and just moved things around a bit.  I made the white sentiment stand out just a bit against the background by stacking it over a dark gray die cut.

I love this leaping deer...lol!  So sweet!

Don't tell Debra, but I decided to use this one with the butterfly on her tail and the flower on her ear on a Summery card!  The sentiment is from the Oh Deer set.  I stamped it on one of the wonderful Bannerific Dies from Paper Smooches.  I also used the Nested Circle Scallop w/Holes Dies from Rubbernecker.  That adorable fence is from Whimsy and I believe it's retired.  The grass is from Craftin Desert Divas and those beautiful flowers I borrowed from my mother... they're from Impression Obsession and a set called Spring Branches... and I will have a set as soon as possible.

With this one I'm playing along over at Your Next Stamp's Bi-weekly Challenge #114!  It's School's Out For Summer and you can create something with a School or Summer Theme... I went with Summer!

Next I turned to this fun set from The Cat's Pajamas called Fat Cat Christmas; I also used the Nested Deckle Rectangle Dies from Rubbernecker and Stitched Scallop Dies from CDD along with some of my other favorites listed above.

Just love these adorable sassy cats with their even sassier sentiments!

And that old plaid CTMH paper was just the ticket!

I'm playing along over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog... their challenge this time around is to use Kraft!  Check it out before you start because you there are extra chances to win if you meet a couple other requirements in your project!

And last but certainly not least... a Lil' Inker... on this one I used the beautiful and adorable 'Tis the Season stamp set and that cup from the Coffee Talk 2 Die Set cut from the Papertrey Ink birch patterned paper from the same pack I used for the first few cards above.

Another month of Christmas cards in the books!

And now for the winner for some Happy Mail from my April post:

Three Amigos Blog Hop February 2019 - Inspiration Photo!

Welcome to the February Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge!  This month the challenge is based on this beautiful inspiration photo!  It's meant to inspire and not require... so what will inspire you?  Here's what I saw:

I was inspired by the colors... although I have very little pink in mine (except for that adorable tongue...lol!), the blues.. the golds...that orangey color..the gold sentiment...and the circular shape of it reminded me of the sun ray decoration and then the background paper reminded me of the pattern on the pillow.  I love these papers from the Pink and Main Be Brave 6x6 pad.

This is a birthday card for my dad.  He takes care of our dogs for us during the week so this cutie pie from The Cat's Pajamas Whee stamp set is perfect to deliver the message!  He's so excited!  And do you know how long I've wanted that Happy Birthday Circle Frame from MFT??  I finally found it at Doodlebugs and it was perfect for this card!

I thought it would be fun to have him jumping over a bunch of presents and the Presents dies from TCP were perfect!  The bows are beautiful and love all of the different shapes of them.  I used the two box dies that come in the set and then one additional square die from my stash to make one more size of box, cut them from some more of the patterned papers from the paper pad and then layered and stacked them.

I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge which is Anything Goes this week and the Outlawz Twisted Thursday which is always anything goes and this week's twist is Die Cuts!  I'm also playing along with Anything Goes over at Die Cuttin Divas... my friend Julie brought this one to my attention!  You should check them out!

That's it for me!  Now be sure to head on over to Susan and Donna's blogs to see how they were inspired by the photo!  And stop on over at the Three Amigos Blog to see who won January's prize and play along in February!

Thanks for stopping!
