A Multi Medium Birthday Card - CASual Fridays Stamps

Welcome back!  If you like to play with different mediums this is the card for you! I I came across the Bubble Box layer with green and gold Alcohol Inks on it in my stash.  I had made it for a different project, but it wasn't right for that one.  Turns out it was perfect for this one and it set the tone for the rest of the card!

I used the Jacks stencil to blended some greens through it onto a white cardstock layer and then because my alcohol ink layer had gold in it I decided to add some Inka Gold randomly before removing the stencil.  Mine was dried up so when I use it I just add a little water to it and apply it with a sponge.  After that dried, I layered that onto my white base, then a vellum Bubble Box and then popped up the Alcohol Ink layer.

Finally I stamped the Happy Birthday in the same greens I used on the background and then without moving the stamped image in my Misti, I dabbed on some Ranger embossing ink that comes in a bottle with a dauber tip to the stamp set, stamped it over the ink stamped image and then used clear embossing powder over the top.  I got a kind of textured embossed look which I decided I liked because it kind of makes the  sentiment sparkle!  And then I cut it out and popped it up over the top.  I just added a few sequins and I was done!

That's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed your visit and you'll come back again soon for some more CAS-ual Fridays Stamps inspiration!

Hi There Hop Stuff - CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!

Hi there!  Lisa here and I'm sharing another shaker similar to one I made for the Crafting of Hue Sponsorship Weekend so I could show you how I made this shaker using the paw die from the Huggable Critters die set!

I started by cutting the Bubble Box layer using the 2nd largest die in the set.  I taped it in place and then took the paw die from the Huggable Critters set and taped it in the bottom left corner so I could run them through together and avoid an extra run through the Gemini.  Then I took that piece and taped the paw die in place again and ran it through.  Then one more time so the paws were hopping across the bubblebox.  Once all three paws were cut out, I ran the entire thing through with a floral embossing folder.

Next I adhered acetate over the back of the die cut paws and added foam tape to create a well around the area I wanted to place my sequins and then additional tape to provide support for the Bubble Box layer.  I filled the well with sequins... using my fine tweezers to flip them over so when the shaker was right side up, most of the sequins would be too!

And finally I placed the design paper that I wanted to show through the shaker windows over the back.  I added adhesive to that and flipped the whole shaker element over onto my card front.

To finish it off, I used this cutie pie bunny from the Little Huggables set that I colored with my Copics.

And I added this cute sentiment also from the Little Huggables set... love all of the punny sentiments on this set!

A few sequins and done!

Thanks so much for stopping today!  Hope you enjoyed your visit and that you'll come back for more inspiration soon!  And should you need anything from the shop, I have this for you:

You're Pawesome-CASual Fridays and Crafting of Hue!

It's a fun day!  CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is sponsoring over at the Crafting of Hue Facebook Group again!  And today the theme is Critters!  We all have created something for you today using some of the adorable critter products in the shop!

I colored up two of the critters from the Little Huggables stamp set!  Dogs and Cats can get a long!  These two are best of friends!

And I created a shaker by using one of the paw dies from the Huggable Critters set!  First I cut the 2nd largest Bubble Box die in white cardstock.  At the same time I positioned the paw in the bottom left corner of the bubble box and taped it in place and put them both through the Gemini together.  Then I placed the next paw where I wanted it on the die cut and ran it through again and then one more time!  After embossing the bubble box layer with a plaid embossing folder, I placed some acetate on the backside of this die cut; added some foam tape around the line of paws and while it was still upside down, I filled that with lots of sequins.  I took the time to flip them over so most would be facing the right way.  Next I took the backing off of the foam tape and placed a black piece of cardstock over the opening.  Then I added more adhesive and flipped the entire shaker element over onto my background.

Finally I just added the critters, sentiment and a few sequins and done!

AND to make it even better, I have this for you:

To The Moon And Back With CAS-ual Fridays!

Welcome back!  I'm up on the blog over at CAS-ual Fridays and sharing another cloudy background I created using some distress oxides and the Bubble Box die cut that I used on my card from my last post which you can see here if you'd like!  I'm using the adorable Somebunny stamp set again and this is the night time version....

I used some blues and purple distress oxides this time for my night time sky.  I realized after I finished my background that I forgot to leave some space for my moon glow so I decided to try the oxide lift technique.

I figured out about where my moon would be and used a paintbrush to apply water where I wanted to add a yellow glow and then "lifted" color off of the paper using a paper towel.  I repeated this process a couple times and then dried the area with a heat gun.  Then I added in some yellow.

I also added some tiny gold "stars" using a Uniball Gold Gel Pen.  I used the Stars Fri-Dies (still attached to each other) to create these glitter paper star frames.  I'm thinking I may not cut them apart because I love these frames!  I popped them up onto my background and then popped the rabbit hanging from the moon with a slightly thicker foam tape.

And finally a couple of the adorable sentiments from the Somebunny stamp set and a few sequins!

So there we are!  I can't tell you enough how I love these bunnies!

As High As The Sky - CASual Fridays Stamps

Welcome back!  Today I'm sharing this sweet card that could be a Valentine or just to let someone know that you love them!  And I'll show you how I used the Bubble Box Fri-Dies to create this cloudy background!

I started by cutting a background layer from white cardstock.  Then I cut the largest Bubble Box die also from white... you could cut it out of any cardstock or even a light cardboard or chipboard depending on how often you intend to use it.  Although even just out of simple card stock this one is in my stash ready to use again!  I laid the bubble Box die over the background panel starting at the bottom at various angles, blended ink lightly over the top and then moved the die cut over and repeat... always tilting at different angles to give the feel of various shaped clouds.

I just kept my ink blending to the top of the diecut careful not to go over the straight edge too much!

This background took just a few minutes and I love it!  I added a little ink to the bottom of the panel as well... 'cause we're WAY high up in the sky...

... 'Cause that's how much I love you!!  Aren't those bunnies from the Somebunny Stamp set SO adorable!!  This one was floating hanging onto a balloon, but I cut the balloon and string off and covered the extra lines with white gel pen.  Then I cut his hand off (sorry bunny) so I could make it look like he had it wrapped around that largest heart from the Heart Board Fri-Dies.  And can we talk about the heartwarming sentiments on the Somebunny Set?!  Love them all, but I thought this one was perfect!

And seriously... those Heart Board Fri-Dies are one of my favorite go to die sets... I cut them once from the design paper I wanted to use and once out of some thin crafters foam for a little bit of dimension.  And the hearts from the Somebunny set were perfect to scatter around along with a few sequins.

And that's me for today!  Thanks so much for visiting and hope you enjoyed it!

Should you decide there is something that you must have, I have this for you:

And you can still get some great deals on retiring sets right here!

Come again soon and often for more inspiration!

This Sucks - But Coffee! With CAS-ual Fridays

Welcome back!  Today I'm sharing some CAS-ual Fridays new release inspiration with you!  I love the sassy sentiments that are available in the CAS-ual Fridays Shop including the new This Sucks stamp set!  I love using bold colors with it too because that's how I feel when I'm being sassy.

I stuck with a color pallet of black, white and red.  I used the Bold Trellis Stencil, some Deco Foil Transfer Gel and Black Foil for this background.

Don't you just love the fun sentiments in this set??

And then there's Cup Refills.  Coffee is my Sassy Fuel!  This sentiment is quite true...lol!

I layered the Coffee Cup Fri-Die and Bubble Box in a wonky pattern.  On this one I used the Starlequin stencil .. you know... the one I like to call my favorite!

Today is the last day for the 2019 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  I'm linking this one up to it!  You have until this evening to play along and did you know CAS-ual Fridays is a sponsor??  Lots of sponsors and lots of prizes!  Check it out here and you still have time to play along!
