Nappy New Year - Miss Ink Stamps

Welcome back!  I got this idea in my head and couldn't let it go while I was looking at the adorable sleepy bears from the Bear Hugs stamp set.

I started with a gel print I created using one of the Diamond Fade stencils.  I die cut a cloud and cut it into two.  Then I stamped, colored and cut the images from Bear Hugs and created the sentiment using the Seasons Greetings stamp set and the Punny Farm alpha dies from the frame set.

I love this... maybe my New Year resolution will be to take more naps... probably gonna need them.

Thanks for stopping!  Come back again soon!

Mooey Christmas - Miss Ink Stamps!

Mooey Christmas!  I made this one for someone in particular!  I love making these snowy backgrounds with some of the awesome backround stamps from Miss Ink Stamps!

And those Highland Cows?!  So cute!

The Punny Farm Frame Die Set came in handy for the sentiment!  I love the unique fonts used for the Miss Ink alphas!  And I created some pretty poinsettias or Cuetlaxochitl, using the flower dies from the Oh Happy Day die set. I just learned that this flower that was said to be "discovered" by Joel Poinsett is actually native to Mexico was actually widely used and cultivated by Native Americans before its "discovery" and had nothing to do with Christmas.  The pronunciation is (kwet-la-sho-she).

Here's a little history if you're interested!  I stumbled upon it and was happy to learn about it.

Hope you enjoyed your stop here today!  Come again soon!

Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #10 - Gnomes Reminder

Playing along with this month's Reminder Post for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge!  Miss Ink Stamps is the sponsor and the theme is Christmas, Coffee and Gnomes!  Here's how I was inspired:

I used this cutie pie from the Coffee Gnomes stamp set along with a few other things from the Miss Ink Shop and a sneak peek of an upcoming die set that will be available soon!

I cut the tags first, once from plaid and once from white cardstock and then embossed the winter scene in onto the white tag.  Then I ink blended over it with a couple blues and finally stenciled on some snow with a the Tiny Snowfall Stencil and Glitz Glitter Gel! I assembled it all onto a card base after tying some twine to the tags.

Be sure to head on over to the blog and check out more inspiration and play along!  Thanks so much for stopping!  Come again soon!

More Non-Traditional Christmas With Miss Ink Stamps

I'm back with another one using Miss Ink Stamps and a similar background to one I posted yesterday.  All the details are in yesterday's post and you can check it out here if you'd like!

This time I used the Calm and Bright stamp set and colored it in a similar fashion to the images from Oh, Deer!  I just love this sweet mother and fawn image and these trees are so fun and easy to color!  I stamped and cut them out with the Scan N Cut and colored them with Copic Markers.  I also used the Diamond Fade Stencil 3 this time.

And I chose a sentiment from the Season's Greetings sentiment set... just love the font and size of these sentiments!  Perfect for any Christmas or Holiday card!  I should mention that awesome gold cardstock that I picked up at the stamp show in the Papercut booth!

Thanks so much for stopping!  I hope you enjoyed your visit and come back again tomorrow!

Miss Ink Winter Release - Snow Buddies!

We're sharing inspiration all week for the new release over at Miss Ink Stamps!  Today it's all about the Snow Buddies stamp set!  I've used it here along with some of the other new sets and created another shaker card!

To create my shaker I die cut a circle into my rectangle panel, added some acetate, and added some popup tape.  Over my base, I layered a rectangle panel that I stamped with the new Woodcut Floral stamp set in Versamark and heat embossed with a minty blue powder.  Then I added a circle that I stamped with the Snowy Village set and colored; some beautiful glitter shaker filling and then the die cut window panel popped up over the top.

Then these adorable Snow Buddies!!  How cute that they're building a snow rabbit!  I added a tree from the Calm and Bright set.

I added a sentiment from the Season's Greetings sentiment set and was lucky to have a piece of my embossed panel handy along with one of the cute little mice from Snow Buddies to embellish.  Just a few sequins scattered around and done!

Sweet right??  I LOVE all of the new sets available in the shop now!  You can find them all here!  And be sure to head on over to Miss Ink Stamps IG Account and comment on the graphic for each day's Release Giveaway for your chance to win!

I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Instagram Challenge which is Happy Holidays!  To play along just post your entry on Instagram and tag #SSSIGCHALLENGE!  You should definitely check it out!

Shaker Love!

So, yeah... I've been making a few shaker cards lately... but I did just go crazy buying sequins at Paper Sweeties and Pretty Pink Posh.... so... I have to use them!!  Paper Sweeties has some limited edition snowflake sequins that are oh so pretty...

Here I used that piece I cut out of my embossed background before I used it yesterday.  I stamped my cute little penguins from CTMH's Season's Greetings stamp set (as well as the sentiment), colored with the Shin Han markers and a little bit of Wink of Stella and cut them out.  The pink paper is old Fundamentals.  The frame was cut from glitter paper in design space.  I placed a rectangle on the screen.. made it the size I wanted... duplicated it, sized it a bit smaller (left the frame wide enough to fit some pop up tape).  I placed the rectangles one on top of another, selected both of them and chose to Align and Center.  Then while both were still selected, I Attached them so they would cut at the same time.  I still have the inside piece of glitter paper to use on another card... perhaps a shaker... perhaps this weekend :).  If I was really thinking ahead I could have placed a third rectangle on top and made a second frame for later use... Note to Self.

From an angle you can see the penguins a little more clearly... the caveat to the shaker is they are hard to photograph.. but oh so cool and pretty to look at and play with.  Oh... another tip I learned long ago from my crafty friend Melanie who you can find here, I always adhere a few sequins towards the top of my shaker base so even when it's just standing still they appear to be floating... (and... I usually adhere a few outside the box... cause the almighty sequin just can't be contained!)

Thanks for stopping by again!  Don't forget to come back Monday!
