Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - July 2026 Edition

It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas Cards we made this month!  After you are done here be sure to head on over to Debra and Michael's blogs to see their fantastic makes!

I got that fab deer die set from Honey Bee Stamps and needed to use it!  I haven't had much creative time lately and it felt good to sit down and make a couple cards.  I'm also playing along over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog's Challenge #221, Christmas in July 3-2-1 Recipe.

I used non-traditional colors, pink, green and teal.  The background is a foiled toner card front and the sentiment is from a Therm O Web Sentiment Card Front.  I used my favorite Hero Arts frame.

I just picked up this Photo Play Fa La La die from a local scrapbook store.  I had the perfect background already for a non traditional Christmas Card, and the snowflake die cuts from my stash just topped it all off with the Fa La La.

That's me for today!  Thanks for stopping and don't forget to use the links above to visit Debra and Michael's blogs!  And head over to the Double Trouble Challenge Blog and play along!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - September 2025 Edition

Hello!  I can hardly believe it's the 25th of September!  Debra and I are sharing the Christmas cards we made this month!

I created a couple cards using a couple great stencils from A Colorful Life Designs!

It was fun to blend a couple colors of ink and then add a little bit of Glitz Glitter Gel on the edges using a piece of cardstock as a simple mask.

I added sentiments from Honey Bee to all four of my cards.

And to this one I added a little pine branch behind the sentiment which also happened to cover up a mistake I made!

I also made a couple quick cards using some paper and ephemera from Not 2 Shabby!

Not 2 Shabby sponsored the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge this month and I couldn't help but make a couple more cards using these adorable Gingerbread People!

I just used that great photo frame from A Jillian Vance Design to hold the cute characters and again used a sentiment from Honey Bee.

Isn't the car just the cutest!?  The theme for this month's CCCC was Cookies and/or Candy so really this pack of ephemera was perfect.

That's me for today!  Be sure to hop on over to Debra's place to see what she created for you for today!  And come back here real soon!

Thanks for stopping!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - May 2024 Edition

Hello!  It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas cards we made this month!  Be sure when you leave here you check out what Debra and Michael have for you today!

Recently Honey Bee Stamps had a sale and I picked up some fun things in their shop!  That Peace word die and stamp set were perfect and I knew I'd use that Peace word for one or more Crafty Elves posts!

But when I came across this gel print in my stash with the pretty foiled snowflake on it, I knew the Peace would be perfect and then I saw that Helping Hand die set (which last I checked is only $3 on clearance!!) with the peace sign and I thought it would be fun to make the hand catching snowflakes and yeah... why not a peace sign!?  I used lots of papers from past and present Your Paper Insider boxes.  I love it!

That's me for today!  Don't forget to check out what Debra and Michael have created!  Thanks for stopping.  I hope you'll come again soon.

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - June 2021 Edition

Well!  Meeeerry Christmas!  It's that time of month again and the Crafty Elves are sharing the Christmas Cards we made this month!  Michael, Debra and I along with our guestie (again) Crystal have lots of fun for you (and a challenge)!  We sure hope you enjoy it!

Here's how I was inspired:

I fell in love with this sweet deer from the Silent Night stamp and die sets!  Not to mention all of the other lovely images.  (Psst... it's retiring and on sale in the HB shop here!)  I took a post vaccination mini trip to northern AZ a few weeks ago with my mom and used the weekend to color all of my images for today (except for my last card) including these.  And check out the paper I used today!!  This is a beautiful plaid paper pad from Memory Box and I picked it up at Ellen Hutson here!

I used a lot of the same colors for most of my cards, but a few extra for this one.

I also used this Honey Bee set, Snow Buddies (also on sale and retiring)!

And check out the Vintage Frame from A Jillian Vance Design.. one of my faves!

And for this one, another one of my fave frames from Rubbernecker Stamps!

I had stamped, cut and colored so many images I had some extras so made a snowman free card using this Photo Frame from AJVD.  And I used snowflakes from various companies and all of the sentiments for the above cards are from a fabulous set from Miss Ink, Seasons Greetings.

I thought I was done with all of my cards for the month and then remembered I had wanted to play along with the current Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Sketch Challenge #11!

I colored up some of the pups from an old MFT set and they were perfect!

So cute, right??

And these are the colors I used for the last 5 cards.

That's me for today!  Now be sure to head on over to my fellow crafty elves places to see what they've created for you for today!

And before you leave, I have a winner of some Happy Mail:

Crafty Elves' Countdown To Christmas-January 2021 Edition

Happy New Year!  We're back and doing it all over again!  My fellow Crafty Elves have committed to making a card a week for the year and we share what we've made on the 25th of the month.  That way when Christmas comes along next year all we have to do is mail them!  Now, sometimes we run short on time and just can't get them all made... but even if some month's we fall short, we still have fun and enjoy inspiring each other!

Here's how I was inspired this month:

I needed a quick and easy design for this month .. January is a rough one at my work.  And I thought of that gorgeous bow from The Greetery's Fit To Be Tied Die set and decided it was perfect!  My plan was to just add a tag to my card "present" with a sentiment but I wanted to play along with the current challenge over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog so I needed something with music and a zoo animal!  I decided to use some musical paper for my wrapping paper and this adorable llama and sentiment from this Woolly and Warm Llama stamp set (which is on sale!!)  Check out the details for the current DT Challenge here!

I added the llama and sentiment to a tag from A Jillian Vance Design!

I decided to use another llama from the Flora & Fauna set for this one... I had fun coloring these in light colors to go along with the beautiful vintagey papers from Tim Holtz.

I wished I'd used the "Woolly" sentiment from the llama set for this one since it was a sweater type pattern, but I think it's adorable just the same!

Since this paper had the Night Before Christmas text on it I decided a mouse would be the right thing... and this one with the little cocoa cup from Waffle Flower was perfect!  I used another sentiment from a Flora and Fauna set because it was just right and I love the little typewriter font!

I added gems to the center of that gorgeous bow for some extra bling.

I loved this paper from the Tim Holtz pad but it was much more dramatic than the others with all the black so I decided to treat it a little differently... I embellished with some gold leaves using some pretty A Jillian Vance Design dies and that Merry die from Honey Bee (Also on sale!) was just right with a black background!

I almost forgot to mention that I used the cool stitched strips from A Jillian Vance for the other part of my ribbon wrapping... they always come in so handy and are such a great set to have in your stash!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and don't forget to hop on over to Michael and Debra's places to see what they have for you today!

And I have a winner from last month's post!

Sue D!  Email me your snail mail so I can send you your prize at bzscrapper66 at gmail dot com!

Come back again soon!

The Cutting Cafe - Calendar Inspiration!

Welcome to some Calendar inspiration from the Cutting Cafe!  Today we're playing with the Calendar Holder with Front Box and the 2020 Calendar and I had lots of fun with mine!

The calendar comes in a bunch of different formats and sizes and I love that it has a front box to hold a Post-It pad and an optional box/tray that slides in at the bottom of the holder.  The holder is a big heavy with the Post-It pad in it, so it worked out perfectly to put some binder clips and a few other supplies in the tray, including my extra calendar pages.

I decided I wanted to use this Caffeinated Boxer from TRHD for my holder and when I remembered I had the dog house die from Honey Bee I knew they'd work together perfectly with this holder!

What a fun addition to my desk this will make!  And it would make a great holiday gift for anyone on your list too!  You could personalize it for the recipient.  So as not to cover up my dog house, I am using a simple dog bone paperclip to display my monthly calendar.  You could add it to the front of the Post-It box though if you wanted.

Eep!  I think everyone in my office is going to want one!...lol!  I might make a couple for my favorites.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be sure to head on over to the Cutting Cafe Blog and comment there for your chance to win three files of your choice!  And then check out what everyone has created with these fun files!

Spring/Summer 2019 Coffee Lover's Blog Hop Day 3 - Honey Bee Stamps!

I've got one more for Day 3 of the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!  Today I'm sharing a card made using some fantastic Honey Bee Stamps products and be sure you read to the end for your chance to win a Honey Bee Stamp Set!

Here's how I was inspired:

This is not just for the Coffee Lover's Hop, but it's also for the current challenge over at the Honey Bee Stamps Buzzworthy Challenges on Facebook!  The challenge is:

And yes, this is a Mother's Day card!  My mom and I share this passion for cardmaking and the Coffee Lover's Group and coffee!  Who do you think went on the hunt for Bubble Tea with me last week??  So this is a fitting design for her.  Really the only problem is it won't be a surprise because I'm sure she will see this...lol!

Of course I used the Frappe and To Go Coffee Cups from the Coffee Break stamp set!  It's Summer!  A Frappe is in order!

And this gorgeous border from the Zen Floral stamp set... LOVE!! (Definitely worth getting the coordinating dies!)

And I built my sentiment from the most awesome Perfect Blend sentiment set... I used my Misti to stamp the top and bottom line of the sentiment directly onto my card base and then stamped and fussy cut the word Latte.  I added one of the solo flowers from the Zen Floral set under the Latte to add a little weight to that corner of the card... and because it's pretty!

And a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and I am done!

In addition to the challenge over at Honey Bee, I'm also playing along at Kat Scrappiness May Challenge which is Coffee with Mom... perfect, right??

Now for the giveaway!  I find myself with an extra Perfect Blend stamp set!  I'm giving it away to one lucky visitor/commenter to my blog!  I will choose a name from all of the comments left on all of my posts linked up to the Coffee Hop to send it to!  If you already have it or aren't interested, please do let me know in your comment that you would like to Opt Out of the drawing.  But if you don't have it and you like to make Coffee/Tea cards, then you definitely want to Opt In!
