Coffee Lovers Spring/Summer 2021 Blog Hop-Last Call With Miss Ink!

Welcome to the last day of the Spring/Summer 2021 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  You have until the end of today to create and link up for chances to win some fabulous prizes from even fabulous-er Sponsors!

Here's how I was inspired today:

This Jitters stamp set from Miss Ink Stamps is SO fun and awesome!  It's a background stamp, but also includes those fun images and some wonderful sentiments!

I started by stamping the background in Versamark and heat embossing with some Mixed Media Powder from Ranger.  This is easiest using a stamp positioner like the Misti so you can be sure to get great coverage as with all background stamps.  Then I blended some Distress Oxides over it and wiped it off with a paper towel.

It turned out I had that awesome square frame in my stash and the colors were perfect and although it's plaid I thought it was perfect even with the busy background... probably because the colors were SO close... I love the patterns together!

I just added my stamped, cut and colored images with popup tape and the sentiment.

There is a sale going on all caffeinated products in the Miss Ink shop and this one is on sale at a great price!  So worth adding to your stash!  The images are great on their own or as part of a larger scene.

Thank you for stopping today!!  Be sure to play along with the hop.  Have fun and good luck!!  It is tax season and I'm hopping a bit... I won't be able to comment everywhere I stop, but I will be visiting each one of you for sure.

Crazy 4 Challenges C4C513 - Inspiration Photo

I've had this much fun this month hanging out with the ladies over at the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog!  Thanks to them for having me!

This week we have an Inspiration Photo for you:
When I first saw this photo I thought of rain...and then I realized that the glow from that big beautiful yellow umbrella was really what drew my eye.  Here's how I was inspired:

I do love that steely gray background in the photo and it made me think of this Foil from Brutus Monroe.  I used the Jitters stencil from Miss Ink to apply some Deco Foil Transfer Gel to my cardstock panel and then ran it through my Minc with the Foil.  With the flecks of black, silver, and gold and the vertical lines of the stencil I got the feel of that background.. with a little bit of shine!

Then I pulled out the beautiful Gardenia stamp set from Miss Ink and decided although probably you don't see yellow Gardenias usually, in this craft world of mine, why not??  I needed to recreate that beautiful hopeful glow of the yellow umbrella so I did.  I chose to further highlight it using this circle frame from MFT to create a shaker and I had the perfect mix (I believe it's an old CDD mix).  It had the silver, black and yellow (including yellow flowers!) in it as if it was made for this card.

And I decided this would be a happy card.. it's a congrats for anything!  Maybe an anniversary?  Or really any occasion worth celebrating.  That Woot! from the Everyday Sentiments set... just HAD to use it!

And then a Congratulations and another flower at the top along with a few more sequins.

So there you have it!   How are you inspired by that photo?  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping and hope you'll come back soon!

Poe Me A Cup - Miss Ink Stamps

Hello!  So glad you stopped by today!  I'm sharing a project using the Just Be-Caws set from Miss Ink Stamps just released in September.  I LOVE this set and it's punny sentiments!

I started by creating my background using the Jitters stencil and used it to apply Decofoil Transfer Gel to black cardstock.  Once it was dry, I ran it through my Minc machine with an Opal Decofoil Transfer Sheet.

Love the various positions of the ravens in this set!  The caw-ing ones are my favorite... but I love them all..

Not to mention the so punny sentiments!  This is one of my faves for sure!  And the shine of that Opal foil.... it reminds me of a raven's feathers...they are almost irridescent...

So pretty and cool!

I'm playing along over at Double Trouble's Masking Challenge!  And I've met the twist with my beautiful Crow... (well, it's a Raven and they are two different things, but pretty sure they might be found in a pumpkin patch also.. .I'll leave that up to you!)

Thanks so much for stopping!  Hope you enjoyed it!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for Part II of the Pumpkin Background!

Miss Ink Release Day! - Jitters and Just Be-Caws!

Woo Hoo!  It's finally Release Day over at Miss Ink Stamps and you can get all of the awesome new stamps and stencils today!   We're all sharing some more inspiration with the new sets over in Instagram and here's what I have for you today:

I used the fantastic Jitters background for my middle layer and what a cool edging it makes for my panel stamped with the ravens from Just Be-Caws!  (I'm only wishing I had cut the middle out before I added it to my card so I could use it on another!!!...lol!  So unlike me to not!)

The ravens and rose make the perfect background without any coloring.  I used my Misti to stamp the birds so I knew I could get them where I wanted them.  And another of those awesome punny sentiments...lol!  Love it.  The roses make a great embellishment and add a pop of color.

And then in the middle of the night I thought of this:

I think this Jitters background is my new favorite!  I had fun and used my Misti with the stamp... first inking up the yellow at the bottom.  Then I cleaned off the stamp and inked up some orange and then again with yellow.  Before removing the stamp, I cleaned it again and added versamark to the whole thing and embossed with some Wow Clear Embossing Powder.

I love the shine the embossing powder gives!  And these images included with the Jitters background!!  So fun!  They're floating on clouds... because this is how it feels when I take that first sip...lol!

And I made my syrup Pumpkin Spice again... 'cause right now... there is no other!  Love the sentiments included in the Jitters set also!

Here's another quick look at both:

Don't feel like coloring but love this Just Be-Cause set?  It's so cool in black and white!

I'm playing along with the Monday Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp which is Stamp It!  I certainly have!

And this one just makes me smile.... and with this one I'm playing along over at Simon Says Stamp's Bling It On Wednesday Challenge!  You should too!

So thanks very much for stopping by!  I'm so excited to be guesting with Miss Ink through October so I'll be bringing you more fun with new sets and prior release sets as well!  I can't wait!

Miss Ink New Release Sneak Peeks - Jitters!

Excited and honored to be guesting with Miss Ink Stamps for the September Release and today is Sneaky Peek day!  We're sharing projects made using the new Jitters and Ravens Stamp Sets!  Here's how I was inspired:

I just love these two sets together!  The Ravens set is so fun with some really cool images and awesomely wicked sentiments!...lol!  It's fantastic!

The Jitters set comes with a huge background that is modeled after the Jitters Stencil.  SO cool!  I stamped it on my background panel in Versamark and heat embossed it with Ranger Black Glitter embossing powder.  It made the perfect backdrop for the Ravens!

And speaking of the ravens... LOVE!  The coffee cup, rose, books and wonderful spooky candelabra are included in the set and....

Have I mentioned the sentiments??? Poe Me A Cup??  Let's Get Cawed Up?? Hahaha!  I love punny sentiments and how cool is this one!?  And of course I love the coffee element!

The Jitters set also has a few images and sentiments in it, so I did this:

Don't you just love this coffee maker and the blender and syrup bottle??  I used some design paper this time and colored my images with Copics in coordinating colors.

I'm pretty sure I need one of these for my house...lol!

And I decorated my little syrup label bottle myself... my favorite right now... Pumpkin Spice of course!  And the sentiment!!!  Love!
