Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #22 - Gnomes with Miss Ink Stamps!

It's time for a new Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge!  This month's theme is Gnomes and our sponsor is Miss Ink Stamps!  Create a coffee, tea or cocoa themed Christmas Card that has at least one gnome on it for your chance to win a $25 gift code to the Miss Ink Stamps shop!

I used Java Joe for the coffee house in the background and Birthday Gnomes for my gnome that is doing some Christmas Shopping!  'Tis the Season!  (Almost)

Soon I'll be shopping and downing lots of extra coffee while I do it!  I'm in south west Arizona so probably there won't be a snow storm while I'm doing it but I might be dressed like this cute little gnome.

I added a tiny coffee cup.  I LOVE this cup that I got from a good friend once and it's gotten quite a bit of use.  I dare you to find me a smaller cup! (seriously... find me one!)

Miss Ink Stamps - Hug In A Mug Stencil!

Welcome back!  I've got some more caffeinated fun from Miss Ink Stamps for you today!  I used the new Hug In A Mug Stencil Set!

I also used a leftover from the Coffee Graphics stenciling that I did for yesterday's project.  I wasn't happy with the way the entire thing turned out, but it was perfect to cut one out for this one.

I stenciled the mugs in a rainbow color and then added detail with some black Glitz Glitter Gel!  Then I decided to create a second panel to cut some more mugs from to add as embellishments.

Finally, a simple sentiment from the Java Joe Stamp Set and done!

Miss Ink Stamps - Getting Blitzened!

Miss Ink Stamps - Have a Grande Day

Welcome back!  I've got some more caffeinated Miss Ink Stamps for you again today!  I'm linking it up to the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Today is the last day to link up and you can get all of the details here!

I decided to use the bleach technique again because it's been a while.  I stamped the images onto the cardstock with Memento Ink and then without removing the stamp or image from the Misti stamped it again with Versamark.  Then I heat embossed with clear gloss embossing powder.

Then I used a paint brush and some bleach and applied it over the image which bleached out the brown from the cardstock.  I splattered a little bleach over the card. Then I went in and watercolored the images with a different water brush and my watercolor pencils.

Finally I used the Diamond Fade stencil and some Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide to add some interest to the background and stamped and embossed the sentiment using my Misti.

Caffeine Fueled Paper Play Challenge Reminder with Miss Ink!

Super quick post today to remind you that you have today and tomorrow to play along with the Caffeine Fueled Paper Play Challenge over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog!  Miss Ink is the sponsor and you could win the fabulous Java Joe's stamp set!  I have a little inspiration for you today!

The Java Joe's set is SO fun!  It's a little cafe along with quite a few related images and some great sentiments!  I decided to make a quick and flat (aka easily mailable) card!

I stamped the building and pot images offset on my panel using Copic friendly ink.  Then I masked off the potted plant and building and added a few of the included bricks AND used the Jitters stencil to add a little "sky" to the scene.  (I imagine the sky might look like this in the atmosphere around a coffee shop.. if you look closely!) I colored the whole thing in with light colors (channeled my inner Amy for this one and really had to work hard to not make everything too bright because it's not the look I was going for)!  Finally I added some dots at the bottom and colored in a bit to ground my images.  Easy peasy!

And I decided on this fun sentiment and that it would span the entire card (because I ripped my paper a bit around that area...lol!  Sometimes the card chooses the design...lol!  I just added a few beautiful Buttercup sequins from Kat Scrappiness and I was done!

I love that I can just drop this one in my mailbox and don't have to trek to the post office to mail it!

Miss Ink Stamps Mini Release - Grab Life By the Beans!

Excited to be participating in the Mini Release of 4 new stencils over at Miss Ink Stamps!  The Basic Stencils: Stripes, Scallop, Waves and Chevron are available in the shop now and you can even buy them in a bundle at a discount for a limited time!  All are available individually as well so get them all or get your favorite, but I think you're wanna get them all...lol!

Here's how I was inspired for today:

I used the Scallop Stencil for this one.  I love how the lines on each of these stencils become gradually thinner... so cool!  I decided to create my background using some gold texture paste.... one of my faves!

I applied the texture paste through the stencil and before it dried too much, I used a towel to texturize the texture paste!  I love the look of it and if you don't look too closely it almost looks like glitter tape because of the texture.

The smaller floral from the Brewtiful stamp set was just right for this design.  I LOVE coloring the Coffee Plant florals from the Brewtiful set... I love how the red beans pop against the "almost" white flowers.  I do use a bit of artistic license, but just a little...

And this sentiment from the Java Joe's set was perfect... 'cause... well... the beans!!

Just a few sequins and I was done!
