The Cutting Cafe - Easter Inspiration!

Welcome to some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  This time around we're sharing projects made with some of the many awesome Easter themed files available over at the Cutting Cafe!  I'm using the Easter Shaker Cards file today.

This is a very cool set of Shaker Cards/Overlays... there are various egg overlays including this one with the tulip shape on it and a few others.  There is also a bunny shaped card included in the set (and you'll be seeing that one soon!)

With this tulip overlay egg shape, there is also an extra layer for the tulip which I cut in green and the flowers which I cut in a darker pink.  I filled my shaker with the Springtime Blend from Sparkle Blends.  And I loved the tulip SO much I decided to cut an extra and do this:

I've been wanting to play along over at the Tag You're It Challenge for a  while since it's all about Coffee Break.. of course I needed to play along!

I used my favorite tag die from Stamplorations and this cup was perfect for that beautiful tulip to be placed into!

I chose that pretty Hugs die from Stamplorations and cut it from green glitter paper to keep it pretty, sparkly and still kinda subtle.  I think maybe I should cut a bunch of these tulips in a bunch of pretty spring colors!

Be sure to check out what everyone has created over at The Cutting Cafe Blog!  Comment there for a chance to win three files of your choice!

Hope you enjoyed your visit here today!  I'm playing along with the following challenges:

As previously discussed over at Tag You're It it's all about the Coffee Break

Over at Stamplorations Cutplorations Challenge there's a pretty Easter/Spring themed photo

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas-March 2019

Welcome to the March edition of Crafty Elves!  My bloggy friend Debra Davison (of Meticulosity) have vowed to create a Christmas Card a week for 2019 so that when Christmas comes, all of our cards are done!  We're sharing our makes on the 25th of each month!

I'll tell you... it's tax season for me and if I can push through this next two months I've got it made!  And I made it this month with the help of some awesome design papers and quick and easy cards!  Here's what I have for you:

So I decided to use the comfy cozy Echo Park/Carta Bella Cabin Fever papers... between the papers and the journal cards, four of these cards went together in about 45 minutes!   And then I wanted to do one really special card for you this month and it just so happens Michele over at CAS-ual Fridays has just released a die set called Huggable Critters and when I saw the journal card with the "Bear Hugs" sentiment on it... I knew right away what I was going to do!

I used some papers from the Cabin Fever paper pack to cut out all of my pieces... including that cool brown sweater pattern I used for my bear and that pretty plaid for my Coffee Cup

I originally had the handle tucked under the bear's paw, but I wanted it to be like he had his paw inside the handle.  It wouldn't fit, so I cut the handle and sliced his paw a big to have it go into his paw... you know, as if some of his fur was going around the outside of it... I think all in all it looks pretty good and I love that the handle can show!

I mean a bear sized mug would definitely be more like a Bear Hug in a Mug, don't you think??

Now for a quick look at the rest of my cards for this month:

To add a little special to these, I used some dies and embossing folders and I'm really pleased with how they turned out.  In addition to the journal cards, I used some of the stickers from the pack and some popup tape and of course a few sequins on each one!

I LOVE this paper pack!  The papers are heavy and textured and so beautiful!

That woodgrain with the snowflakes... as you can see... is one of my faves!

Not to mention the large quantity of plaid...lol!  And then one more look at my Huggable Critter:

Gosh I LOVE this new die set!  If you haven't checked out the new release inspiration at CAS-ual Fridays, I highly suggest  you head over there after you check out what Debra has created for you today!

Oh!!  And the winner of some Happy Mail from February's post is:

The Cutting Cafe Inspiration - Christmas and Coffee

Welcome to some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  This time around it's Designers Choice-Christmas!  Well, of courses I threw in a cuppa!

Did you know that The Cutting Cafe has a whole bunch of Coffee Themed files?  You can find some of them right here including one of my faves, this Coffee Cup Shaped Card 2!  It contains all of the pieces you need to put together a fun To Go Cup shaped card.  I used some Photo Play Mad 4 Plaid Christmas papers for this one.

Then I added that pretty Sentiment that I printed from the printable stamp set.  I diecut the beautiful scene inside the circle from the paper pad.  Then I embellished with some of those pretty handmade flowers that I made a couple weeks go to go in the pretty Embellishment Gift Boxes.  You can check those out here if you'd like!

My second card was lucky to get dressed up with the Echo Park Coffee papers!  You can get those right in the Cutting Cafe Shop here!

For the sentiment I used one of the die cut pieces from the Ephemera Pack that goes with the paper pad.  I added a few of the white flowers to this one.

What's really cool about this Coffee Cup cutting file, is it includes a little pocket for the inside of the card so that you can slide a gift card right into it... you can use it or not!

Be sure to pop by the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and comment there before you hop around and see what everyone else has made for Christmas!  You could win three files of your choice from the shop!

Did you know that the Cutting Cafe is Sponsoring the Fall/Winter 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop??  Just create a new project with a theme of Fall or Winter that includes coffee, tea, or cocoa and link it up for a chance to win one of many wonderful prizes!  I'm linking my Christmas card up over there!  You should play along!  You have until Friday at 11:55 pm Pacific time!  Be there or be square!

Cutting Cafe Inspiration-A Happy Fall Scene

Happy Fall!  And Welcome today to some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  Today we're playing with the Happy Fall Scene Card file and the Welcome to the Neighborhood Scene Card files and I've used the Happy Fall Scene Card for this one!  This file is actually very cool and the shaped card includes a truck that I will definitely be playing with soon but for today, I used some of the accessories to create my own little Fall Scene... you know how I feel about Sassy Owl and I haven't inked her up in a while so I thought it was about time!

Sassy Owl (My name for her) is from the From Owl Of Us stamp set available at the Cutting Cafe Shop which is a Owfully cute set of various owls and sentiments and the sentiment I used today is from a fall custom set I had made at the Cutting Cafe Shop.  The pumpkins, leaves, and tree are all from the Happy Fall Scene Card file.

Sometimes instead of cutting each separate color, I like to cut all of my pieces in white and then color them in the colors I want them.  For this one, I used my watercolor pencils and waterbrush.  I love doing this because I can decide the colors I want as I put it all together.  I used Echo Park Fall Is In The Air 6x6 paper pad that is available in the shop as well!

So that's me for today!  Please be sure to hop on over to the Cutting Cafe Blog and comment there for a chance to win some free files!  And then check out what everyone has made for you today... you're gonna see some pretty awesome stuff!

Thanks for stopping and come back soon!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Fall 2017-Day 1!!

Whoop-tee-doooo!  It's here!!  I thought this day would never come.  I put out coffee and cookies for Amy (she either doesn't eat much or she didn't show.. so I'm stuffing my face right now); I wore my special coffee pj's; and I requested Monday off because for some reason unbeknownst to me, not everyone celebrates the start of each Coffee Hop... is it not a National Holiday yet?

If you've never played along, you should!  You can get all of the details here!  The short of it is, create any new project that is Coffee, tea or cocoa themed and for the Fall hop also Fall themed and link it up!  There are over 80 sponsors offering up some very awesome prizes!  Hop on over to the Coffee Lovers Blog... visit some people, get some inspiration and leave some love.. especially all of the awesome sponsors!  Then get to work and get some hot beverage craftiness going!  I'll be seeing you at some point for sure if you play along because I try really hard to visit each and every one of you!

Also, I'm hosting a giveaway this time around... check it out at the end of this post!

Speaking of Sponsors, for my first project I'm using a couple sets I won during the Summer hop and thought it would be fitting to say thanks!  So thanks so much Jane's Doodles for my awesome prizes!  Here's what I have for you today!

I am SO nuts about coffee!  The sets I won from Jane's Doodles are Nuts About You and Coffee Time.  Isn't that squirrel just the cutest??  I colored everything using my Albrecht Durer Watercolor pencils and a water brush.  I love the variations in color that the watercoloring gives.

I wanted my little guy to be sitting on a stump so I pulled out the Scene Builder Dies from Craftin Desert Divas and used the tree stump from that set... it has stitches in all of the right places!  I diecut it in white and colored it with some watercolor.  It was perfect!

For my background layers, I used some stitched ovals from C.C. Designs and cut the top layer from that piece of watercolored paper I created to cut leaves out of... turns out it makes a good background too!

Do you see that teeny tiny adorable little cup???  I got that as a gift from a quite awesome crafty friend and I was so excited because while it's way too small for me, it's the perfect size for so many of the little critter and character stamps I have... LOVE that!  It's a Memory Box die... and I think you can get it here if you want it, but it just might be available in one of the Super Sponsor stores too so you should look if you're shopping... it is a definite must have for any Coffee Lover Hop Lover!  To think I'd gone so long not realizing I needed this tiny cup!  Thank you so much quite awesome crafty friend!

The coffee set from Janes Doodles... awesome!

The Coffee word die is from Your Next Stamp and it's great to turn any sentiment into a coffee sentiment!

So!  In an effort to support my Niece's little business, Little Lake Erie (she collects beach glass from the shores of Lake Erie and creates jewelry), I commissioned a couple special pieces and I'm giving away two of these really beautiful bracelets to two lucky commentors!

If you want to check out her little shop you can do so here!

And she will take special orders!  (Do you see that cute little heart punched out of the glass???)

So I'll be choosing winners from all of my blog posts during the hop!  Stop by ... let me know you were here... and make me smile (It's pretty easy to do)!

So!  Thank you SO much for stopping by here today!!  See you around the hop!
