Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenges-Christmas/Winter/Holiday

Welcome to the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge #21!  For December our challenge is Christmas/Winter/Holiday!  Here's how I was inpired:

So, surprise... there is a coffee/cocoa element to my card!..lol!  You'll find out why in just a bit if you don't already know.

But you should also know that we are collaborating again with the ladies over at Double Trouble Challenges!  Double Trouble is a fun challenge blog that likes to get together with other challenges and support each other.  You get chances to win a very thoughtful and cool prize and the more challenge elements you meet the more chances you get!  The Challenge over at Double Trouble during our collaboration is Embossing... any kind!  There is also a fun twist over there which is Let It Snow... add anything snow for an extra chance to win!  AND as if you didn't know, the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is going on right now and at Double Trouble, if you also play along over there by adding a Coffee, Cocoa, or Tea element to your creation, you not only can link up at Coffee Lovers, but you get an extra chance to win at Double Trouble!  I should have plenty of chances with my card because I've added it all!

I started by coloring this gorgeous and nostalgic image from the Snuggle Down stamp set from Power Poppy Stamps over Thanksgiving weekend.  I just LOVE how cozy it feels and it is perfect with that beautiful pack of retired CTMH paper, Jack.  If I could get my hands on another pack, I would... awesome awesome papers in that one.  I cut my rectangle layers using the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies from Kat Scrappiness and the banners were cut using the Fishtail Banners from MFT.  And the double fishtail is from the Flag Banner Dies from Craftin Desert Divas.. another one of my most used sets!  And then there are the awesome glittery snowflakes cut from some glitter paper from Lawn Fawn.  Take Note - Embossed Sentiment, Snowflakes, Coffee and Cocoa.  Right??  How easy was that?!

I hope you enjoyed your stop today and I hope you'll play along with us over at Three Amigos as well as check out what is going on over at Double Trouble and The Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!  Be sure to hop on over to Donna and Susan's place and check out what they've created too!

Be sure to come back soon... I'll be sharing all things coffee, tea and cocoa all week long!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #248

Welcome to this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  Today I'm playing along with a few other challenges as well!  My Coffee Lovin' Cohort Laurel Seabrook hosts a challenge that I found last week called Inspired By and the Inspiration Photo is below.  I was inspired by the black and white and gold and the patterns and my mind went to this paper from the jack paper pack.  I was also inspired by the beautiful Vintage Roses stamps from Altenew that she used in her project.  I got that set so long ago and have been afraid to use it because of the layering.  So this weekend I pulled it out and was surprised at how easily these came together and I didn't even end up crying like I have with some layered sets...lol!

So I checked out the Altenew challenge blog and chose my colors from the Sketch Challenge which allows you to be inspired by the Sketch, the colors, the composition, or the elements or all of the above!  I chose the colors since I already had the Atlantic Hearts sketch to use... and they were perfect!  AND I checked out the Tic Tac Toe Challenge over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday and found a row I could definitely work with.  The board is below and I chose the diagonal Flower, Embossing, and Butterfly which was also just right for this card!  That pretty butterfly diecut is from Memory Box and the gold foil paper was just the ticket.

And I've also had this awesome sentiment set from Altenew in these fun fonts, Painted Inspiration forever!  I bought it at a stamp show back in NY at the Right At Home booth... embossed in gold...

So thanks for stopping by!  Hope you will play along over at Atlantic Hearts this week!  And you may want to pair it up with some of these other challenges as well!

Here's this week's sketch!

And this is the color pallet that inspired me:

With a little bit of pretty black and white geometric pattern and a touch of gold:

Three Amigos Jack Inspiration for a Tuesday!

So happy you stopped by today!  I can't seem to get enough of these Jack papers and wanted to play along with a couple challenges as well, so I made a quick card this morning..

Don't you just love that second layer from the bottom??  I cut that with a die from Reverse Confetti!  The set comes with three different sized dies all like this one and the largest (shown here) is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 so you could use it as your whole bottom layer.  I wanted a white border so (sorry Mom) I made my card 1/4" bigger than usual.  (You see... she often puts my card fronts on bases for me and she gets quite aggravated when I go rogue and use a non-traditional size...lol!)  She may just give notice soon...

I so love the Inspire sentiment stamp set from CTMH... it's got four beautiful sentiments on it and decided the sentiment would be front and center for this one.. I am normally a rule follower in life.. I don't like to make waves.. but to be honest.. when it comes to the crafty world, I don't even know what the rules are... people try to tell me sometimes, but I just start to hear music in my head... sorry not sorry!

I knew I wanted to use some pretty white lace with this Buffalo Plaid paper... I love the contrast of the kind of manly print and the airy lace.  That heart is from Fun Stampers Journey and those pretty little pearly "flowers" were sent to me by a friend.  They were actually in a string but I found I could cut them apart with no problem and they were a perfect replacement for sequins on this one.  The chipboard arrows are from the Jack Complements.

And I love to keep some premade paper flowers on hand for when I don't have the time to create my own.. these are my two favorites and I got them at Hobby Lobby... I stock up when they're on sale.

Hope you like it!  There are still a few days left to play along with us at Three Amigos!  We do send out a small gift to the randomly drawn winner so even  more fun!  We hope you'll play along!

Today I'm also playing along with the Heart2Heart Anything Goes CTMH Style challenge!  You should check it out... you have to use at least one CTMH product...  and speaking of rule breaking... Color My Heart Color Dare is also playing with the Jack paper pack this time around and I intended on joining that one, but I made a mistake and didn't realize you had to use ALL the colors in the paper pack this time around so I'm not linking up, but you can!  So check them out too... that one goes 'til Thursday.

The Cutting Cafe Inspiration for August 2017-3D Cup

Welcome to some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  This time around we're playing with the 3-D Cup File and I used it to create this manly gift set...

I'm in love with this cup file!  I used it back during the Summer 2017 Coffee Hop and if you'd like to see that project just click here!  Today I used it for a Coffee gift for a manly man...

I used some coordinating papers and my custom stamp set from The Cutting Cafe Shop for the card to go along with it.  You can see the entire set by clicking here!

He's a cute little manly man, isn't he?

I used the very cool Coffee Sentiments printable set that comes with the 3D Cup file and some dies, stickers and sequins to create the tags..

I suppose the best part is what's inside... I think he'll like it!

So thanks for stopping by!  And don't forget to check out what the rest of the Design Team has created for you.. you can start at The Cutting Cafe Blog here on or after August 21st (tomorrow as I'm typing this!)

Come back soon!

Three Amigos-Jack Inspiration

Popping in for some quick inspiration for the August 2017 Jack Inspiration Challenge at Three Amigos!  Here I used it for a 'masculine'? card... I mean.. yeah... it has flowers but my husband would expect nothing less from me...lol!

I'm also playing along with the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #256!  You still have today to whip something up... I made this one in about half an hour... you've got like 11!  And Three Amigos runs all month so if you create something, link up to both!

I just love this stamp set called My Anchor from CTMH... I think it's retired now, but I still love it.  It was a stamp and die set and I'm so glad I got the dies for these since some of the cuts wouldn't work with my Brother.  There are a few stamp and die sets retiring at the end of this month so check them out!  You can find them here!

I very rarely do too much planning so I had my background layers down and then wasn't sure how I was going to incorporate the peacock... it's such a dark blue and so close to black... so just using it and the Juniper for accents worked out well...

So yeah.. play along!

Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge #5 - Jack

Welcome to the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge for August 2017! This month we are challenging you to use the Close To My Heart Jack papers or be inspired by the colors in the paper pack and create something new, link up, and you could win a small prize!
Here is the paper pack:
Just LOVE all of the prints in this paper pack!  And the manly colors... they'll be great for some Christmas cards too, don't you think?.... Here's what I've made for you today:

I adore the Jack Cardmaking Stamp set and Thin Cuts... this bear is so sweet, and his arms are stamped and cut out separately and you can have them out like I have them here or you can have him holding something in front of himself... and there are all kinds of cute images and sayings on this set... Bear Hugs is one of them!

If you love the stitching on my layers, I recently bought these dies from Stamplorations.. LOVE them... I've used all three dies in the set on this card... I loves me some stitches!

So sweet, right?  And the trees and handsome plaid mat for my sentiment are from the Jack Complements packet.  Those sequins are from the Silver Sequins assortment.. love how dark these ones are... they go perfectly with this paper...

That's it... quick one today because I'm on vacation!

Now be sure to check out what Donna and Susan have created for you!  And we hope you'll play along with us in August!  And for more information about our challenges and to link up, head on over to the Three Amigos Blog here!

Come back soon for some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!
