Coffee Lover's Blog Hop-Day 2

So glad you could stop by for my second project for the Fall 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  This time around I'm playing with the adorable freebie Brentwood digi from JessicaLynnOriginal.com....

Well, this is nothing how I planned it!  I knew I wanted to use my new borders from CDD for the background but my plan was to use the pretty trees and watercolor them pretty colors with a beautiful blue sky... and as I was looking at this image more, and colored him in... and made the cup orange and thought about the sentiment, I decided to use the haunted landscape border instead.  So for the sky?  Well, of course it had to be nighttime and of course I wanted to create a galaxy background!  There's a very cool video here if you want to check it out... when you're done here of course!

I did some "loose" coloring on this one for the leaves especially.. I like the way it turned out.. basically you just color in and leave some of the edges clean .. it's just a different look and I've been wanting to try it out so I did!  My image covered one of the trees in the border, so I cut it off and used it in front with my cup along with a few sequins and some bat stickers from my stash... I was just going to diecut a couple little bat shadows... but I loved these guys with their wonky eyes and I thought they were just right.

And then I just added the Happy Halloween sentiment from the Come In For a Bite Cupcake monsters set over at JessicaLynnOriginal to finish it off and embossed it in white.

Before you go!  Don't forget about my Giveaway!  When the hop is over I will choose two lucky commentors to win one of these two awesome bracelets made by my Niece, Emily:

She collects glass from the shores of Lake Erie and creates jewelry.  She made these especially for me to give during the hop and she has a small Etsy Shop here if you want to check it out.

And she will take special orders!  So let me know you were here and make me smile on any and/or all of my posts and one of these could show up in your mailbox!  And I don't care where you live!  I think it's neat to send stuff around the world!

Come back soon for some more coffee goodness!

Coffee Lover's Hop Day 5 - Brentwood Is My Favorite

Day 5 - Already??  I've got some more Brentwood for you today!  This time it's a cup with Brentwood holding a cup with Brentwood...

I LOVE this digi!  Can you tell?  This one is available in the shop right now for only $1.99!  All digis are on sale!  You can find a whole bunch of coffee digis right here!  This time I used the Coffee Cup Shaped Card cutting file from The Cutting Cafe as my card base...

I surrounded Brentwood with some beautiful vellum flowers that I got at Michael's to kind of mirror the pink daisy that's surrounding Brentwood on the cup he's holding... and just so you know... I'm assuming that flower Brentwood is also holding a cup with Brentwood on it... you just can't see it...

I had a really hard time with the sentiment... I wanted to use this one from Paper Smooches (because Brentwood is my favorite... and this mug is his favorite... and I'm sure I'll be giving it to one of my favorite people), but I didn't think I had room for it without covering up my guy... and then it struck me!  Vellum... and cut it out and it was perfect!!

So thanks for stopping by yet again!  Come back for more coffee.. you can sign up for email notifications in the sidebar if you'd like!  Let me know you were here and I'll visit you back if I can find you!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 2 - Here Comes The Sun!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Summer 2017 Coffee Lovers Hop!  I'm back with some more Brentwood!

Today I'm using the freebie that JessicaLynnOriginal is sharing for the hop and you can get it here!  Love to see Brentwood so relaxed... still in his jammies sitting in his nicely decorated bachelor pad... he has such an eye for decor don't you think?

I decided that Bachelor Brentwood would be the plaid recliner/wood paneling kind of guy.  I personally like plaid and wood and that's fine with me!  I love that this cup is blank and you can add whatever you'd like to it or just color it.  I made a little desert scene on mine.  I was coloring with Copics so I penciled in the cactus drawing first and then finalized it with my Copic multiliner pen and then made sure all of the pencil lines were erased before adding the ink.. once you color over a pencil mark with a Copic marker it's there for good.  Then I colored in my cactus and background... I'd buy that mug!

I decided that my sentiment would be a wall hanging... at first I was going to make the picture on the wall a picture of perhaps a Mrs. Brentwood, but I really didn't have room for that.  So, I pulled up this awesome sentiment and sun that Verve shared during one of the past coffee hops and was able to size it perfectly for my space...

I've had this window die from Memory Box for quite some time and just hadn't gotten around to using it... why?  I don't have any idea because it's awesome!  I cut my background for my outdoor scene to size and then created my background with my copics.

I wasn't really planning on curtains, but that area needed something because the bottom of the card was too heavy for the top and then I came across the perfect "fabric" for Brentwood's curtains... this was from a paper pad I got quite a while ago too, Happy Day from Pebbles.  Now, there are quite a few awesome printed pieces in this pack...but seriously.. I bought it for the two pieces of coffee cup paper ... lol!  Don't judge... I know you'd do the same!

And finally I knew Brentwood needed a friend to share his morning coffee with.  Don't worry... he's the kind of owl that would much rather drink his morning coffee than chase after mice.  That cute little guy is from CDD and the cactus digi from Bella Parodi was already printed in the perfect size and made the perfect "houseplant" for Brentwood.

So thanks for stopping by again!  I'll be back soon with some more coffee goodness! And don't forget to checkout the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog for all the details about this awesome and fun hop including a huge list of awesome sponsors!

Coffee Hop Day 2 - What's A Coffee Hop Without Brentwood?!

Welcome to the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop-Day 2!  If you've never played along...get more info here and join us!

Today we're playing with the most beautiful free image from JessicaLynnOriginal, and you can download it here to play along!  I used it along with another one of Jessica's new coffee related digital images available for purchase in the shop; that great sign and cup holder, and you can see them all here!

This cup image is soooo beautiful!  Love those flowers!  I added the stripes to the cup and I cut out and popped up the flowers.... and do you see what I see hanging there behind it??  I think there really should be cups like that for sale... I'd buy one (Jessica?)...

I made my countertop ... or backsplash? tiled with a little bit of green... that was fun!

So the sign digi comes with that cute cup in the middle as it is with that funny sentiment... I decorated the other two.. I added my initial and that cute little coffee digi from an earlier hop to my cups before I printed the sign.

Thanks for stopping by and please do come back tomorrow for yet another Coffee card!  Yup!   I'll be here all week!  See you around the hop!

Tiki Hawaiian Vacation-Sounds About Right Right Now

Today's the day!  This adorable and fun stamp set will start shipping today and you still have a little bit of time to get it shipped for free!  Order Tiki Hawaiian Vacation Featuring Brentwood by midnight and save on shipping!  And if you've been checking our our projects and have seen the beautiful cards Jeanie has been sharing using the Mason Jar set and you must have it too, order these two sets together and you can get them both shipped free!

This Doodlebug paper pad has been perfect with these tropical images... today for Mrs. Brentwood and her hula dance, I wanted something really feminine so I used that pretty floral that has pinks and greens and just a touch of orange in it....

And I used these pretty lilies from the Easter set again as well... they are so pretty and go along with the tropical look...

It certainly can be.... love the fun sentiments on this one as well...and isn't she just so pretty?  I love her pretty flower in her hair and her beautiful foliage wristlets...

And what's a luau without a Tiki... I mean... he's having a good time!

And love that I thought of this raffia that a co-worker gave me from a gift she got... and that I could find it!  The colors were perfect.. but I needed something bold for the center and picked out a wooden butterfly I had and colored it with the same color of the flowers...

So thanks for stopping by... there are a few more projects to be revealed today so be sure to not miss it... and here are links to all my teamies blogs in case you haven't seen them all so far and want to hop around:

A Prayer to the Java Gods with JessicaLynnOriginal

Welcome to my second project using the Tiki Hawaiian Vacation Featuring Brentwood stamp set!  I wasn't planning on another coffee card, but I had this idea in my head I needed to get OUT!

I used the coffee cup again from the A Latte Love stamp set... I love that this cup is a blank canvas for anything!  And in this case, I used the Tiki stamp from the new set for the wrap... it's no secret I pray to the Gods O' The Coffee Bean!

And I just love Brentwood doing his little fire dance... I imagine he's trying to make it rain coffee...  oh I hope it works!

Have I told you how much I LOVE the banner in this set?

So thanks for stopping by and hope you come back again tomorrow because I'll have more for you!  And don't forget until Saturday at midnight you can get this set shipped for free AND if you order it and the Mason Jar set that Jeanie's been featuring this week at the same time, both will ship for free!

Tiki Brentwood Release Week at JessicaLynnOriginal

So are you enjoying the projects so far using the fun new Tiki Hawaiian Vacation Featuring Brentwood Stamp Set!  This set ships free until next Saturday.. AND if you also order the previously released Mason Jar stamp set along with it they will both ship for free!  Jeanie featured a beautiful card using this set today and you'll be seeing it again soon!

For my card, I used the sketch over at Atlantic Hearts this week.. it's a great sketch!

I just love the fun images on this Tiki set so much!  And the leaves from the Once Upon A Fairytale Brentwood Set and the lily from the Happy Easter set go along with it perfectly in my opinion!  They have a tropical feel that compliments the Tiki set...

And since one of my favorite coffee flavors is Kona, I couldn't help but think of coffee and any Hawaiian vacation of mine would definitely include some Kona coffee so I used the To Go cup from the A Latte Love set.  And I think that sentiment is my new favorite....

And I just love the different banners that Jessica includes in her sets...  they really add the perfect little detail...

JessicaLynnOriginal Brentwood Release

So excited to introduce to you two new Brentwood sets from JessicaLynnOriginal!  Meet Operation Snowball Brentwood and Once Upon A Fairytale Brentwood and here's what I've made for you today:

Before I started coloring up my Brentwood images from the Operation Snowball set, we had a discussion on whether he was wearing a Santa suit or a reindeer suit!  I hadn't thought about it... I immediately saw a reindeer but I thought he'd be cute both ways... so for this one I made it a reindeer suit... I've named this card Reindeer Games...

I do love him as a reindeer!

He's waiting for his friends to get there for the snowball fight..lol!  Aren't these little snowball faces just the cutest???

And the sentiments on this one are awesome... love the mix of fonts and sizes!

Love the white, red and silver color scheme...

But I wanted to give the old santa suit a try as well (thank you Maria for that idea!)... and I love him like that too!

Brentwood is so full of the Christmas spirit that he couldn't decide so he mashed up his outfit!

He's a believer for sure!

I love the Tim Holtz distress stickles!!  Hard to see here, but I added some to my flower..

So brace yourselves 'cause I've got something different for you now... the Once Upon a Fairytale set is so beautiful!

I stamped the fairy and colored her in and then stamped the wings on vellum with Versamark and embossed them in gold.  I will do this again!

I also love this netted ribbon with a little bit of gold in it... it's perfect when you don't want to cover up too much of your background and it was nice and light for this whimsical card.

This one will be going in the mail this week... might be on its way to you... hmmmmmm...

So thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to hop around to all of the DT creations and see what they've made.... they are pretty awesome!
