Mid Mod Inspiration - Wild Style

Hello!  Well, I had one more Mid Mod inspired project to share and it didn't quite go the way I thought, but I love it anyway and I hope you do too!

This was my original inspiration and I've been rolling that around in my head for a while.

And then I stumbled on these (and of course now I want a bunch of these).  And finally landed on this:

I used the Tiger stencil and some small detail blending brushes to color the tiger stripes.  The plan was to add the foliage from Artsy Abstracts and leave the rest white, but I got a little sloppy with the black so I masked off everything and added the leaves around the whole thing as well as a little bit of shadow around the Tiger.  Finally a splattering of acrylics forgave everything and I'm in love!

Although this didn't turn out as I had imagined it, I didn't give up on it and I'm so glad I didn't!  Now if you'll excuse me... I may have some shopping to do!

You're Grrreat! with Miss Ink Stamps

Welcome back!  Today I'm sharing this one using Miss Ink Stamps Jungle Friends stamp set along with the Big Paws Stencil!

I started with a Gel Press print using the Big Paws Stencil and then stamped, cut and colored the big cats from Jungle Friends.

I decided to double up on that Wonky Square Frame from Avery Elle... I cut it in dark and it was too dark and white was too stark but using one as a shadow was just right with that background and helps my felines to pop.  And of course the sentiments on that set are Grrreat!

Hey Wild Thing - Miss Ink Stamps

Happy Friday!  I'm back with another background I made using the A2 Masking stencils ... this time along with the Zebra Stripe stencil!  This time I added some Transfer Gel and Deco Foiled in Magical Shattered Glass... I LOVE it!

I didn't want to cover up too much of my background because I love it!  So I just made a big sentiment using the alpha from the EI EI O Dies along with a sentiment from Jingle Friends and added some flowers.

Miss Ink Stamps - Plaid Zebra Print

Welcome back!  I'm mixing up some more unexpected patterns today!  I combined a cool pink plaid gel print I made with the Perfectly Plaid stencil and some zebra strips x 2!

I'd have loved to wear this combo in my teens... and I love how the plaid peeks out from behind the zebra stripes that I added with the Zebra Stripes stencil and some black Glitz Glitter Gel!

I used a light pink ink for the shadows on my zebra and added its stripes with glitter gel as well!  Then a quick frame and a sentiment from Jungle Friends and I know exactly who I'll send this one too....

You Are Fierce - Miss Ink Stamps

Welcome back!  I've got some more new Miss Ink for you today!  I just love all of the beautiful and adorable animals in the newest release!  The Jungle Friends set is one of my faves!  And this gorgeous tiger...

I decided to use some alpha dies and black glitter paper to make this sentiment pop!  And created just a light background using the gorgeous new On the Vine stencil!

I am playing along over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog's CAS challenge!  If you want to also play along with their partner Use Your Stuff, you'll need to keep it to one color, but you can just play along over at Double Trouble if not!  I have another CAS card today and I'm playing along with both with that one, so you can check that one out here if you'd like!

Miss Ink Stamps - Jungle Friends and More Stencil Layers

Did you catch yesterday's post and the video showing how I made the background?  Well, this one was a reject while creating that one, but I found it was perfect for today's card.  It was a reject because I lined up the stencils incorrectly and it was a little uneven on the sides, but I saved it because with some creative placement, it was still very usable!

I thought it was perfect for having this beautiful creature from the new Jungle Friends set along with some florals and that branch from the Pretty Bird set!  Check out all of the new products here!

Miss Ink Stamps Release Day-Jungle Friends Dazzle

Hello!!  Well, it's here!  It's Release Day over at Miss Ink Stamps and all of the new stuff is available in the shop!  Today I'm using images from the Jungle Friends (the Snake), Jungle Kids (The plants) and Jungle Ruins (the palm tree) along with FOUR stencils; Rabbit Hole,Ins and Outs Hollywood,Leavy Green and Sparkles!

I used some of the Lucky Leprechaun Dazzle Dust for the outline and sparkles by mixing it with some Glossy Accents to make a glitter past.

The Rabbit Hole stencil just seemed perfect for this layout and sentiment.  Now be sure to head on over to Instagram and the Miss Ink's Pad Facebook group for more inspiration and then head over to the shop and check out all of the new sets!
