Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - August 2022 Edition

Welcome back!  It's time for a new Crafty Elves post where my friends Debra and Michael and I share the Christmas cards we made this month!

Over at the Coffee Loving Papercrafters group recently, I learned about a new company called Pixi Dust Designs and they had a whole collection of Holiday Mug Die Sets and there's a bundle of all four of them and of course I had to get the bundle so I thought they'd be perfect for a Crafty Elves post!  (You can get each one separately, but the bundle is awesome and there are dies in each that can easily be used with each other and on other projects).  Here's how I was inspired:

I'll start with Santa! I started with a base of a gel print and then layered that cool Lattice W/Scallop Cover Die from Rubbernecker over it.

Then I cut all of my pieces out for Santa and assembled him with the help of the little pic on the back of the packaging card... don't you just love that cinnamon stick and little gingerbread cookie??

I added the snowflake from AJVD and built my sentiment using a stamp from Miss Ink and the & sign from the Marshmallow Alpha dies from Trinity Stamps.  Isn't that mug just the cutest??

For the penguin I chose a foiled gel print and the Happy Holidays circle die cut from MFT.

This sweetie comes with a peppermint stick and those cute little marshmallows too!

This reindeer!!  So cuuuute and sweet!  I decided not to use the whipped cream with this one although it does come with one... some of my tiny pieces I cut from white and then color them the colors I need.

These die sets are just SO complete. I'm very happy with them.  You get enough dies to cut every piece once so you don't have to keep running the same die through multiple times... unless of course you want to make more than one mug...lol!

This gel print I created using a stencil from Gina K... don't worry... you'll see it again soon!

There is steam and a candy cane with this one.

And last but definitely not least this snowman!!  Eeep!!  I love that hat and the holly and candy cane come with this one too.

I used that lattice die again over another gel print... I just love it!

And that's me for today!

Be sure to head on over to Debra and Michael's places to see what they have for you today!  But before you go let's see who is the winner of some great Rubbernecker Stamps Holiday products!  I have two winners:

Vanessa and Sue!  Send me your snail mail so I can get you your Happy Mail!

Thanks so much to everyone who played along last month!  We're playing again so leave me some love and I'll choose someone to send some Happy Mail to in September.

Come back again soon!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - June 2022 Edition

My first card today is using one of the adorable pups from the Art Impressions Santa Paws stamp set.  I was sitting at my workspace and there he was leftover from another month... all colored up and ready to take his place on a card!

I decided this gel print I made using the Frosty Flakes stencil from Miss Ink Stamps and acrylic paint and added a sentiment from an MFT set and the Happy Holidays die cut from MFT (both retired) along with a little snow drift in my stash.

My next three cards are using images and sentiments from the Jaded Blossom Hipster Christmas stamp set.

I used another gel print made with watercolors and the Swirls Stencil from Rubbernecker stamps the Medium Stitched Snowflake from A Jillian Vance Design behind him.

And for the last two, I used two more background with the Swirls Stencil and layered a cool Plaid Die Cut over the top that I cut from Toner Paper that I Deco Foiled.

And for this one I used the Bold Snowflake die from AJVD and the Stitched Flag Dies from Kat Scrappiness.

For this one I used the Medium Snowflake again.

And that's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed it!  And now be sure to head on over to Michael and Debra's blogs and see what they have for you this month!

Before you go let's see who is the winner of some Happy Mail from last month's post:

Verna!  Send me your address at bzscrapper66 at gmail dot com so I can get you your Happy Mail!

We're playing again!  Leave me some love here and I'll choose someone next month to receive a small gift from me!  Thanks so much for coming and come again soon!

Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - April 2022 Edition

It's the 25th of the month and time for the Crafty Elves to share the Christmas Cards we made this month!  I've been playing with foil all month.. mostly with my gel prints and acrylic paint.  For today I've used foil with acrylics and some good old Transfer Gel from Deco Foil because sometimes you just want some good, solid, dependable shine!

So here we go!

I made this background using a Newton's Nook stencil and applied some Deco Foil Transfer Gel Blanco... blanco because that's what I grabbed... could have used the clear.. but either way, I let it dry and ran it through my Minc...

And bam!  Look at that pretty rainbow snowfall!

Here's how I made these first two backgrounds:

Just some good old fashioned foiling using a Snowflake Stencil from Newton's Nook and some Thermoweb Transfer Gel and Rainbow Foil!

The snowflakes I'm using this month were gel prints that I decofoiled with some used foil sheets and cut with dies from A Jillian Vance Design and Lawn Fawn.

Here's how I did that:

So pretty, right!?

The thing about foiling on a gel print is it's always unexpected... and some won't turn out the way you want, but you can always use them for die cutting!

I used the same stencil for this one, but just a simple inked background.... one of the beautiful foiled snowflakes that fit perfectly in the center of that cool MFT Happy Holidays die.  I don't think that one is around any more but you can get a Merry Christmas one here!

I think I must have a thing for purple and aqua for Christmas this year....

And this one... well... a digi printed on a very old gel print and then foiled in rainbow... yeah.  The Unique Snowflake digi from Angie Blom ... one of my very faves...

I just added the die cut Merry, cut from foil cardstock and stacked to the front and that was that!

And finally...

We colored this cutie from Paper Nest Dolls at Copic Bootcamp last December and decided it was time to get him on a card.  So I foiled a snowy background using the Tiny Snowfall stencil from Miss Ink.

I threw a few of the foiled snowflakes around for a fun and simple card.

And that's me for today!

Be sure to head on over to Michael and Debra's places to see what they've created for you today!

And before you go, let's see who has won some Happy Mail from last month's post:
