Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas - March 2024 Edition

Hello!  It's the 25th of the month and that means Christmas!  The Crafty Elves are sharing the Christmas Cards we made this month.  I've been playing with a lot of Newton's Nook this month.  They're sponsoring the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge and today is the last day to play along.  I didn't add any coffee to my cards for today, but you still have time to play along over there with Coffee, Christmas, and Green!

Here's what I made for today:

These adorable Christmas Puppies ... I knew I had to have them when I saw them.  I love the pups and super love the sentiments.

For this one I started with a panel of green cardstock and blended pink through one layer of the stencil set and then added Glitz Glitter Gel through the second.

I am also in love with those inside scallop frames from Stamps of Life!  I popped it up and arranged the image and sentiment inside.

For this one I just ink blended both layers of the plaid stencil with a similar layout for the rest.  It is one of my favorite layouts.

I heat embossed the sentiment for this one onto pink cardstock.

Aren't these pups so cute??

This one I chose a raspberry pink background and added a layer of pink distress oxide over it with one layer of the plaid stencil.

Then the Holiday Foliage stencil with some Glitz Glitter Gel.

Woof-mas... nothing better than punny sentiments!

And I've got one over on the blog at A Jillian Vance Design too!  Hop on over there for the details for this one!

That's me for today!  Thanks so much for stopping!  Now don't forget to head on over to Debra's and Michael's places and see what they've made for you today!

What A Guy-Ellen Hutson and Stamps of Life Mash Up

Hello!  I've got a fun one today using a couple sets I picked up recently and I'm mixing it up with that Leading Gentleman stamp (psst... it's on sale for $7.99!!) and dies (these are on sale too for only $4.99!!!) from Ellen Hutson and the BBQ2 Stamp and dies from the Stamps of Life (I did trim them down a bit after I die cut the so that the border would be closer to the same width for all of the images)!

I love these sets together!  I also borrowed some Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline dies from my mom since we were crafting together and I wasn't planning on putting a full card together... but I do love these fun dies!

I'm playing along with this week's Double Trouble Challenge Blog challenge which is Something, Anything and Everything!  There's a special Yo-Yo twist... just get inspiration from a Yo Yo Trick and I found one named Back Burner!  If you'd like you can check it out here!

I'm also playing along at Cupcake Inspirations Masculine Challenge!

And here are the colors I used for those that want them...

Thanks for stopping again!  Hope you like this one!  Come again soon!

Coffee Date With Lisa and Jean!

So excited because today I have a Coffee Date up on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog with my good friend Jean Chaney!  We decided we would both use this Coffee Cup Fold-It Die from Stamps of Life along with any Art Impressions Stamp Set of our choosing!

Here's how I was inspired:

I was so very excited when I found this adorable pup dressed in a bunny outfit on the Howl-oween Stamp Set from Art Impressions.  Immediately I knew I wanted to make a cute Spring themed card with a grumpy sentiment.

Love this coffee cup shaped card from TSOL... it's three pieces... the outline cuts a card base from a folded piece of paper (or just cut it out as an outline if you aren't making a coffee cup shaped card) and then I just cut the cup from three different papers... white, kraft and the pink polka.  It has strategically placed cuts so that with just an easy snip here and there it's so easy to paper piece it.  And the circle for the front is a separate die.  Aren't those Lawn Fawn papers so pretty??

He's SO cute, isn't he?  You know how I love to make a Coffee card using sets that aren't necessarily coffee themed.  And with that look on his face, I went right for this sentiment on the Caffeinated Boxer stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs!

And that's me for today!  Hope you'll give a visit over at the CLC to meet Jean and then hop on over to her blog to get the details on her amazing project!

Thanks for stopping and hope you come again soon!

Crazy 4 Challenges - CFC510 Texture

Happy to be guesting over at Crazy 4 Challenges this month!  This weeks' challenge is all about texture!

I created texture on my card with some Thermoweb Champagne Mist Metallix Deco Foil Gel.  I used the Knit Stitch Cover Plate from A Jillian Vance Design and cut a panel out of some very thin cardboard to create a stencil.  It will last for a few uses I'm sure!  One of my favorite purchases recently was a Thermoweb Stencil Pal.  I use a spatula to apply the Gel and then drag the Stencil Pal over the top and it smooths it out and takes off the extra.  Then I can just scrape the extra back into the jar and my stencil is good for another go.

Then I took the opportunity to use my first monthly kit I received from Stamps of Life, the Pinecone sets are AWESOME!  I used just the die set here, but I signed up for the Stamp/Die Club and so far I have no regrets... love these!  This Season's Greeting phrase die along with the background is in the set....

As well as the pinecones and pine needles.  There are also berry dies, but I decided to use up some of my embellishments instead!

Hope you'll come on over to the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping and be sure to come back soon!

Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Trinity Stamps - Frappy Camper Collaboration!

Welcome to a fun filled hop between the Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Trinity Stamps!  We're hopping to share lots of inspiration using the new Frappy Camper's PERKing Spot stamp set that was born from a collaboration between our two teams and illustrated by Davina Cantrell.  It was so much fun to work alongside the Trinity team and share ideas to come up with the concept so perfectly brought to life!

The party starts at the Trinity Stamps Blog!  Hop and comment along the way for your chances to win a $20 gift code to the Trinity Stamps shop!  You have until October 22nd to comment and the winner will be announced on the Trinity Blog on October 26th.  If you get lost along the way, you can hop back on over to Trinity's Blog where you'll find the entire hop list and to find your way.  You should have come here from the very talented Helen's Blog!  And here's how I was inspired:

While shopping over at Trinity, I took a stroll through their considerable embellishments section and came across the beautiful Autumn Leaves embellishment mix and I knew I was going to create a shaker.

I paper pieced my camper using some leftovers from my National Coffee Day project that you can check out here if you'd like.  I love all of the pieces parts in this set that make it so much fun to assemble a fun scene!

And these cute little characters!  She decided, of course, that a Pumpkin Spice Latte was the ticket and he decided to go with a cupcake... and he may have another!  I gave his shirt a bit of a plaid look... and I love his schwoopy hair!  Very dashing!

I created my simple shaker by using a rectangle die and a circle die.  I used washi tape to hold them in place and ran them through my Gemini all at once.  I chose all of my papers from the same paper pad and when I cut the background circle for the shaker I chose the cute Love Life patterned paper and centered one of the large sentiments in the shaker window.  I strategically glued a couple sequins inside so that it would always look like it was shaken.  Don't you love the leaves in this mix??

Since I created my sentiment with my paper, I used part of one of the Frappy Camper sentiments for a sign on the Coffee Trailer and left it at that.  Just scattered a few additional sequins around the outside... as if they escaped from the shaker.

I'm playing along over at Cupcake Inspirations Something Inside!  You have just a few more hours to play along... my sequins are inside the shaker!

And then this came to me in the middle of the night and I couldn't let it go:

I mean... of course if I owned a coffee truck that was the created from a trailer, I would paint it to look like a pumpkin!

For this one I created a distress oxide background using some stencils and then placed that awesome Cloudy Day Frame over the top, popping it up with some thin width popup tape.  Such a cool frame!

So did you notice my exhaust pipe/stem is made from a coffee cup??  This one is from the Seasonal Sweetheart set and was the perfect size!  And I added a couple of the green leaves from the sequin mix.

I added the flowers and pumpkin also from the Seasonal Sweetheart set for more autumn feel.  I decided not to add that cute couple so as not to cover up my pumpkin coffee truck trailer.  They'll be there soon... after all... there is pumpkin spice on the menu!

I decided on a sentiment from the new Autumn Sentiments set.  Cause.. well... Pumpkin Spice!  I colored the strip with the same colors I used on the pumpkin trailer and added a few more sequin leaves.

And there you have it!

I'm playing along over at Double Trouble's Put Your Mask On Challenge (did you know that when you use a stencil... you're masking!) and pretty sure with this one I've met the Pumpkin twist!

Now to continue on your way you'll stop over at Robyn's place next for some awesome inspiration!  Don't forget to leave love along the way for your chances to win a $20 gift code to the Trinity Stamp shop!

Thanks for visiting and come again soon!

National Cocoa Day with Stamps of Life!

Happy National Cocoa Day and welcome to our celebration of Cocoa!  Today the Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Stamps of Life Design Teams are hopping together and featuring the Hot Chocolate 2 Stamps and Hot Chocolate Dies (and maybe a few other wonderful Stamps of Life products)!  Hop along to each stop along the way and leave some love and you will have a chance to win a $25 Gift card to The Stamps of Life Shop!  You have until the 20th to comment and the winner will be announced on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Blog on the 22nd!  And if you stick with me until the end I'm having a little giveaway here too!

***Edited to add winner info!  The winner of the gift certificate has been announced on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog today, December 22nd at 7am Pacific time and Amy has added her winner to her hop post as well!  The winner here at my place is Donna Mundinger!!  Congrats to Donna!  I'll be messaging her and thanks so much to all who joined us for this hop!***

You should be coming here from the oh so talented Kathy Schweinfurth's Blog!  If you get lost along the way you can always head back to the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Blog here where you'll find the entire hop list!

And here's how I was inspired:

So... can I just say... this cup die!!  It's a fantastic size and shape and I LOVE that the handle cuts out!  The "inside" of the cup cuts out at the top too, so I can tuck the awesome whipped topping die just inside it... or add some paper to it for cocoa and add some or lots of the marshmallows from the stamp set.  And the whipped cream!  The lines are actually cuts rather than just embossed, so it's easy to slip the spoon die cut (also included in the set) right through it... or a straw... or some marshmallows... or whatever!  I cut mine from white glitter paper and my spoon from some silver foiled paper.  I added a few marshmallows and the steam... we'll talk about that in a minute.

For this next one, I was inspired by our cool desert evenings here in Buckeye, Arizona:

I got these cool Succulent 2 Dies recently at a stamp show in Mesa.  So... it does get really cold here in the southwestern part of Arizona!  In fact, it's not uncommon to see a cactus with a hat on!  I mean .. usually it's not a cute knit beanie like the sticker I added... but instead maybe a styrofoam cup...lol!  But wouldn't beanies be cuter!?  Lately it's been in the 40's in the morning... but don't feel bad for me... it's 70 by the afternoon!

That sentiment, right??  I blended some distress oxides onto the cup and used a stencil to add more of the same color to decorate my cup this time and built my sentiment from the Hot Chocolate 2 Stamp Set and stamped it right on the cup.   I'd buy that cup!  And I just LOVE the steam in this set... each piece cuts out separately so you can add them however you want!

And I couldn't let the day go by without shaking things up!

I just cut the cup from the snowflake paper and the cup outline die from a coordinating paper (the die set has outlines for the cup, the whipped topping AND the spoon!  Perfect for cutting out the stamped images or to outline the dies).  Then I cut a heart shaped window out of the center of my cup die cut, added some acetate inside the window and then some popup tape around the heart window.  I added sequins and beads and attached the cup to the background.  Since I added gold splatters, I cut the spoon from gold foil cardstock this time.  I built my sentiment from one of the sentiments from the Coffee Statement Stamp Set along with the Hot Cocoa words from the Hot Chocolate 2 Stamp Set we're featuring today!  So many of the Coffee Statement sentiments work really well with "Hot Cocoa" in place of "Coffee"!  So maybe we just need a "Hot Cocoa" word die??  Stephanie?  Maybe? :)

I'm playing along over at Double Trouble to create something using embossing and I've added the twist of snowflakes!  You should check this one out!  You have a couple days left to play along over there for a sweet prize!

So that's me for today!  Oh... AND I'm giving away one of these fantastic Stamps of Life Hot Chocolate die sets too!

It is quite awesome and you do need this in your cup die collection!  You have until the 20th to leave me some love here and I'll announce the winner on the 22nd also!

The next stop on the hop is the wonderful Laurel Seabrook!  You're sure to be wowed over there!  Thanks for stopping here and good luck!!
