CAS-ual Fridays Stamp Release-Slimline Pinked Fri-dies!

Today is Day 1 of the new CAS-ual Fridays release!  And today we're sharing a fun new die set with you... meet the Slimline Pinked Fri-Dies!

I cut the largest pinked die from plaid paper and the next smallest die from white cardsstock.  I blended on some Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Inks and then used the Modern Petals Stencil and applied some more Spiced Marmalade through it.  Then I centered a smooth circle inside one of the pinked circles to create a frame, taping it in place on my paper and then cutting two more just like it.  Popped them up onto the front of the ink distressed panel and added my stamped, cut and colored images from Mon Ami.

Finally, I cut the hello from Sweet Friend Fri-dies three times and stacked them.  I added the sentiment to the card and carefully covered it with Glossy Accents.  Just a few sequins scattered around and I was done!

Thanks so much for stopping!  Be sure to check out what my teamies created for you today!  And head over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog for more fun!

Hello Wow Lightening Effects Kit! - CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Hello all!  Today I'm sharing a card using a couple of the fantastic new Wow products now available in the CAS-ual Fridays shop!

I started with one of the beautiful florals from the Mon Ami Stamp Set.  I stamped a bunch on some Copic friendly paper and colored them in with V01, V05, and V15 Copic Markers.  Then I used the Wow Mixed Media Embossing Brush and brushed some onto the base of the florals.  You want to be sure to get a lot of the liquid off of the brush and back into the jar using the lip of the jar because some will still be on the base of the brush and will drip down.  You can always dip it in and add some back.

The awesome new Wow Changers Lightening Effects Kit is a great way to use some of the embossing powders in your stash and add a little Wow to them!  The kit is so cool!  It comes with three Changers; Glisten, Texture, and Sheen and three empty jars all in an adorable little handled carrying case.   I took some purple that I had in my stash and added a little of it and a little of the Glisten Changer into one of the empty jars that comes in the kit and shook it up and I love the effect!  I sprinkled that onto the painted flowers and heat embossed them.

I love the shimmery look it gave me otherwise solid purple powder!  So cool.  For this mixture I probably used about 3/4 purple and 1/4 of the Glisten.  In hind site I'd have used a little less of the purple.  I still have some of the mixture left and will use it again and maybe add some more Glisten Changer or maybe one of the others!  Or maybe something else! SO fun!

I created a simple background with some texture paste and the Modern Petals Stencil.  I cut out and arranged all of my flowers into a wreath form around a circle die cut.  Attached them using foam tape and then cut some of those pretty die cuts using the Casual Trees dies and some glitter paper and added those with glue around the wreath.  Finally I used the Hello die from the Sweet Friend Fri-Dies.. cut it once from glitter paper and twice more from white cardstock-stacked them together and then added them across the wreath

Had so much fun experimenting with these new products!  I'll be using them frequently for sure!

Thanks so much for stopping and hope you enjoyed it! Should you see something you need from the shop today, I have this for you:

Seriously, You're The Best - CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!

Welcome back!  Today I'm sharing a fun background and way to create some dimension with your stencils!

I started by ink blending some Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord Distress Oxides in an ombre like pattern... dark at the bottom and lighter at the top through the Modern Petals Stencil.

After the ink was applied, I lifted the stencil and shifted it over just a bit...

And applied some Inca Gold over the purple.

As you can see, my Inca Gold has grown hard and cracked.. but I don't mind.  I just add a little water before I use it and I keep that little sponge right in the jar so it's always there.

I love the shadowy look it gives to the background!

I stamped, colored and die cut the floral from Mon Ami and framed it with two circles.. one from vellum and one from gold cardstock.  Then I added one of the sentiments from the set to a strip and attached it to my card.

Should you see something you need to have, I have this for you:

Hey There Foxy With CAS-ual Fridays!

Welcome to some some CAS-ual Fridays inspiration!  Have you seen the beautiful Foxy stamp set in the CAS-ual Fridays shop?  I decided I needed to pull it out for today.  I stamped the images onto some watercolor paper using Ranger Archival Ink and then colored them in using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  Once they were dry, I fussy cut them out.  I love to cut the floral out especially because I love the way it looks and how it curls just a bit!

I created the background using the Modern Petals Stencil and the Zig markers.  I taped down the stencil over some water color paper and holding down the stencil close to the paper I proceeded to color in the petals.  I didn't spend a lot of time to color the entire petal because I knew I wanted to mix these colors in the negative spaces so with quick brush strokes I went over with yellow, then green, and then orange.  Finally I splattered some glitter watercolors over the top.

Once I popped up and added all of my pieces, I heat embossed this sentiment from the Foxy stamp set onto black cardstock... my favorite way to add a sentiment these days.

I'm playing along with Double Trouble's Masking Challenge... did you know simply using a stencil counts as masking?  Think about it!  It's exactly what a stencil is for!  And with my autumn colors, I'm playing along over at Kat Scrappiness' Fall themed Challenge!  They're partnering with Double Trouble so play along with both and get extra chances to win over at Double Trouble!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope I've provided a little inspiration for your crafty day!

Peace, Love, Coffee and Color Burst

Welcome back!  I'm sharing with you today a card I made using some of my very favorite CAS-ual Fridays products!  I started with a background I created using some Ken Oliver Colorbursts and the Modern Petals stencil.  (I have a short photo tutorial here if you didn't catch it the first time around).  I love to get out my colorbursts and stencils and play and make a bunch at one time so when I'm ready to use them, they're ready for me!

Then of course... the coffee cup... I love the To Go Cup Fri-Dies available in the shop... the size is fantastic to be the star of the show on a card... and since coffee is the star of most of my mornings... it's perfect!  And that beautiful fox from the Foxy stamp set... perfect for my coffee wrap that I cut from Copic Friendly paper.

I love the 4 Petal Fri-Dies!!  Handy for all kinds of flowers... I cut these from red cardstock and covered them with some Wow Vintage Candy Cane embossing powder.  Added a few branches from the Casual Trees Fri-Dies and my favorite sentiment from Peace, Love and Coffee as well as the additional Peace sign... both stamped in Versamark on black cardstock and embossed with Wow Opaque Bright White powder.

I love how bold it is, yet somehow (to me anyway) it still evokes peaceful thoughts... I think it's that beautiful quiet fox....

I hope you enjoyed your stop!  And did you know now is a good time to get some of your favorite sets that you've been wanting but just haven't gotten yet?  There are some products in the shop that are retiring and are 25% off right now!  Once they're gone they are gone!  They're making room for some awesome new products so get what you've been wanting before it's too late and at a great price!

And here's this for you as well:

CAS-ual Fridays - No Limit to Your Awesomeness!

Welcome back!  You may remember I mentioned last time that I would share a background using watercolors and a stencil and so here we are!  I love this beautiful Mon Ami stamp set... the floral images and those great sentiments!

I started with the Modern Petals stencil and a panel of watercolor paper.  I taped down the stencil over the watercolor panel.

I laid down a light layer of the aqua color and let it dry.  I added a bit more tape and used a smaller paint brush with less water to add some purples and gold (of course) in a few select areas.  Less water and a tighter stencil will give you a little more control and less bleed under the stencil.  When I wanted a more defined petal, I held down the stencil on the paper to add the paint.

After the additional colors dried, I removed the stencil and splattered on a little of each of the colors and let it dry.

While my background was drying, I heat embossed one of the floral images from the Mon Ami set in gold on watercolor paper and die cut it out.  Then I used both of the purples that I used in my background to color it in.  I heat embossed that fun sentiment in white on Aqua cardstock and popped up both the floral and the sentiment on my background.

I'm playing along over at Krafty Chicks Embossing Challenge with this one!  There are only a few hours left, but don't worry!  There will be another one coming along soon!

I love when the colors blend and bleed a bit, but you can still see the shape of the stencil open spaces!  I just added a few sequins and I was done!

That's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed your stop here!

Don't forget this is going on:

Unleash Your Inner Sparkle With CAS-ual Fridays!

I'm up on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog today and sharing a card I made with some "leftovers" from my New Release frenzy of creating!

I was playing with my Color Bursts and stencils and made a few of these backgrounds playing with various colors and stencils and I loved them all, but just didn't have time to use them all so I picked this one that I made with the Modern Petals stencil to use for today.  It was perfect with the deep rich and fiery colors for what I was feeling.

I decided to create a shaker with a clear back again using the Bubble Box Fri-Dies.. a fantastic set for creating shaker frames... and filled it with lots of sequins.

I cut these 4 Petals flowers previously too... the foil cardstock ones and you may remember the glitter embossed ones from a while ago... they were perfect with this background.  And I cut a few branches from the Casual Trees Fri-Dies to go along with them.

And this sentiment from the Be A Unicorn Stamp Set was perfect!

That's me for today!  Thanks for coming and hope you enjoyed your stay!  Come back often for more inspiration and be sure to follow CAS-ual Fridays wherever you hang out!
