I'm playing along with the newest challenge over at Double Trouble Challenge Blog which is a Tall and Skinny Card (although I guess technically mine is a short and fat one... but either way it's a Slimline!).  I didn't meet the twist which is to include something with a tail, but you can!

Thanks so much for stopping and hope you come back again soon!

CAS-ual Fridays Release Day 3 - Celebration & Hooray Fri-Dies!

Welcome to Day 3 of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release!  Today we're sharing the so fun Sassy Celebration Stamp Set and Hooray Fri-Dies!

I just love the font on these Fri-Dies and I didn't set out to make a shaker but when I die cut the celebrate I had the perfect makings of a shaker!  Lucky I kept track of the little pieces from the e's, b, and a so I could add them back to the Celebrate word once my acetate was on.

And I filled it up to the brim with the perfect sequin mix!  It still shakes, but it is full!

I created the background using some Catherine Pooler Inks and the Jacks stencil.  The "Well done you!" sentiment is from Sassy Celebration and the rest of the pieces are all from the Slimline Pinked Fri-Dies.

That's me for today!  Be sure to head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Blog to see what everyone else has created for you today and to see how you could win a prize!

Should you see something that you need to have I have this for you:

And the National Coffee Day Hop is still going on!  More chances to win prizes and CAS-ual Fridays is a Sponsor!  Check out that post from yesterday (September 29th) for more chances to win!

Hope you enjoyed it!  Come again soon!

A Multi Medium Birthday Card - CASual Fridays Stamps

Welcome back!  If you like to play with different mediums this is the card for you! I I came across the Bubble Box layer with green and gold Alcohol Inks on it in my stash.  I had made it for a different project, but it wasn't right for that one.  Turns out it was perfect for this one and it set the tone for the rest of the card!

I used the Jacks stencil to blended some greens through it onto a white cardstock layer and then because my alcohol ink layer had gold in it I decided to add some Inka Gold randomly before removing the stencil.  Mine was dried up so when I use it I just add a little water to it and apply it with a sponge.  After that dried, I layered that onto my white base, then a vellum Bubble Box and then popped up the Alcohol Ink layer.

Finally I stamped the Happy Birthday in the same greens I used on the background and then without moving the stamped image in my Misti, I dabbed on some Ranger embossing ink that comes in a bottle with a dauber tip to the stamp set, stamped it over the ink stamped image and then used clear embossing powder over the top.  I got a kind of textured embossed look which I decided I liked because it kind of makes the  sentiment sparkle!  And then I cut it out and popped it up over the top.  I just added a few sequins and I was done!

That's me for today!  I hope you enjoyed your visit and you'll come back again soon for some more CAS-ual Fridays Stamps inspiration!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release - Jacks!

Welcome to Day 2 of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release Inspiration!  Today we're playing with the Jacks Stencil and Jacks Chipboard!

I used the stencil to apply some Deco Foil Transfer Gel and when it was dry, covered the panel with some Neon Flock and ran it through my Minc.  You can see in this pic a little that the Jacks background is ...well... Neon...lol... but also fuzzy to the touch... SO fun!

I stamped the Happy Birthday from the previous release with Versamark and heat embossed it in blue and then fussy cut it out.  Then I used a Versamark dabber to apply the ink to some of the Jacks chipboard and using the fine tweezers from the shop to hold them, added some of the same embossing powder that I used on the sentiment and heated them up.  I popped a Scallop Tag onto the front and then added the sentiment and Jacks.  I lined up the jacks that hang over the edge with the flock ones because I thought it was more pleasing to look at that way.

I just added a few sequins and I was done!  This one is bright for sure, but I love the blue with the Neon orange... it's fun!

Thanks so much for stopping and be sure to hop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see what everyone else has created with these new products and should you see something you need, I have this for you:

Be sure to come back tomorrow for more release inspiration!
