Lawn Fawn - Happy Birthday Dance!

I have found myself with some free crafty time to play and decided to play along over at the Lawnfawnatics Interactive Challenge #58.  I haven't made a box card in a while and I started this one while I was on vacation so I decided it was time to finish it!  I used the Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up that I got at my LSS Scraps of Love.  And I decided I was quite lacking in Lawn Fawn sentiments and that I needed the Happy Happy Happy Stamp Set and coordinating dies and I was right!  This is one awesome set!  I picked mine up at Ellen Hutson when it was sold out at Lawn Fawn.

This is the front of my card and when I send it this is how it will come out of the envelope.

And this is the inside with two flaps down.  Sure... I could measure and score and build my own popup box, but I love how easy the die set makes it to create one of these!

And here it is standing up.  I added some grass  with a grass die from CDD and those adorable costumed kids and flowers from the Easter Party Stamp Set and Dies... I picked these up at my LSS The Paper Collage.  It was kind of a group effort, don't you think?

I had these baby animals, the pig, sheep and chicks already colored and cut out from a previous project so I added them as well.

And a friend had her butterfly punch out, so I thought why not!  I punched out a few and added them to acrylic strips so they could fly.

It's quite the sweet Birthday dance party, don't you think?

I can't say enough about the Happy Happy Happy set!

So that's me for today!  It feels good to finish this one up!  You should check out the Lawnfawnatics Challenge and play along!

The Cutting Cafe Inspiration-Popup Flowers!

Welcome to the July 7th edition of Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  This time around we are playing with Popup Flowers and you can find the file here!  You are going to LOVE this one!

This card base and covering layer is included in the cutting file!  I love the rounded corners!  I used some old paper, stickers, dies and stamps from my stash to decorate the front, along with those pretty flowers from the Beautiful Hydrangea stamp set from the Cutting Cafe Shop... you should definitely check this one out!

I let the banner that holds my sentiment on the inside stick out a little.. I thought that would be fun... are you ready??

BAM!  POW!  lol... sorry, but I just love this!... these flowers and layering pieces are so easy to cut and put together-just watch the video and it will all make sense.  So easy ... and one tip I have is yes... when you attach your flower cluster to the inside of the card you are only attaching two petals... the rest takes care of itself!

I used an embossing folder to emboss my leaves before I attached them... I love the way it looks.  I used white just because I thought it would be prettier with this color scheme and I think it is... and it doesn't look as off as I thought it would... to my eyes anyway... I love it!

I chose to go with my sentiment on a banner and I let it lay behind the flowers just a bit.  It doesn't interfere at all.  I used the cutting file to cut the inside layers as well.

And the sentiment is from the Everyday Words set from the Cutting Cafe Shop.  I love this set because you can build almost any sentiment you want... I haven't been disappointed yet!

Thanks for stopping by today!  If you check out the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th you'll see pics and links to all of the awesome Design Team projects made with this file... and they aren't all popup cards... wait 'til you see!!  So pretty!  And if you comment on the Cutting Cafe blog post, you could win some free files!

And don't forget I'm celebrating 100 followers this month!  I'll be drawing from all comments on my July posts to send a gift to someone!  You must be a follower of my blog either through blogger or through email and if you're not already, just pick one and let me know!  Please do let me know how you found me and a little bit about yourself!  I love to read your comments especially when you tell me something I don't know about you... and be sure I know how to get a hold of you too!

See you again soon I hope!

The Cutting Cafe Inspiration-Popup Cards

It's time for some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!   This time around we're sharing some popup cards with you!  I used the Assorted Popup Cards Templates and Cutting Files.  This one comes with a few choices for the popup on the inside ... you'll have to wait a few minutes to see which one I chose... don't you peek now!

I decided to make the front of the card a shaker.  The front is blank and you can really do whatever you want with it... I used a die to cut the frame and a clear PML card with the gold sentiment on it already for the shaker window.

I decorated this corner with some flowers... the white and pink were premade flowers from my stash and the red one is from the Layered Flowers Cutting File... I like to cut a bunch to have on hand...

Love this PML card... I should tell you that I made this card special for a co-worker... she's turning 75 this year and will be retiring soon so we wanted to make this celebration extra special and I decided that called for a special card...

There's the inside!  I used the cake... you can also choose a cupcake, a three tiered present, and a couple of flower options... I uploaded the card base pieces separately and saved them... this style you could use for a lot of different shaped popups and I wanted the card at the ready for the next time I want one...

I thought the Live Beautifully papers from CTMH... this woman is a girly girl and I just know she'll love all of the flowers, sparkle and these colors... and the gold!!  I decided instead of adding the actual numbers anywhere I'd just load up my cake with LOTS of candles... it kind of makes the point without shoving it in your face I think...

I'm playing along with the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge for the Month of May to use the Live Beautifully paper pack.

For the sentiment I used the Everyday Words Stamp Set from The Cutting Cafe Shop... I love it because you can put together lots of different sentiments... I had a stamp with this sentiment on it, but the font was so small... I was able to build it with the Everyday Words set..

And another one of these flowers.. I love that they have some stitch marks down the middle of the petals... it's a great way to bend the petals to give them a little dimension...

So thanks for stopping by!  I'm so happy to see you again.  Be sure to come back soon!  And on the 21st you can check out all of the Design Team's popup card creations!  In the meantime, why don't you join the Cutting Cafe Be Inspired Group on Facebook here so you don't miss anything!

See you again soon!
