Cutting Cafe Inspiration - An Awesome Backpack?!

Welcome to some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  We have some very cool projects for you today!  There's a new file in town and you are gonna love it!  This Backpack cutting file is quite awesome and so easy to use!

I picked out some beautiful Photoplay paper that I got at the stamp show last weekend for mine!

There are two separate compartments in the assembled backpack.  The main compartment could fit lots of cute little things... maybe some Chapstick and pencils and small notebook... or some embellishments and ribbon and twine... or a cute set of coordinating cards.... you get the idea!

And the front compartment can hold a few things too... including this cute little 3x3 card.  I used magnets to keep the flaps closed.

I used the same papers for my card and these Layered Flowers were perfect for the front.  I used a cute little sentiment from the Wheelbarrow Deliveries stamp set from The Cutting Cafe Shop.

Adorable and cool right??  Wait until you see what everyone has done with this file!  Head on over to the Cutting Cafe Blog and check them out!  While you're there, comment for your chance to win three files of your choice!

Thanks for stopping!  Come again soon!

The Cutting Cafe Inspiration - Christmas and Coffee

Welcome to some Cutting Cafe Inspiration!  This time around it's Designers Choice-Christmas!  Well, of courses I threw in a cuppa!

Did you know that The Cutting Cafe has a whole bunch of Coffee Themed files?  You can find some of them right here including one of my faves, this Coffee Cup Shaped Card 2!  It contains all of the pieces you need to put together a fun To Go Cup shaped card.  I used some Photo Play Mad 4 Plaid Christmas papers for this one.

Then I added that pretty Sentiment that I printed from the printable stamp set.  I diecut the beautiful scene inside the circle from the paper pad.  Then I embellished with some of those pretty handmade flowers that I made a couple weeks go to go in the pretty Embellishment Gift Boxes.  You can check those out here if you'd like!

My second card was lucky to get dressed up with the Echo Park Coffee papers!  You can get those right in the Cutting Cafe Shop here!

For the sentiment I used one of the die cut pieces from the Ephemera Pack that goes with the paper pad.  I added a few of the white flowers to this one.

What's really cool about this Coffee Cup cutting file, is it includes a little pocket for the inside of the card so that you can slide a gift card right into it... you can use it or not!

Be sure to pop by the Cutting Cafe Blog on the 7th and comment there before you hop around and see what everyone else has made for Christmas!  You could win three files of your choice from the shop!

Did you know that the Cutting Cafe is Sponsoring the Fall/Winter 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop??  Just create a new project with a theme of Fall or Winter that includes coffee, tea, or cocoa and link it up for a chance to win one of many wonderful prizes!  I'm linking my Christmas card up over there!  You should play along!  You have until Friday at 11:55 pm Pacific time!  Be there or be square!

CAS-ual Fridays Release Day 3 - Mistletoe Fri-Dies!

Welcome to Day 3 of the Holiday CAS-ual Fridays Release!  Today we're showing off the new Mistletoe Fri-Dies!  This awesome set coordinates with the previously released Mistletoe and Holly stamp set.  Here's how I was inspired:

I knew I wanted the Mistletoe to be hanging in a window.  The Bubble Box Fri-Dies were perfect for this!  I started by attaching my plaid background paper to a white piece of 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cardstock.  Then I used the 3rd smallest Bubble Box die and cut a window through both layers... easy peasy!  Then I took my card base and added a layer of design paper on the inside of the front and used the 2nd largest die to cut a larger window into the base-rather than trying to line up the smaller window I thought this would be easier and look cool on the inside... which I think it does!  And I was able to use the actual die cuts from both windows on the inside of the card as well!

I just made sure to line up the red plaid so that it fit perfectly in the window by adhering back in it's place while the front was closed over.

I stamped, die cut and colored the Holly from the stamp set and attached it to the top of the window with a piece of thin foam tape and stamped the Mistletoe and Holly sentiment on the "inside" and stamped with Versamark and heat embossed it in white on the front.  I was going to leave it like this when I thought of making a belly band so that you'd see the first part of the sentiment first and then the rest of the sentiment when you removed the band.

I used two layers of cardstock and some pretty washi tape for the center.  And then I used the 4 Petals and Jumping Jacks Fri-dies to create some poinsettias for the front of the band.

And I love them just as much as I thought I was going to when I had this idea!  I added some Nuvo drops to the centers for good measure.

A few sequins in the same bright green as the poinsettia flowers and I was done!  I love this one!  I hope you do too!

I'm playing along again with Anything Goes over at Double Trouble Challenges and Twisted Thursday at the Outlawz!  I'm also playing along with the Christmas challenge over at Fab N Funky!

Edited to add:  This one was a winner over at Fab N Funky!

Paper Sweeties November 2017 New Release Party!

Yay!  It's Release Day over at Paper Sweeties!  All of the new stamps and dies are available in the shop today!

I'm sharing with you a project made using the new You Better Not Pout stamp set!  Love this cute set with a few really cute sentiments and this awesome image of Santa holding a letter for your recipient!

So cute right!?  And I am loving all of the # sentiments that Debbie has been adding to the new sets lately.. they are my favorites.. short, sweet, and trendy!

The envelope comes blank, but I used part of a sentiment from the Handmade For You stamp set... it was the perfect size to fit in the envelope.  But you could handwrite a recipients name and/or address (fake or real), leave it blank, or add a few scribbles to look like it's addressed.  I love that it's blank so you can do what you want with it!

I embellished with some red burlap ribbon from my stash and some jingle bells and of course sprinkled around a few Marshmallow Sprinkles.

So happy you could come by again today!  Get some more inspiration before you shop by heading over to these places:

Paper Sweeties November 2017 New Release Sneak Peeks!

It's finally here!  It's time for Sneak Peeks over at Paper Sweeties for the November Release!  Today I'm using the new Meet Me Under The Mistletoe set along with a few other items available in the Paper Sweeties shop!  All the new stuff will be available for purchase tomorrow!

Love this pretty sentiment filled tree and die from the Meet Me Under The Mistletoe set!   I stamped it onto colored cardstock, die cut it with the coordinating Sweet Cuts and then added a gold glitter star (that was sitting in my work space believe it or not and was perfect) to mine as well as the pretty gold tinsel ribbon from my stash and my FAVORITE gold sequins from Paper Sweeties!

I'm playing along with the Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #268 that runs through this Thursday, the 16th!  The gold was optional.. silly people... of COURSE I'm going to use it!

I stamped the base on a different color of cardstock to look like the tree bottom was wrapped in burlap.

And this space was just right for this beautiful Joy diecut that I cut from glitter paper using the Joy Sweet Cuts word dies... LOVE those sweet dainty words..

Thanks so much for stopping today!  Be sure to come back tomorrow for the Release Party, but in the meantime check out what everyone has created for you today!

And don't forget to play along with us for your chance to win!

25 Days of Christmas Tags With Paper Sweeties

Excited to be joining in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags hosted by Tracey McNeely along with my teamies from Paper Sweeties!  Here's my tag for today!

Have you seen the new stitched tag die over at PaperSweeties?  It's called For You and it's pretty perfect!  And I love using it along with some of the other tag dies that are a bit smaller, like this tree from the Stitched Tags #2 Sweet Cuts set.

I used the star and heart dies from the Be Happy Sweet Cuts set too!  I created a faux shaker by cutting two trees from the Stitched Tags #2 set and diecut the heart from the front piece and then used some foam tape to attach them together to give the heart well some dimension.   I didn't add any window sheet to the shaker part... instead I just squirted a little liquid glass in the opening and dumped some beads and a sequin in it... then I just punched a star shaped hole in the star die cut from glitter paper using a punch I had in my stash and attached it to the baker's twine at the top.

I had this sentiment from the Santa Claus stamp set already embossed in white on this banner cut using the Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts sitting around on my desk!  Yup... for almost a year it's been sitting there waiting... not perfect for whatever project I was working on then, but perfect for this one!  And of course I finished it off with some awesome Paper Sweeties Sequins in Strawberry!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be sure to check out all of the Paper Sweeties projects revealed today!  You can reach them all from the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event for today on Tracey McNeely's In My Creative Opinion Blog!  You can then go to the main link up post and check out the rules and play along!  One important detail is you should use one of the tags created by any of the DT members from any of the days of the event and when you post, mention the project that inspired you as well as the day of the event it was posted!  There are lots of prizes from some awesome sponsors and lots of fun to be had!  Hope to see you there!
