Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge October 2018 - Autumn/Halloween

Welcome to a new Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge!  This month the theme is Autumn/Halloween!  Here's how I was inspired:

I knew I wanted to use this beautiful collection from Paper House Productions, Autumn Woods for today.  I purchased this over a year ago and had yet to use it.  I chose the piece paper I did because of the reds (apples), oranges(pumpkins) and greys in it (you'll find out why in a bit!)

I chose this beautiful sentiment from an old retired CTMH stamp set.  It was fun to color in the letters with a little bit of an Ombre palette mimicking the colors in the paper.

And I took the opportunity to use these awesome Ellen Hutson dies I purchased second hand from someone trying to de-stash.. awesome deal and I love them!  Can't beat that!

And this adorable fox from the Autumn woods collection.   You'll be seeing more of this paper before the season is over for sure!

And a few more dies and that beautiful crocheted flower all the way from Australia!  I scattered around some Paper Sweeties sequins and I was done!

That's it for me today!  Oh!  My colors!  I saw this gorgeous Inspiration Photo over at Heart2Heart Challenges and thought I'd play along:

Hope you'll join us this month at Three Amigos!  Can't wait to see what you create! And be sure to head on over Susan's and Donna's places to see what they have for you today and check out the Three Amigos Challenge Blog to see who won from last month's entries!

Thanks for stopping!

A Little More Jillian Vance and My Last Guestie Project for Heart2Heart

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges!  It's also my last day as the February Guest Designer and it's been a lot of fun!  You still have some time to play along with all of February's weekly challenges!

This week the sketch is Everything But The Kitchen Sink which for me translated into Coffee... 'cause... well... you make it in the Kitchen...lol!  So I used some of my leftovers from last week's Sponsor Solo projects... And that pretty heart paper from the Paper Fundamentals papers at CTMH was perfect for this lagoon colored cup!

If you remember, I cut 7 colors.. 8?  IDK.. you can count them if you want.. using this Grandpa's Glass Cup of Love die from A Jillian Vance Design so that I could create a stained glass rainbow card which you can see the cards I created here if you'd like.  This is one of the frames that came from those cuts and I used it here and just filled in the white cuts for the coffee cup and didn't bother with the outside pieces.  I felt it brought the cup pieces to the forefront just a bit.

And that little piece at the bottom was the perfect size for this sentiment... a few paper flowers and sequins and done!  AND I put almost all of my other pieces to use on bases that will be used in the future:

I only had to cut extra white pieces for the frames and I've saved those as well as some others from the quilt die for future projects.. kind of like I used them on yesterday's card for the Calling All Sistah's Encouragement Challenge which you can see here if you'd like.

So I hope you enjoyed your visit today and I hope you'll join the gals over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges in this and future challenges.  Such a fun variety of Challenges and I love that you have all month to play along with every weekly challenge for that month!  It's been fun and I'll be playing along in the future as well... and maybe you'll even see some of these in my projects!

Heart 2 Heart Guestie-Sunny Days

Excited to be guesting again this week over the Heart 2 Heart Challenges!  This week it's all about Sunny Days!  I created this one using the Little Acres Creations February release stamp set, Piles of Smiles!  As soon as I saw this stamp set, this idea started formulating!  And OF COURSE it has a coffee theme... I mean... are you new here??

I started this one using Distress Inks and a Tim Holtz Sunray stencil.  I ink blended my background to look like a sunshiny morning and then added the sunrays using the stencil and some more of the same ink color where I would be putting my cup.  You know... Sunny Days!

Then I die cut the ink blended background with a scalloped die and layered that on top of that beautiful Canary design paper from the CTMH Stargazer paper pack.  And those pretty gold hearts are chipboard and are from the CTMH Springtime Complements pack.

I cut out two more of the same mat in Pear cardstock and then a few grassy layers using Lawn Fawn's grass border dies and layered them over each other at the bottom of the mat.

This stamp set is SO adorable!  Love this pile of friends helping each other to reach the top of this huge coffee cup and get themselves a warm cuppa.  That cute little bear.. he needs one badly.. that cute little teeny weeny cup was a gift from a crafty friend and it's perfect when my little critters want to indulge in some liquid gold!  It's from Memory Box and I love it!

The huge cup is also from Memory box.  I knew I wanted to use these beautiful sunflowers from the Little Acres Summer Blessings stamp set to decorate my cup.  I like that they also fit the Sunny Days theme.. because they are SUNflowers!   And that cute little foxy fox is also from the new Piles of Smiles set.  He's waiting patiently to get his cup filled too.

And this sweet sentiment from the new set says it all I think.  Love this one and the other sweet sentiments on this set.  I think it's gonna be one of my fave sets!

So thanks for stopping by!  Hope you enjoyed today's make and check out all of the beautiful over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges.  Extra wishes that you will support this awesome challenge and play along!  You have an entire month to play along with all of the weekly challenges so lots of time.  The first week was all about awesome Make It From Your Heart sketchesLast week was True Love and now we have Sunny Days.  It's not too late to play along with all of them!

See you again soon... it's a busy week!

Heart 2 Heart Challenges Guestie - True Love

Excited to be guesting again this week over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges!  This week it's all about True Love and here's what I made:

I mean, yeah, I love my hubby!  But... Nom Nom... I also love pizza... lol!  So here's to both of them!  I used some old CTMH Fundamentals for the background and had the doilies in my stash.

I threw this one together along with the other cards today for our Office Valentine Party ... we're doing some Make N Takes and I spent Sunday cutting lots of background papers, hearts, and sentiment banners so they'll have lots of options to choose from.  And today's cards are my samples.

I love this cute pizza image and sentiment from Close To My Heart's To The Moon stamp set!!  I added a squiggly line for the cheese line because I felt the need to have some sauce peeking out.  I'm telling you... I'm very picky about my pizza... even when it's just a stamp.... gotta have enough sauce!

Oh!  And here's a reminder about the Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge for February!  Nom Nom!  Be sure to play along!

So for this one, I wanted to have one card with no image so everyone at the party knew they didn't have to stamp and color an image... they could make a cute card just with some sentiments I cut on my Cricut and a few sequins and glittery hearts... BUT then there was this cutie pie from Little Acres Creations From The Pack stamp set.. and I just had to... I mean... look at him!!

I'm entering this one into the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge #320-321!  You should check this one out!

I'd be giving him Hugs & Kisses all day long!!

For this one I used some old CTMH Fundamentals for the background again and that cactus is from an oldie but goodie, CTMH Stuck On You stamp set..

Any chance to use green and pink together along with tiny heart paper and a doily...lol!

I also made this backdrop for some fun photos during the party.   It was a busy day!!

So thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you'll play along over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges!  You have all month to play along with all of the weekly challenges.  Check it out!

Heart 2 Heart Guestie for February!

Excited to be guesting with the gang over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges in February!  This week it's a sketch challenge.  You can use any sketch you like from the Make It From Your Heart How To Guides!  I used a Sketch from the Close To My Heart Make It From Your Heart Volume 1, Sketch 23, on Page 44.

Unlike myself I did a pretty good job of sticking with the sketch this time..lol!  Although my background "rectangles" are really squares but it's hard to tell because my banner goes across the whole thing.  I knew I wanted to use this "Celebrate" die from CTMH and it's pretty long, so I needed to make my center piece a little big bigger than in the sketch to be sure Celebrate stood out.

This is a birthday card for my dad so it had to be fairly masculine.. again... unlike me, no flowers and just a little bit of glitter..lol!  I think I did pretty good!  I used a Stamplorations die for that beautiful stitched background.

That handsome gray plaid and the woodgrain that I cut the banner from are from the Close To My Heart Jack paper pack-I should have bought so many extra packs of that one.  I just love those papers!  And celebrate was cut once from a distressed silver foil paper and twice from the gray that I used for the base and I stacked the three together to give them dimension and look almost like a chipboard piece.  It only takes a little bit of extra time and I love the look of it.  I use Ranger Multi Medium Matte when I do this or any time I glue on thin pieces because the glue dries to a matte finish and it doesn't curl the piece I glue it on.  (Thanks to my friend Melanie for that tip!)

I used a Craftin Desert Divas border die for that beautiful hanging banner with some silver glitter paper.  I used Liquid Glass to glue the border on .. just a small amount in a couple strategic places because I wanted it to be mosty free and also used Liquid Glass to glue on my silver sequins (then I don't have to worry about them falling off!)

I'm playing along with the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge to use a One Word Sentiment and also with the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Wednesday Challenge!  You should check these out too!

And don't forget!  You have all month to play along with all of the challenges over at Heart 2 Heart!  For this challenge, pick your favorite sketch and join in on the fun!

Three Amigos Blog Hop February 2017

Welcome to this month's Three Amigos Blog Hop!  We are three CTMH Consultants and friends who share the love of papercrafting and challenge each other every month, on the third of the month, to create something using some awesome Close To My Heart products!

And starting next month we want to see what you create as well!  We're going to turn this hop into a challenge because we thought that would be fun!  We'll have small prizes each month and you'll get all of the details in March so be sure to join us again next month!

This year we're focusing on paper packs... and this month it's all about the Hello Lovely paper pack!

I have to admit... when I first looked at all of the paper packs in the online Idea Book I wasn't sure that I liked any of them... true story!  But I ordered them for our hops and like every other time when I got them and could take out all of the papers and saw them in person... they are awesome!  Hello Lovely has become one of my favorites for sure.. these soft colors and all of the florals and the Gold!!!!

I used a PML card for that pretty circle with the floral and the center area for a sentiment.  I cut it out using a stitched circle die from Craftin Desert Divas and then covered up the sentiment that said "Best Day" with a couple stickers from the Complements pack and that gorgeous gold "Love" went over the top.  Then I layered it on top of the scallop circle from the same set of dies.

I'm used this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for my layout and I'm playing along with the Heart2Heart Challenge, Falling In Love (I'm falling in love with this paper pack!) and the Between The Folds Challenge to Use Ribbon (Challenge Schmallenge)...lol!

That pretty little pink heart is also in the Complements.  I used some paper flowers I had on hand (including that beautiful peachy one I got from Yvonne from the former Lessology Challenge Blog... all the way from Singapore... isn't it lovely?  A few die cut leaves from Heartfelt Creations and some gold bling and my cluster was perfect in my eyes.  More love.

And then of course I love you.  I do!  I so appreciate all of your visits and when you leave me some love and let me know you were here my heart swells!  I think this sweet little sentiment from the Complements pack is one of my favorites... so simple and pretty.

Now head on over to Donna and Susan's blogs and see what they have for you today!

Here's this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch... it's got lots of possibilities.. hope you can play along and be sure to check out Heart2Heart and Between The Folds as well!

Update: They like me... they really like me... :)
