I've Goat You Babe and Hand Drawn Hearts

I've goat some adorable Miss Ink Punny Farm Goats today!  These cuties make the perfect Valentines card!

Not to mention the Hand Drawn Hearts stencil!  I used Marilyn Red and Sweet Petunia Inkon3 Inks for a fun pink to red ombre and then sprayed it with some water infused with Liquid Pixie Dust and splattered some white paint over it.

Thanks so much for stopping!  Hope you'll come again soon!

Miss Ink Stamps - You Make My Heart Bleat!

Welcome back!  I have a non-traditional Valentine here today... I decided to go with a light and bright color palette and used another one of the fabulous background stamps along with it!

I just love the adorable Punny Farm Goats set!!  And I used the balloon from Punny Farm Pigs along with it.  And the Bold Love dies from Trinity went along perfectly!

And I can't say enough about this fabulous Slimline sized background stamp, Hay Daze.  I stamped it in Versamark onto the slimline panel and embossed in Gold.  Then I blended on some distress oxides... splattered with water and gold Color Shine and set it aside to dry while I colored up my images.

Added a few hearts and sequins and done!

Thanks so much for stopping today and hope you'll come again soon!

Miss Ink Release Sneak Peeks - Hay Daze!

I am SO excited!  Today is the start of sneaks for the Miss Ink Stamps release and today we're sharing cards using the new Hay Daze background stamp!  All the new stamps will be available in the shop here on August 1st!

I absolutely LOVE this stamp!  It will fill up a slimline card design!

And you can use it for an A2 card!  And you can have so many different looks depending on the orientation and size of your panel!  I've cut a bunch of panels and I'll be using this one in August in a few different ways!

I colored my panels with my Copics and added the critters from Punny Farm Goats and Punny Farm Pigs... LOVE!!!

Oh Crop! - Miss Ink Stamps

Welcome back!  If you had asked me a few days ago what this card was going to look like I'd have shrugged and said... idk...lol!  But when I decided to play again with the idea of a spotlighted framed scene and a black and white background scene I knew what I was going to do!  I wasn't quite ready to be done with the Keeping It Rural, down on the farm theme so I had stamped, cut and colored the images, not really knowing what my layout would end up looking like!

When assembling my card, I cut the white base 5x5 and stamped the Hay There background stamp off the edge ... I had played a little with the frame I found in my extras pile and knew I wanted the barn to show in the background so rather than stamping across the whoe card I stamped off of the right edge and planned on filling in with some corn on the left to fill in that space.

You've been seeing these images a bit on Instagram over the last few days possibly... I'm playing along with the 30 Day Color Challenge that's going on... we're on Day 6 and this will be my share for today.  I had colored up the images with my Copics and today I finished up adding some additional shading and detail using my Prismacolor Pencils... I also needed a couple extra images so colored those for today as well!

I also decided that this time my black and white background would have a little dimension, so outside of the frame, I added a few black and white cornstalks and popped them up.  You may know that my most used supply aside from my Copics, Misti and Memento Ink is foam tape.  I buy it in all thicknesses and widths (yeah... those are two different things...lol!)  I LOVE being able to play with dimension and the foam tape helps SO much with that.

Probably the hardest thing about putting this card together was being brave enough to cut part of my shack off when I decided part of it would be outside of the frame...lol!  I had already taken great care in coloring up the little porch and I hesitated before slicing it off and then slicing off the porch of an uncolored one!  I may have whimpered a bit as I did it... but I am SO glad I did!  I stamped a cornstalk directly onto the background... popped another black and white cut out one up and added the porch over that.

And finally, this sentiment!  It's in the Hay There set and I just adore the cute punny sentiments in all of the sets I used today!

I just finished it off with a mix of sequins and I was done... this one makes me happy!

So thanks so much for stopping by!  If you've thought about joining the Color Challenge, you can hop in at any time and you can find all of the details here!  Bunches of ways to participate and share... you don't have to have a blog!

AND did you know March is Miss Ink's birthday!  We're going to be having some fun this month so stay tuned!

Keeping It Rural - Miss Ink Stamps

Good morning!!  I am so excited you're visiting today because this one had me giggling in my craft room (still chuckling as I look at it).  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!  I grew up in rural towns and raised my kids in one also and we didn't live on a farm but we were surrounded by them and had many friends who did.  There was even a Tractor Day at the kids' school where the kids who had them would ride in on their tractors!  It was a great place to raise kids for sure... although I did tell my kids to get out and explore before they decided where they would settle... and they did!  And now I'm waiting for them to settle...lol!

Any who... I LOVE these sets and together... extra love!  I had the idea what if this farm couple wanted to have some portraits taken of them and their family... how might that look... and this is what I came up with..lol!

I mean any photographer knows... kids and animals... so hard to work with...lol!

Photobombs!

I'm playing along over at Double Trouble's challenge which is "It's a Tall Order" this time around!  Make a Tall and Skinny card.  I've also met the twist to stack it up... those chicks have stacked themselves up... looks like they might just be about to take a tumble too (don't worry... they'll be ok!  (They are partnering with Try Stampin' on Tuesday and they have a sketch this week which I didn't follow here... but if you do, you get extra chances to win at Double Trouble!)

Thank you SO much for stopping by!  Ya'll come back again real soon! (I thought that was fitting for today!)

Congrats on the New Kid! - Miss Ink Stamps

Welcome back!  I'm playing with glitter again!  This time around I've made a glitter paste with some Glossy Accents and the Mermaid Lagoon Dazzle Dust.  I applied it through the Diamond Fade Stencil for my background.

I set that aside to dry while I stamped, cut (with my Scan N Cut), and colored my images.  The balloons are from Punny Farm Pigs and the goat from Punny Farm Goats.  I added some clear wink of Stella to my balloons... I love that you can see it in this pic!

When I was done with that and my background was dry, I created my shaker using a frame from my stash.  I attached acetate to the back of the frame and then added pop up tape around the edges.  I layered my background onto a white cardstock panel and that onto a purple base.  Then I poured some of those so fun and pretty Dazzle stars over my background along with some clear and turquoise sequins.  I love that they go perfectly with the Mermaid Lagoon Dazzle Dust which shifts from purple to turquoise as you move it!

And the Dazzle Stars color shift too!  They go together perfectly!

And there you have it!  Just a touch of sparkle...lol!

I'm playing along over at Double Trouble's Again and Again Challenge!  Use three of something on your project!  I have three balloons!  And the twist is to use something from your stash and a critter... that frame die has been hanging around for a long time in my stash and it's been quite some time since I used it and a goat (obvi!)   And since I've used a critter and something from my stash, I'm playing along with DT's partner for this challenge, Use Your Stuff!  You should check both of these out!  Play along with both and you get extra chances to win at Double Trouble!

Thanks so much for stopping and hope you'll come again soon!

I've Goat You Dazzled Babe - Miss Ink Stamps

Woo hoo!  There's a new glitter in town!  If you like glitter you are gonna love the new Dazzle Dust available over at Miss Ink Stamps... it's a color shifting glitter and you can get it in 10 different color combos over in the shop right now!  Buy all 10 and get them discounted!  You can check them all out here!  Today I used the Fairy Dust and here's how I was inspired:

As you move the card (or as you move around the card) the colors seem to shift... this one goes from a beautiful greenish opalescent to a bold purple!  I used some bookbinding tape and placed it across my paper at intervals and then burnished the glitter 'til it was smooth and shiny... almost foil-ish to create the background.   It made the perfect backdrop for my cute little Valentines, using the Have Heart stamp set and those cutie pies from Punny Farm Goats!

The next picture shows how these colors change from another angle....

I love how this one changes from the Opal color to a pink-ish purple to a deep rich purple!  Check out those hearts!  I painted some little wooden hearts black and then added glossy accents to the top and dipped them into the glitter.. that dark purple is the darkest color shift in this beautiful Fairy dust mix:

If you're afraid of glitter, stay tuned!  You'll be getting lots of not so scary ideas for using it from the designers at Miss Ink..like making a glitter paste!

Thanks for stopping and be sure to come back soon!

Mixing It Up - Hogs & Kisses from Miss Ink!

Hello!  I'm stuck on the oh so adorable Punny Farm Pigs stamp set (which has some fantastic punny sentiments for Valentines Day by the way) and sharing another one with you today with a cool background I made using the Circular Harlequin stencil along with some texture paste and Wow embossing powder.
I started by die cutting a panel from Mixed Media Paper.  When I remember I like to use Mixed Media Paper when I'm using any heavy medium like Texture Paste.  I taped down the stencil just along the outside edge of my panel and applied the Texture Paste with a spatula.  One of my favorite tools for this is the Thermoweb Stencil Pal because after I apply my paste, I can run the Stencil Pal over the whole thing to smooth it out.  Once the paste was applied, I peeled off the stencil and while the paste is still wet, I sprinkled on two different "flavors" of Wow Embossing Powder randomly.  When I do this and tape the excess off,  I add the leftovers to an empty jar so I can use it in the future.  Finally I use the heat gun to met the powder... you know it's working when the paste bubbles a bit.
Next I went about stamping, cutting, and coloring my images... the pigs and ducks are from the Funny Parm Pigs set and the hearts and envelopes are from the Punny Farm Goats set.  (Which I'm pretty sure is my next obsession... stay tuned!)  I used a simple frame to frame them and made sure lots of my background would show through... because I love it!
Finally, this perfect sentiment from Punny Farm Pigs and I added some Glossy Accents to the hearts and a few of these Trinity sequins (my current fave!)  I just love that background!!
And there you have it!  Wow Embossing Powder is having a challenge this month with the theme of Love and I'm playing along over there!
Thank you so much for stopping by!  Hope you enjoyed it and come back soon for more Miss Ink inspiration!
