Three Amigos Anything Goes - Few More Days!

Super quick post today just to remind you that there are three days left to link up to the Three Amigos Anything Goes Challenge for January!  You have until 11:59 on the 31st to link up!  I sure hope you'll join us!

A friend of mine makes Valentines every year for some kids in a local children's home.  There are 90... yes 90 children who don't have parents to take care of them.  It's heartbreaking!  So she and her group three times a year make enough cards for all of the kids and bring them and other items to try to make their lives a little brighter.  She was concerned that she wasn't going to have enough and might have to make a whole bunch on her own so I told her I'd make some.  In the end some other ladies came through and they have enough with a few leftover to be sold in the Home's boutique.

I came to the game late, so I needed a quick design and thought I had the answer when I bought a couple sheets of Doodlebug paper that had cute sentiments on them, but when I went to start cutting them down I realized they weren't all appropriate for all ages.  So, although there was coloring involved with this adorable CTMH Operation Smile Punny Pals set... and they're little so it really went fast.

I just LOVE these cute little animals with their punny sayings-most good for any age!  And I used Little Dreamer papers for the background hearts and stripes (think unicorn papers) and some Fundamentals in matching colors.  I figured out my design and it was easy peasy from there!  It was easy to keep the color palette limited and I got them all done yesterday morning.  The rectangle layer was cut using a Stamplorations die and the stitched hearts with an MFT die set.  I also had the perfect little puffy conversation hearts in just the right colors and added a few Brutus Monroe sequins.

Off in the mail to her today so she can get them to their recipients on time.  Not only are the cards going to children in need of some love, but a percentage of the sale of these Punny Pals sets go to Operation Smile also, so awesome all the way around!

Thanks for stopping!  I'll definitely find out when the next set goes over to the home and make some ahead for the next time.

Do What Makes You Awesome!

Popping in for a very quick post today to remind you that you have a few hours left to play along with the May Challenge over at Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenges to use the paper pack from CTMH Little Dreamer, or inspiration from the colors in it!  Here is the paper pack:

Love this sentiment from Unity Stamp Co-their sentiments are my favorite!  It was perfect with some black glitter embossing powder....

And originally I had put flowers on this, but they just weren't right... so unlike me, I ripped off the flowers and found this leftover from one of the CTMH cartridges in my stash and it was perfect!  I also used some old embellishments... although now I have some flowers I need to use on another card so they aren't lying around...lol!

Hope you will play along with us!  And while you're at it, do what I did and play along over at Color My Heart Color Dare!  They are featuring Little Dreamer this week too!

Thanks for stopping and come back tomorrow for some Paper Sweeties goodness!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #212I

Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #212!  Today I used the sketch along with the CTMH Little Dreamer paper pack and some White Shimmer Trim.

I got lucky and found these flowers in my stash that were perfect with this paper!  I used a set from one of the Cricut Bundles for the sentiment and some CDD and Sizzix dies!

Hope you'll play along this week!

Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge May 2017

Welcome to the May Three Amigos Blog Hop Challenge #2, Little Dreamer!  The challenge runs until May 31st and is to use the LIttle Dreamer paper pack or the colors... use the photo of the paper pack below for inspiration:
When I first saw this paper pack I didn't think I was going to need a whole pack so I split it with my mom... um... Mom, I need my other half back...

For this one, I wanted to use this cool watercolored plaid background I made... a technique I learned over at Choux Choux Paper Art a couple weeks ago... it was a ton of fun and here's a link to Lori's blog if you want to check out her video here.  Although when I made mine the "lagoon" stripe was green... there is no green in this paper pack so I took my Zig watercolor markers and added some turquoise on top to match the lagoon instead... I think it worked pretty good!  And aren't the new rainbow and cloud dies from Craftin Desert Divas awesome!!!!!????

So, I cut the smaller unicorn out of this PML card thinking the larger one wasn't going to fit in this CDD Scalloped Circle, but when I flipped it around there it was... perfect!  Except I forgot that meant my circle was backwards...lol!   Oh well... sorry not sorry!

And I had the perfect sentiment from Lawn Fawn to go with it... on the inside it says (Because I do) ... I meant to take a pic of it and even decorated it a little, but ... I didn't... you can imagine I'm sure!  I wanted to add a little gold so I used gold embossing powder for the sentiment on vellum (so my plaid could show through) and the gold gems instead of the ones that coordinate with the paper pack...

So thanks for stopping by and hope you play along this week!  Visit Susan and Donna's Blogs to see what they have created for your viewing pleasure and head on over to the Three Amigos Blog and play along!  A badge will be coming soon...
